I had some issues with quality in previous purchases for this item and BestBuy customer service was glad to help with it. Love the customer service provided and can’t wait to build my pc with this component! Great price for the value and price matching this to another competitor was a breeze.

12 cores of cool running power. Its handled any game or work application I've thrown at it. Massive leap from my old 9700k.

After over a decade, my old rig was starting to show its age. It was time for something new that could load a my browser's hundreds of tabs without lag. This does the trick nicely. Streaming, gaming, video editing.. every suite of tools I use opens in no time at all, doesn't stutter, and all those seconds add up. A real time saver. Installation was easy. Should last me another decade methinks.

Upgraded my whole platform from a AM4 to AM5. And went from a ryzen 7 3700x to the 7900x, and man this thing is fast. And now I also am getting full performance for my rtx 3090. I would highly suggest a good cooler. Because it does run hot. Rendering in daz studio has never felt so fast. And gaming is buttery smooth. Also I didn't realize this CPU has built in graphics. Making it technically a APU instead of a CPU. A long needed upgrade, and the performance increase is incredible. Now to get another 2tb or larger m.2 to fit my daz studio program. So I can take it off my HDD to get faster load times. And more ram lol.

Great CPU for gaming in my experience. Found no issue and can be overclocked. Just keep in mind when overclocking that the other component is powerful enough to keep up, Been using AMD CPU Chip instead of Intel and this has never disappointed me. Glad this cpu chip is not the old fashion pin types that can easily be bent. Overall, I am happy with this purchase and I am quite confident that I will be using this cpu for more than a decade. Recommending to invest on higher end cpu cooler as this does overheat if using any regular stock. Experience may vary, but if you have enough money to purchase this, make sure you have a well working cpu cooler to keep it working.

I recently had the chance to use the Ryzen 9 7900X, and I have to say — this CPU is absolutely impressive. The performance it delivers is outstanding, whether you're gaming, multitasking, or running heavy workloads like video editing or 3D rendering. The 12-core, 24-thread architecture handles everything I throw at it with ease, and the responsiveness is top-notch. The efficiency and speed are noticeable right from the start. Applications open instantly, games run buttery smooth even at high settings, and productivity tasks are completed faster than I expected. The new AM5 platform and DDR5 support also future-proof this processor for years to come. Overall, the Ryzen 9 7900X is a beast of a CPU, and I am extremely satisfied with the performance. I would absolutely love to use this product again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for serious power and reliability in their build.

I wanted a 9900X, but it just happened to be in stock after i bought this. No problem, as the price was much better and it far surpassed what i had. It does run hot and you have to did in the BIOS to cool it down. The speed is shocking, but i mainly got it for the pcie 4/5.0. It does make difference on a gpu like the RTX 4080. An hour and a half 720p video now renders in 7 minutes. Video games look cleaner and run smoother. All textures are clear and you can even read labels on boxes! I played a few games that never gave me issues on the last setup, but they look so much more shockingly better with stronger color info, detail and cleaness. Watching video and films reveals more detail and the full limits of video quality. I should done it earlier, but I did try intel, but the 14900k would never boot up. AMD has AVX512, while intel does not. Im still shocjed that it out performs my previous intel 12-core.

I'm happy with this processor . It's fast and my new 'built' computer boots much faster than the computer it replaces. I paired it with the 4060 GPU AMD and I put 2-2 TB SSD's in for storage. I have 64 GB RAM using the G.SKILL Trident Z5 RGB Series 32GB (2 x 16GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR5 6400 Desktop Memory Model F5-6400J3239G16GX2-TZ5RK and the GAMEMAX Master TG Black Tempered Glass Full Tower Computer Case w/3x120mm Autoflow Rainbow Fans (Pre-Installed). I;m using CORSAIR RMe Series RM1200e ATX Power Supply – Fully Modular – ATX 3.0 – 80 PLUS Gold – Cybenetics Platinum – Low-Noise – .. and the MB is an ASUS TUF GAMING B650-E WIFI AMD B650 AM5 ATX motherboard, DDR5, 8+2 teamed power stages, PCIe 5.0, a PCIe 5.0 M.2 slot, Use this config for gaming and general computing

I have noticed a very big difference between the Ryzen 5 8600G and the Ryzen 9 7900X. I upgraded to the 7900X and have better functions while 3D printing, gaming, and using CAD programs.

Great CPU, absolutely amazing. Would recommend for the price right now as its amazing for a high powered radeon or nvidia card. Can run 4k with ease. Handles anything you throw at it

Bonkers of a cpu, and I love everything about it. Upgraded from an I7-6700k, much needed. Was able to snag one on discount too!!

The Ryzen 9 7900X is a powerhouse CPU, delivering exceptional multi-threaded performance that’s ideal for heavy tasks like video editing and 3D rendering. With 12 cores and 24 threads, it’s more than capable of handling demanding applications and multitasking without a hitch. While it performs well in gaming, users focused primarily on gaming might find similar FPS from cheaper alternatives, as the extra cores are geared more toward productivity. However, it does require a quality cooling solution due to its tendency to run hot under load, and with its AM5 platform’s exclusive support for DDR5, an upgrade may require some investment in additional hardware.
