Very impressed with this processor. Considering getting an AIO liquid cooler but thermals are still manageable with my workload using the stock cooler. Worth the money and the tech should last a while!

you must not overclock this processor without checking voltages in bios. The voltage settings on MSI boards are insane for overclocking, you might fry it if you don't make certain. I set max voltage for cpu at 1.3, it was way higher than that. MSI desperately needs to get their bios updates out to fix the problem. Oh and I paired this with MSI MPG x570 gaming pro carbon wifi, great board.
And a corsair H60 AIO cools it pretty well, 55 degrees under load.

I am running this on a Gigabyte X470 motherboard on F41 bios. Initially had an issue with the network driver (blue screen booting windows) which required me to reinstall my old processor and disable it in device manager. Then re-enable it again after booting with the new proc installed. Since then I have had zero issues and performance is amazing as would be expected.

I initially had some issues with getting it to sit properly, but once I did, I lived it. BIOS is pretty easy to use, and my computer runs way more smoothly than before. I did get an x570 motherboard, with 16gb of RAM. I normally use a different heatsink, but the one it came with was dope! It took forever to be available, but I'm glad I was able to get it once it was back in stock. Worth the money, especially with how cheap it is!

This CPU is absolutely overkill for my needs, but at the price ($499.99) it was beyond worth it! It also came with a 2 game bundle of Boarderlands 3 and Outer Worlds, which were both a $60 value at time of purchase. Not to mention the Xbox game pass. all in all i got to say I'm immensely satisfied with my purchase and know it will still be an exceptional CPU for years to come.
Since I never used the CPU fan that it came with and instantly upgrading to a water cooler, I may not be able to speak for any weaknesses/issues that are a result of that.

By the grace of the computer gods themselves I have finally been blessed with this beauty. As of the writing of this review I have run benchmarks on my rig (specs at the end), and have received scores rating it in the top 80% of 4K gaming. Must have also been in the Grace's of the silicone lottery as well, she is boosting to 4.4 GHz under load and 4.6 for general application which is exactly what AMD advertised.

This processor is amazing for CPU intensive tasks. The stock cooler does an good enough job to keep it cool for the most part, but if you want to overclock you should upgrade to a better aftermarket cooler.

Can't complain. Replaced my 2700X in an ASUS CH7 and running 4.0GHz on all cores @ 1.2v with 32GB RAM @ 3600MHz.

Processing power amazing, though Intel gives a little more accessibility on the motherboard, AMD rocks when it comes to what projects I run on my rig

If you reading about a boxed CPU then you probably already know how AMD and there Ryzen CPUs have changed the market. Intel sat to long with just minor performance improvements over the years and let AMD catch up. But even more frustrating is Intel needing new motherboards with new CPUs. I just built a small ITX computer and this is an amazing about of processing power for the price. I was worried about getting the "X" model when the "XT" versions were due but it turned out the performance difference is probably not work the extra cost. I am very happy with the performance and value.

Powerful and efficient processor. Mine was able to sustain a 4.1 GHz all-core overclock without too much impact to games, and at stock once voltages are fixed in BIOS it easily hits 4.6 GHz on boost. Be aware that it runs HOT and is sensitive to RAM speed (speed more than CAS latency). Also be aware that motherboard manufacturers are setting voltages high for Ryzen 9 processors. Only recommended to fix it if you understand what you're doing, because messing with voltages in BIOS can ruin products, but with proper voltages the Ryzen 9 products all become manageable with heat and boost better without having to fight itself for thermals management.

This is best all around processor you can get..... It may not have the most FPS compare to the 9900K but I don't just use my computer for only gaming and that is where this processor is made of gold.
Gaming Performance is Great

This CPU is outstanding for the price. It's not as good as an i9 ten gen but at a $410 price point it's amazing. You get the same level of gaming as an i7 with more multi task capabilities.

I put this processor into a new build with the latest, fastest M.2 SSD. Unfortunately I had to install the garbage Win 10 in order to use new hardwares. I also left my beloved Win 7 build with a 4400 MHz older AMD processor and 2.5 SSd intact in another case, which I disconnected from online.
The Ryzen system is clearly snappier, despite the practically same CPU frequences. It could be the much faster M.2 drive, 64GB memory, fresh registry and maybe the hated Win 10. Win 10 interface is nothing but a garbled Win 7, so I have to make shortcuts to locate the SAME features in the task bar.
Yes, I would recommend this processor!

Well worth the price. 24 processes on 12 cores. Very fast. Only wish is that it had video built in but you can't have it all on that size chip.

I’ve been using Intel in all my builds for years. While the 9700k might still outperform AMD’s new offering in certain gaming situations, the benefits outside of gaming are very apparent with the 3900X. If you ONLY game, then it might be worth saving some money and getting an Intel 6700K, but I think the 3900X is worth the extra money for all of the non-gaming benefits it provides. It’s a beast.
