I own two Ryzen 7 5800X CPUs—one in my main gaming rig and another powering my dedicated streaming machine—and I honestly can’t recommend it enough. If you're looking for top-tier performance without breaking the bank, this chip is a beast. Whether it's high-FPS gaming, multitasking, or live streaming with video encoding, the 5800X handles it all like a champ. In my experience, it consistently delivers smooth gameplay and reliable performance across every title I throw at it—from AAA games to emulators—while my streaming PC churns through OBS and video rendering tasks effortlessly. What really makes the 5800X stand out is just how much value you get for the price. You're getting 8 cores and 16 threads of pure performance built on the efficient Zen 3 architecture. For both gaming and productivity, it continues to be one of the best bang-for-your-buck CPUs you can buy today. That said, there’s one thing to know: it runs hot. Not dangerously so, but hot enough that you need a good cooler—don’t cheap out here. I use quality aftermarket air coolers and my temps stay in check even under full load. If you pair this CPU with the right cooling, it’s an absolute powerhouse.

CPU has been a great upgrade from my Ryzen 5 2600. My PC runs smoother and faster. Mine came with a Wraith Cooler and it's fan is pretty loud.

Amzing cpu one of the best you can get on am4 since 5800x3ds arent being made and supet expensive on the used market

Excellent CPU upgrade from my Ryzen 5 3600. Temps stay low and everything runs and loads so much faster.

the price is a bit high for what it is but if you can get it on sale below $200, its well worth the price for its performance. i got lucky and searched amazon while at the store and they was willing to price match it for me at $160 and since the 5600x was only about $30 less, i decided to grab this one.

Upgraded from a 2600x. Noticeably difference in PC speeds, also combined with my new 5060 gpu. Editing in 4k is much easier and I do not get as much lag.

This is a replacement for a ryzen 7 5700. Noticeably faster performance with this new CPU. Install was flawless with no issues. The included cooler works very well also. I had an AIO and decided to give the included fan cooler a try and I'm pleased with the results. Quiet and works well, plus it has RGB which I didn't expect.

Works great for the price. I paired it with a 9060xt GPU and the two go together very well.

after my 5900x gave out needed something with some power but not to crazy, and this so far has been doing great!
