Super powerful CPU, no complaints whatsoever, i paired it with an Asus Strix X670e-f and its just amazing, no regrets! Hoping better motherboards come out soon to fully unlock the total power of this CPU.

Game Bundle Redemption Promo process needs fixing

This was my first time purchasing a top of the line CPU for general productivity work and gaming after reading and watching initial benchmark reviews. Unfortunately I should have waited as later tests showed this CPU gets smoked by the 7800x3d in gaming and some intel CPUs in productivity. To add insult to injury, I wasn't even able to obtain my game bundle redemption for Jedi Survivor. When I set up the account at AMD rewards, I received a message stating that the redemption code was already in use even though I had never registered an account there before or downloaded / installed the game. I followed up with AMD rewards support who informed me that they couldn't tell me who had registered the account that used the code and that there was nothing to do. I then followed up with bestbuy support and received the same treatment. I've included the conversations as attachments to demonstrate the process involved. After doing a google search on this issue, there are many reported users going through similar issues with code redemption. My recommendation is to avoid buying these game bundled products, because you may not get what was promised at purchase.

    Monstrous CPU power

This chip is stupid fast! I needed a high core count CPU for work and this one fits that bill excellently. It supports all the latest I/O technologies so I should be able to use it for a while. It easily hits 5.7 and regularly sits at 5.3 under full load. I'm running it using a DeepCool LT720 LCS and it easily handles the thermals. I also game with it on occassion with my 7900XTX and have noticed zero performance issues. 4K120Hz is doable with max settings in just about every game I play. I should add that I got it for $150 off MSRP. At list price, I'd recommend the 7950X3D instead.

Jumped on it after the price dropped. I needed a CPU to keep up with my 4090 and this definitely does. It really is overkill for gaming, but there are other things I want to do with my system. I thought I might wait and get a 79503d when they release, but there is always another chip around the corner

This is my third AMD CPU I have used since my initial build in 1998. Still waiting for an operating system that can take better advantage of the features of this CPU, but the number of cores and threads makes multiuser / multitasking much better than previous CPUs. Performance and graphics are simply great.

Runs hot at stock speeds with a 280mm AIO, but with a bit of undervolting it's 20 degrees (C) cooler on average. I didn't expect a huge difference upgrading from an Intel Core i7 10700, but I get 20 or 30 more FPS on average on CoD Modern Warfare 2 (2022). That's with the same 4080.This thing is pretty great.

Despite processors like the 13900K and 7950x3D stealing the thunder, the 7950x is still an extremely capable and powerful chip. Although it's not rated for the same power efficiency as the 3D variant, the 7950x still draws a relatively very low amount of wattage in real life use, usually around 100W average in games and up to 170W when fully utilized. Personally I have never seen this CPU use more than this so I'm unsure where the 220W rating comes from. This CPU fills a very unique niche for the type of buyer who wants like-best performance while spending the least on their parts while having a fully upgradeable platform for future components to come.

AMD does not disappoint with this one. The 7950x stops for nothing and beyond my own system cooling that i have, it runs rather cool.

Runs a little hot and draws around 200 watts under load but it's ridiculously fast, as a content creator that needs a lot of cores, this was certainly worth the upgrade.

It's a great processor. Thermals are fine with off the shelf coolers and the software is nice as well. I have zero regrets about picking this CPU and likely won't. I put the 7950X in my PC at work, and the 7950X3D in the one I use at home. Both are paired with 7900XTX video cards. I personally prefer the 7950X over the X3D. With something like this, you'll be able to play Crysis on medium settings.

Slapped this bad boi in my 4090 build inside of the Gigabyte Aorus X670 Master. It does run hot and WILL make your CPU cooler sound like a fan boat, but just set a good fan curve and undervolt it using the ryzen master curve optimizer and you’re all good. Don’t lose performance, sometimes it’s better, and thermals go down. Masterfully crafted processor.

Vastly superior performance to both the 7950X3D and the 7900X3D, which are poor products that park half the cores, disabling half the performance without tuning and tweaking. 7950X is tuning friendly, super power efficient and gaming performance is excellent. Dont however, expect anything from the 7950X even remotely compared to the AMD 7800X3D and Intel 14900K in both stability and performance overall. Bottom line, go for an 7800X3D or 14900K, but the 7950X is a good backup plan if neither are available.

I recently switched to this from an Intel i9 processor and this thing is an absolute powerhouse. What can I say It's one of the strongest processors on the market installation is easy even for a beginner Just take your time watch a video read the instructions and be very very careful with it.
