It was the best gaming CPU out when I ordered it and it only took two days to arrive. Too bad in that short amount of time AMD launched the 9850x3d

The 9800x3d was the perfect upgrade for a system thst already had am5. The extra cache is well worth it for eliminating stutters in games and overall it had been a smooth experience for me. I would recommend the amd cpu experience any day

It works to its capability. Did nit have any issues with it overheating or anything as of yet.

Even from coming from a 5800X3D CPU, this was still a huge leap forward. The 9800X3D when paired with a capable GPU will not disappoint you. I’ve had zero issues whatsoever. Thermals are great, and this things just eats up whatever CPU intensive games you throw at it.

Best cpu you can buy if you’re gaming if it’s within your budget I’d recommend this cpu 10/10 times

I was running a 4070 super with my i9-9900K and could tell my cpu was bottlenecking my gpu because my 1% lows were always dipping and causing stutters at those high frame rates @1440p resolution. Ever since upgrading to the 9800X3D, everything has been smooth and snappy. In-Game Benchmark: Black Ops 6 1440p Fidelityfx Competitive Graphics Settings; i9-9900K+4070 Super @167 AVG. FPS. benchmark~CPU50%/GPU50%; 9800X3D+4070S @206 AVG. FPS. benchmark~CPU0%/GPU100%.

Totally newbie here,, from what i can tell my processor has been great to my system. I pair it with a 5070 OC from Gigabyte. One might be over kill for the other (im not too too sure), regardless i think it’s great!

Awesome cpu for gaming. It doesn't run hot and temps are great with a good liquid cooler.

Runs great, easy to install, runs better than the ryzen 5 i had in

9800X3D, does what it says on the tin. 32GB Crucial cl38 @5400mhz B850 board 9070XT Gets 160fps max settings BF6 with no tuning, thermals are great with a 360mm rad so I'm not even going to bother. Only Con: Very picky with memory, buy your motherboard based on whatever memory is on the verified list that you can afford/obtain.
