For anyone keeping themselves updated on the latest new CPUs, this one is obviously the single dominating processor in gaming.
Performance is almost as expected, but any potential buyers should note the words on AMD's product page for this item, saying the 5.0 GHz max boost clock is only possible in "short and bursty" workloads, typical boost clock for longer workloads maxes at about 4.8 across all cores.
Should also be noted that Best Buy's return policy for this CPU specifically is NOT GOOD. Only allowing 14 days for an item to be tested is simply not sufficient on pc parts. Especially for a CPU that is as volatile as this one, its very possible that it will either sit in its box for 14 days waiting for other parts to ship, or that no issues will be seen until after the 14 day return period has expired. 7800X3D chips have been known to "slow cook" themselves to death on high quality silicon, or just outright melt on lower quality silicon. My best advice is to buy elsewhere, or at least make sure AMD can directly replace the CPU if damaged.

Good cpu for gaming. Upgrading from ryzen 7 5800x was definitely an upgrade. I bought this when it was 450 dollars. I’ve seen it going for 350 now and would recommend it at that price for a gaming cpu

Came from a 12900k. First AMD desktop cpu in over a decade. The performance of this CPU is insnae value. Paired with a 7900xtx there is no game i cannot run at a high framrate at 1440p. Absolutely destroys Call of Duty and Tarkov with ease. Extreamly happy with this purchase and would highly recommend.

Been waiting for a great sale to upgrade my computer and hello Black Friday. Coming from an I7 8700 which was still fine, I’m very happy with my purchase. I purchased for 369 but also check Newegg and Amazon to see who has the lower price

Upgraded from 5900x to pair with my 4080, I've had it for 2 days so far and its definitely been worth the switch to am5, I did lower my SoC Voltage to 1.200v for ease of mind but for 1440p gaming my 1% lows and avg fps gone up noticeably just an all around amazing experience with this cpu so far

This has to be the absolute best processor out! The price to performance is incredible! The new AM5 socket is great and the speed and performance when gaming in unmatched to any of my older CPU’s if you want the best of the best, this is it!

I built a gaming PC and this AMD Ryzen 7 is awesome. i havent even unlocked the processor yet. DDR5 Ram and ROG strix motherboard all go together like PB and J. Im also using the entire Adobe suite for video and audio editing.

This small thing is a BEAST. I moved from amd to intel thinking it will be better but then looking at the reviews and actually coming back to AMD was the best decision i have made.
