Was building my first ever PC from scratch and was getting all the components I needed 1 by 1. Was down to my most expensive parts Motherboard, CPU, GPU, and SSD storage...Came across this CPU bundled with the X870E Arous Pro. CPU also could have had a little discount also $700 pretty steep even though it's an amazing CPU, but the board was $210 at the time, but built my PC over the weekend after picking it up and been solid since then.

Extremely hard to get your hands on this beast of a CPU. Worth every penny!!! Make sure you’ve accounted for the higher temps on this thing though!

Cant really get better than this little beast. It handles any workload with ease. For gaming its really good, only hitting 70C when paired with a 360mm aio. Constatly hitting 5.4ghz and when paired with fast RAM its pretty much unbeatable in any scenario. Not much reason to get Intel anymore.

Full disclosure, I went from an older PC and Laptop to a new higher end build. But I am completely impressed. I do hobbyist video and audio work and I went from hours rendering time to minutes, single digit minutes. I realize the GPU had a lot to do with that, but this processor runs cool in my set up, and is blazing fast. It came packaged well and just performs. No issues whatsoever!

I could not be happier with the 9950X3D. I have it paired to an ASUS X870-E board, with 64g of ram, with a 5080 GPU. It is fast, and very responsive, and the graphics are smooth. I recommend this CPU to anybody looking for a quality CPU, it’s a bit more expensive, but absolutely worth the price!

Fantastic CPU for gaming and with the extra cores vs the 9800x3d with very little if any difference in performance when gaming

I'm absolutely blown away by the AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D. This processor is a beast! From gaming to multitasking, everything runs incredibly fast and smooth. The 3D V-Cache really makes a difference—especially in demanding titles like Escape from Tarkov and other CPU-heavy games. My FPS has never been more stable. Temperatures stay impressively low even under load, and paired with a good cooler, it's whisper quiet. Whether you're gaming, streaming, or editing, this chip handles it all without breaking a sweat. If you're looking for top-tier performance with the latest tech, the 9950X3D is worth every penny. AMD knocked it out of the park with this one. Highly recommended!

Just built a new PC with the AMD 9950X3D and so far it's been a very large improvement over my previous Intel i9 10900k. I have it paired with a RTX 5070 Ti and my fps in Oblivion Remastered is now over 3x the fps I used to get and I am running it on Ultra graphics preset and Ultra ray tracing. I will say that this CPU runs much hotter just idling than my previous i9 10900k did but the higher running wattage is probably a main reason for that. I am also using an air cooler vs a liquid cooler so that's probably another factor. All in all this is a CPU that I would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to build a new high end PC.

The AMD Ryzen 9 offers excellent performance with it's 16 cores and high boost speeds, making it a strong choice for both gaming and productivity. I am cooling it with a Noctua NH-D15 air cooler, and it handles thermals well - idle temps sit at around 46-49°C, and under load, it typically stays between 75-78°C. For a high-end chip in air cooling, id say thats reasonable. Overall, it's a powerful and efficient setup that runs cool and quiet without the need of an AIO.

So far so good! This cpu is performing as expected! for the most part I have this cooled with a 280mm AIO and it runs pretty well. When running this chip against my older intel 12900k it shows a notiable improvment! Personally speaking I don't think the 3d mark test warrents a need to upgrade... but I needed the 12900k to perform a newer duty.

This CPU is just incredible. Coming from years of Intel, I'm genuinely blown away by how much this processor can do, how fast it does it and how cool and power efficient it relatively still remains. For gaming, it's hands down incredible. And for productivity, there's no compromises either. A bit pricey, but well worth the price of admission! Easy to recommend

Top-of-the-line CPU with incredible performance. The 9950X3D handles everything I throw at it — from gaming at ultra settings to multitasking with heavy software. Temps stay reasonable, and paired with a good cooler, it’s a beast. The 3D V-Cache definitely gives it an edge in gaming, and productivity tasks fly. Definitely worth it if you’re building a high-end rig and want serious power and future-proofing.

Amazing CPU! Very expensive but I wanted the best CPU to pair up with my RTX 5090 and I have no regrets spending on this cpu. This is my first AMD chip in a very long time and I will be sticking with AMD until this socket is no longer supported. Awesome performance in games and it runs cooler than I expected. I am seeing max temps around 66 C in long gaming sessions and 75 C max in Cinebench R24 running on loop.

Haven't had a chance to fully tune to see what this chip is capable of yet. I am coming from an 14900KS (stupid purchase, had no idea how hard it would be to actually be able to just use it unless you have a custom loop). So far performance straight out of the box has been very, very good. I've had no issues with scheduling so far. I need to use a large memory kit for 3D modeling and video encoding, and so far it has handled a 96GB kit from Corsair at 6400mhz without problems (although I haven't had a chance to properly tune and test the memory yet, I'm just impressed that everything out of the box has worked). Gaming performance is as advertised. In terms of value, this is fully subjective. The chip is indeed extremely expensive, but I feel this iteration is finally in a place where you don't make any sacrifices in either gaming or productivity. The 7950x3D is also functioning far better than it was 2 years ago with its scheduling issues, but those have also come up a lot in price ($700+ on Amazon). If you need the 16 cores and are set on one of these 2 chips, I would wait until you can grab the 9950X3D at retail. Hopefully stock will be better in a few months.
