Absolutely fantastic CPU. Purchased exclusively for gaming, its been a massive uplift from an Intel 9900K, particularly in titles like Spiderman Remastered and Cyberpunk 2077. Easy to install, the new AM5 platform was very smooth to get up and running. Hardware Unboxed has an awesome video review of this chip, and all my experiences line up with it. If all you're going to do is game, the 7700x matches and in some cases exceeds the 7950x in fps and 1% lows, akd that chip is $300 more. Perfect gaming card for this generation of AMD CPUs.

I originally wanted to hold out for the 3D cache versions of these chips but honestly I don't regret just sticking with this. As far as gaming goes, it's a little better than the 5800x3D and maybe 15% worse in framerate than the 7800x3D, but really not much different for any other tasks. If gaming is your primary goal, get the 7800x3D. Despite only being 8 cores, this thing still rips through code compilation and other development tasks, as well as audio production. Pair this up with a set of RAM that can XMP up to or past 6ghz and your system will fly. Like many others, I chose to undervolt the CPU and managed to get a -25 PBO curve while limiting the wattage to about 110,000. That with my 360mm all in one cooler my system is pretty cool, quiet, and very fast.

I've been using this CPU for nearly a year at this point and its a wonderful little beast. Coming from an intel i7-11700k, overall she performs better and runs a bit cooler than my old CPU whenever I'm doing anything whether that's productivity or gaming. Highly recommend it at either its full price or on sale.

This processor is a power house and will consistently run at 5.5ghz under load. Temps have been a bit higher then previous series, but are very quick to drop down to what you’d expect in idle. Make sure bios is updated with the mobo you pick but amazing performance overall.

Amazing Ryzen CPU. AMD has really knocked the 7000 series CPU's out of the park with their performance and the Ryzen 7 7700x is an excellent example. The price point for this CPU is un-matched by any other Ryzen or Intel CPU and it processing speed is amazing. My one and only complaint with this CPU is that it does not include any air cooler like some of the others have but it is certainly not a deal breaker.
**If you do end up purchasing this or any other 7000 series CPU do not be alarmed by the high CPU temps, all the 7000 series CPU's run significantly hotter that past generations even with AIO's.**

bought it to upgrade to AM5 when upgrading my mobo was worth it it can get a slight bit hot but that's not a problem if you use the right cooler for it i didn't use a good cooler but still worth the price

This processor is all around, good for the money. It works well, overclocks well and stays cool with an AIO. I have not had any problems with this processor for the last year. It chugs through anything thrown at it from programming to rendering map data.

I’ve had my RTX 2070s for years and I do plan on upgrading that soon, but for now I had to do the CPU. And I’ll say that this thing is a beast. I had a 10700KF and performance wise, the 7700x nearly tripled the performance.

Stellar performance. This was a pretty big upgrade for me but with the games I play, content creation I do and general PC user life I have had zero issues at all. Would buy all over again
