Rock-Solid Gaming Powerhouse
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Ryzen 7 7800X3D has been an absolute powerhouse in my system. After more than two years of use, it has handled everything I throw at it without a single issue, from modern AAA games to heavy multitasking and everyday work. The 3D V-Cache really shines in gaming, keeping frame rates smooth and consistent even in CPU-heavy titles. What I appreciate most is how effortless it feels in day-to-day use. I can game, stream, keep a bunch of browser tabs open, and run background apps without the system feeling bogged down. Temperatures and power draw stay reasonable with a decent cooler, and I have never had to worry about random crashes or instability. If you are building a gaming-focused PC and want a CPU that will last for years without feeling outdated, this chip is an easy 5-star choice. It has more than enough muscle for both current games and general productivity, and it has proven itself incredibly reliable over time.

AMD 7800X3D
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. In pure gaming scenarios, the 7800X3D delivers absurdly smooth frame rates and excellent 1% / 0.1% lows, especially in CPU-bound titles or at 1080p/1440p resolutions. Games that hammer memory latency and cache (think simulation-heavy titles, strategy games, MMOs, or anything with lots of AI/objects) see massive uplifts compared to non-X3D CPUs with similar core counts. Even in 2026, it frequently punches at or near the level of much newer chips in real-world gaming, often within 5–15% of the current king (the Ryzen 7 9800X3D) depending on the title and resolution. When paired with a high-end GPU like an RTX 4080/4090 or RX 7900 XTX, it rarely becomes the bottleneck at 1440p or 4K. The huge cache keeps minimum frame rates rock-solid, eliminating a lot of stuttering that plagues standard CPUs in demanding modern games.

Worth the switch
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I switched from Intel to the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D and I’ve been so impressed. This processor delivers excellent gaming performance and smooth responsiveness across the board, especially in CPU-intensive titles, thanks to AMD’s advanced design and 3D V-Cache technology. Users on Best Buy overwhelmingly recommend it for both serious gaming and high-performance builds, praising its fast speeds, lower power consumption, and great value for the price. 98% of buyers would recommend it — and that matches my experience of building a more efficient, snappier PC since the switch. Whether you’re upgrading for gaming, content creation, or everyday performance, the Ryzen 7 7800X3D is a standout choice.

I was looking for somthing that offered great prefomance paired with the ability to last and wow did I find it. I’ve never had a problem installing a CPU but something about this new Am5 design just seemed to make the process as smooth as butter! I know its is covered by my cooler but the design just shouts quility especailly when in hand. Perfect CPU for high end gaming
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Recently upgraded from the Ryzen 7 7800x3D to the Ryzen 7 9800x3D and the performance increase is noticeable. I do some multi tasking/work from home and I have noticed the increase in load management. I mainly use it for gaming. The increase in FPS is there. The stablity increase is there. The low 1 percents are superior while gaming over the 7800x3D and i have had 0 stutter issues since switching. I currently have this CPU paired witb a RTX 5080 and they work perfectly together running in 4K Ultra. CPU doesn't run hot or appear to have any issues. I have a Titan 360mm AIO for cooling and under full load have had 0 thermal issues. Very pleased. Best CPU I have ever owned.

Gaming Beast!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you're building a gaming machine this is the CPU to buy. Not only does it best the 13900K in most gaming benchmarks but it also costs less and uses 90w less on average. The upside to that is you use less electricity and you don't need a gigantic cooling solution like the Noctua D-15 or Dark rock Pro 4, and certainly not liquid cooling. I have this paired with an x670E Gigabyte Aorus Master and Corsair DDR5 6000mhz C30 Expo certified memory kit and with the latest BIOS update I have had no issues with the RAM running at the rated speed. Coming from an Intel 11700K, I can tell the difference without a framerate counter. Some intense gaming scenes which would make the intel dip in performance, this thing handles like a champ without a stutter. While I typically like to leave some criticism, I have none. AMD really knocked it out of the park with this CPU.

One of the best gaming CPUs on the market
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this CPU to build a custom rig for my nephew. This is a beast of a CPU to run for games due to the X3D cache technology from AMD. Overall it runs great out of the box but could be fine turned better through PBO and undervolting. It does run on the hot side when compared to the latest general of x3D CPUs from AMD.

My experience with the Ryzen 7 7800X3D
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My experience with the Ryzen 7 7800X3D has been fantastic. My games run incredibly smooth, and the extra cache makes a noticeable difference, especially in competitive games. It's also remarkably efficient, staying cool even under heavy load, so my fans don't sound like a jet engine. Switching to this from my older processor was definitely worth it for the performance boost. I don't do heavy video editing, but for pure gaming, this chip is a monster. It was easy to set up and has been completely stable. This was a great upgrade that has taken my PC's performance to the next level.

Powerful Chip for the right price
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upgraded to this from the 5600x which, to be fair is still a decent cpu. However, when I upgraded to a 4070Ti Super, found was bottlenecking pretty hard. This chip is a beast in comparison and very happy with it. If debating between this and the 7900x3D, go for this one. Save the money and get more performance. The design of the 7900x3D actually limits how many cores can access the cache it offers. This 7800x3D is perfect and beats out most intels unless money is no object.
