Easy to install and comes with a nice fan. I don't really overclock so getting the x version is good for me. This also came with division 2

Comes with an excellent CPU cooler. Very fast and overclocks itself with my Mobo. BB packaging was bad tho as internally plastic was broken

Awesome performance, 8 cores, 16 threads. Put it in an AM4 socket motherboard paired with lots of high speed DDR4 memory. Legendary!

wew lads, so I pretty much just game in ESO right now, which is a CPU eater at endgame, or in cities. my 2600x and 2060rtx were able to pull a steady 60+ fps in city with an oc at 4.1MHz Just picked up the 2700x, disabled 2 cores, and got it to OC to 4.3 MHz at 1.38v. I now average 90+ fps in cities, and solid 144+ when i'm exploring on my own, while streaming, listening to music, discord, etc. I would wait for new zen to come out before buying though, i'm just impulsive.

When I first built my PC I could not find Intel processors anywhere! Best Buy was the only place I could find a processor and it ended up being an AMD as the only option. Let me say honestly that it was the best decision of my life! RYZEN processors are incredible and have kept me enjoying hours upon hours of gaming with never any issues!!!!!

AMD wins the price/performance crown again! I use this cpu in my PC that is both a gaming PC and a PLEX server. I can game and record 2 live TV shows off the antenna AND stream 2-3 different recorded shows at the same time. This CPU is amazing. Utilization will vary during gameplay of course, but I tested recording 2 live tv shows and streamed 6 pre-recorded shows at the same time and never went above 25% utilized. Great Performance!

I’ve been looking for a new desktop soulution for a while, and ultimately decided on the Ryzen 7 2700x vs the i7-8700k. The Ryzen 7 has 2 additional cores (4 additional threads) over the 8700k making it a better option for heavy multitasking and running my home media server. The stock cooler it ships with is very nice as well. However to take full advantage of the 2700x a good liquid cooler will be in my near future.

AMD has done a great job with the new Ryzen series. Especially with the 2700X, which is a refined version of the 1700X. With 8 cores and 16 threads, this is great at multitasking and runs my PC really quick. Highly recommend getting this cpu if you are building a high end PC.

Its a really fast cpu vs the 1800x . i must of had a broken 1800x it never went past 3.6 ghz no matter what. Only con i have is it isnt reading the temps right. i am running a x370 Msi carbon . im sure that will be fixed with some bios updates.. bios says its running less than 30c. windows its peaking 50c while the 1800x would maybe get 48c full load gaming. . im using a hydro h105 cooler so if its running hot ill be amazed. my fps did increase alot vs the 1800x. this may not be the case with all 1800x cpus. i just seemed to have a dud of a 1800x or i probably would of not bothered getting this. just do yourself a favor get this one over the 1800x its a faster cpu and same or similar price

I’ve been using AMD products since the early 1990’s and this is the BEST CPU yet! It is really fast and I have not had any issues with overheating. I’m using the built-in 360 Liquid Cooling System that came in the DEEPCOOL GENOME ROG Certified Edition ATX Gaming Mid Tower Computer Case. I’m running Battlefield 1 and Star Control Origins in awesome 4k with plenty of power to spare. By the way, Best Buy priced matched the CPU!!!! Just for reference, the following are the components of my gaming computer: - AMD - 2700X Octa-Core 3.7 - ASUS ROG Strix X470-F Gaming AMD Motherboard - PowerColor RED DRAGON Radeon RX Vega 56 DirectX 12 AXRX VEGA 56 8GBHBM2-2D2HD/OC - G.SKILL TridentZ RGB Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3600 (PC4 28800) Desktop Memory Model F4-3600C18D-16GTZRX
