This thing rocks. Had a Ryzen 7 1700 with a MSI Carbon Pro B350 board and thought it was time for an upgrade. So I upgraded and this thing is a beast. I'm only going to tweak it a bit so the stock fan should be fine. The RGB lighting does make the build pop. So far so good.

Probably the best purchase I’ve made upgrading my PC. The render time for videos and my stream quality while gaming while also being able to be ran nice and cool is phenomenal for the price. There isn’t much of a performance difference gaming compared to any of the other 3000 series cpus from Ryzen so if you wanna save some money I’d recommend getting the 3600 if you’re strictly gaming and get some new ram, storage or a MOBO.

Worked well out of the box after a BIOS update to my motherboard.
As with other Ryzen launches, there are a few teething issues, but most are easy to work around and will improve with newer BIOS updates.
Overall a great price for the performance it provides.

I built a very high end rig with this cpu.
The corsair nvme.2 2tb ssd
4 sticks of ddr4 8gb ram.
an asrock x570 mobo
a corsair water cooler for the cpu.
With a nvidia 1660ti gpu
This cpu rocks it does 1500 hash rate for xmr. with stock cooler. and I can watch netflix while I am mining the xmr. I got a nice deal for this from bestbuy I am extremely happy with this cpu.
I will post back once I put the cpu water cooler into it.

Title says us all, won’t be switching back to intel if AMD keeps releasing CPU’s like this in the further. Can’t go wrong with this one and for its price (I also purchased during promotion) it’s amazing. Definitely worth it. AMD has certainly stepped their game up.
By the way, 12 cores?! Nuts.

Great processor alternative to intel, and for the first time in a long time AMD is competing with intel in the high end. If you do gaming this is the processor for you, if you do gaming and anything else that is processor intensive, this is REALLY the processor for you.

Very powerful processor, will last for years, more like 5+. Mine OC well with one CCD doing 4.5ghz and the other 4.3ghz. Later ones would do better as a note when the 7nm process matured more making these. If you can't get a Zen 3 or 5900x, these on sale can be a good bargain. I have no issue with gaming performance and professional application performance.

This chip tears through anything you throw at it without slowing down. Can download multiple programs and installs, run web browsers, and game simultaneous and not lose any steam. If you don't need the extra cores and threads, the 3600x and 3700x will perform just as well for games and desktop usage.

This thing, a beast. I have an Alienware 240hz monitor and I had a 2700x. Didn’t get anything over 140fps. Now I’m hitting 170-190. Paired with a x470 motherboard for now and 32gb ram. I am getting my money’s worth. No need to over clock. Definitely a recommendation and got it for a steal.

Running EasyHDR, this thing just flies as that app uses all 24 threads very well. Also handles running multiple video games at once, in case you like to task switch between games as well.
Overclocking these is actually tricky. Better off for most folks to just let it auto-boost as it does out of the box - just make sure you set a max wattage limit in your BIOS.

I went from an old 3rd gen i5 to this beast. Not really much I can nitpick on the performance since it blows my old CPU out of the water by a ton. I've been happy with it and, as someone who does not upgrade often, am looking forward to this serving me for numerous years to come

It's been a long while since I've built a non-Intel rig and I could not be happier than I am with this one.
The 3900X has lived up to all of my expectations installed into an Asus Crosshair VIII Hero motherboard. Been running rock solid and paired with a Noctua NH-U14S cooler since day one.

I like to run a lot of programs and 12 cores seems to handle it nicely. This is an upgrade from the Intel i7 2600K. To go from 4/8 to 12/24 is such a wild swing. I fear I'm being bottlenecked now by only having 16GB of RAM!
Still not certain about the included cooler. It looks nice with the LEDs but I wonder if I should replace it with a better cooler.

Used this cpu on my first ever desktop build. Following some guides online and adding a liquid all in one cooler, I have been able to get 4.4 Ghz all core performance. This is outperforming Threadripper 1950x cpu's in the benchmarks I've performed. Very happy with AMD and this cpu.

I upgraded from an i7 6700k with a 1080ti. My i7 was getting a bit dated and my GPU was being bottlenecked which wouldn’t allow me to stream very well. Now I have no worries with whatever I throw at my CPU. Can’t really beat a hyper productive 12 core killing machine.

This CPU is amazing, an excellent upgrade option from my 1st gen CPU. It was great AMD included a cooler with this CPU but, I used my Noctua NH-U14S instead. So far, paired with the Asus Gaming TUF X570-Plus (wifi) all has been awesome!
