I have no real complaints except heat, but the msi 360rAIO makes light work of it. Excellent at everything I throw at it.

Great performance for the price. I debated on buying the 5950x but decided this was more reasonable for my usage.

This CPU is really cool, it can handle so much, I don’t even think I have had above 30% use

I’ve always wanted to have a Ryzen 9 I finally decided to do so! Using this for editing on Photoshop and Lightroom is awesome! I have no issues with rendering or making quick changes like I used to. And for gaming it’s a little overkill but I have no regrets!

The Ryzen 9 5900X delivers exceptional value with its impressive price-to-performance ratio and minimal power consumption. I've remained a satisfied AMD user ever since making the switch from Intel back in 2011.

I highly recommend this for somebody who's trying to run multiple programs at once. I can run Photoshop and Lightroom and run a couple other things that all at once with ease.
Best cpu upgrade Ryzen 3 to Ryzen 9 never have Seen speed and easy to install.

Absolute monster of a CPU. Will handle anything with ease. Total overkill for my purposes. Gets a little a rowdy on the temps, so get an adequate cooler and plenty of airflow through your case.

I've owned this cpu since late 2021, and let me tell that it works great for needs. I had paired with evga 3070 ti ftw3, and they both worked great. Now, after purchasing the 4090 gaming oc, i am still impressed... both from Best Buy. I am running these 2 on the May 2023 bios update on MSI B550 mag tomahawk max wifi also purchased from Best Buy. I was going to upgrade from this one to the 5800x3d, after playing around with my setting through the bios, I have better performance in gaming, streaming and some video editing. For example I get average frames per second (FPS) 221 on Shadow Of Tomb Raider and 666 max. Even though the game is from 2018 and updated on 2019 for 4k. On Call Of Duty MW 2, I also get pretty hi fps 228 average which great on 2560×1440. I was also getting average 90 fps and 140 fps on CP2077 with no monitor capping. Using Cl14-15-15-36 is great for gaming. I do have the cpu topped at 4750 mhz and slightly undervolted. So is my 4090@1050Mv. Using a high end air cooler with dual 120mm fans on the cpu, and and 7 case fans for proper air flow. I hope this helps anyone looking to purchase this 5900x. Whether for streaming or gaming, it has been worth for use for the past 2 years. I found that upgrading to the 5800x3d just isn't worth the upgrade for me, so, I should be good for a couple of more years.

The Ryzen 9 5900X is a masterclass in price/performance. It's multithreading capabilities make it a perfect heart for any workstation and despite not being the peak of gaming when stacked up against AMD's own Ryzen X3D models it can carve through games like butter. It's been a night and day difference upgrading from a Ryzen 5 5600 to this CPU. You truly feel all the weight and passion AMD puts into designing these chips. I would buy this CPU again and again for MSRP for the builds of my friends and family because of just how reliable and capable it is. The subtle automatic overclocking the chip does based on temperature and accompanying components only furthers it's longevity. If it's on sale; buy it. If it's not on sale; buy it. If the NEW Ryzen 9s are of equivalent price; get the new ones because they're even more excellent.
