It’s not the Ryzen 7 9800x3d but it does the job with about 100fps on rust when there’s tons of bases and stuff going on otherwise i can run 240 fps on UKN overall gets the job done.

Great processor, I went with it because it's the best for gaming except for the 9800X3D which wasn't readily available at the time I built my new system.

Nothing better than the 7800x3d (except the 9800x3) for gaming. This has such great price to performance, it's a must for anyone building a new PC. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

For anyone keeping themselves updated on the latest new CPUs, this one is obviously the single dominating processor in gaming.
Performance is almost as expected, but any potential buyers should note the words on AMD's product page for this item, saying the 5.0 GHz max boost clock is only possible in "short and bursty" workloads, typical boost clock for longer workloads maxes at about 4.8 across all cores.
Should also be noted that Best Buy's return policy for this CPU specifically is NOT GOOD. Only allowing 14 days for an item to be tested is simply not sufficient on pc parts. Especially for a CPU that is as volatile as this one, its very possible that it will either sit in its box for 14 days waiting for other parts to ship, or that no issues will be seen until after the 14 day return period has expired. 7800X3D chips have been known to "slow cook" themselves to death on high quality silicon, or just outright melt on lower quality silicon. My best advice is to buy elsewhere, or at least make sure AMD can directly replace the CPU if damaged.

I'm extremely impressed by the solid performance, and I have been using Intel since I started building (10 years now). It probably has won me over to AMD now for the foreseeable future.

Good cpu for gaming. Upgrading from ryzen 7 5800x was definitely an upgrade. I bought this when it was 450 dollars. I’ve seen it going for 350 now and would recommend it at that price for a gaming cpu
