I have always been an AMD fan even thopugh I have had one or two laptops that had Intel cpus in the combindwith an AMD chip but as for either building a PC or buying a prebuilt one I choose the ADM CPU over Intell anyday of the week. To be a first time user of a 3D CPU I'm very impressed with it on the speed of booting up on down to the fact of the set up in the bios of the motherboard I have it on. I bought this one to upgrade from the AMD Ryzen 9 7950x which was bough back in 2022 don't get me wrong the 7950x is a great CPU and still does what I bought it for and can be used, I bought the 9950X 3d duue to wanting to stream when I'm gaming but found out the speen and the quality of the video it gives out when combind with the video card I bought to go with it I will be useing the PC it's in for gaming more than streaming. The pros ar the ease of installing on the motherboard which is so easy now the AMD came out with no pins on the CPU's (no bent pins), also the fact of being from a company that I have used fro overr ten yeasr now. The con that I have with it is the price but hey that's my fault due to not wanting to wait for the price to come down. This is absolutely a get it if you can afford it

I used Intel for almost thirty years or more since the 386 and DX100 era, I decided to try AMD and was surprised by the quality and performance. I was using the i9 14900K and switched to the Ryzen 9 9950X3D, I'm impressed with the performance, speed, not to mention that it runs much smoother and heats up much less. Congratulations to AMD for this processor. I'm now an AMD customer.

Chose this CPU for my first PC build, and it is great. I was worried that it would have high temperatures whenever I’m playing games, but when stress tested it never went over 80°C, and at idle it is staying between 45-50°C so I am happy.

PSA 2 producers - not compatible w Universal Audio

So far, this CPU has been close-to-excellent. Performance has been outstanding across both music production and gaming. The only real downside I’ve encountered is compatibility with my UAD (Universal Audio) audio interface. At the moment, I haven’t been able to get it working with this CPU. I’m aware there may be workarounds, but none have been successful so far. Hopefully this isn’t a sign of broader hardware or software compatibility issues down the line. Outside of that, everything has been extremely fast and responsive. I’m running this CPU with a high-quality AIO cooler, plenty of airflow, 64GB of DDR5 6000MHz RAM, and a high-speed SSD (up to ~14,000 MB/s). Opening applications, transferring files, and general system responsiveness are all incredibly quick. For music production, the results have been impressive. I regularly work in Ableton Live with large projects containing 40–60 audio tracks, 10–30 MIDI tracks, and heavy VSTs on the master bus. Complete projects load in about 4–5 seconds, and CPU usage typically stays in the 10–25% range. By comparison, the same projects on my M1 Pro Mac were using around 67–89% CPU and would occasionally glitch during playback. On this system, everything runs smoothly and navigating projects feels effortless. Gaming performance has also been seamless overall. I did experience a few instances where a game closed unexpectedly, but it’s unclear whether that was related to the CPU, another component, or the game/launcher itself (Steam or Call of Duty). If Universal Audio updates their drivers or software to fully support this platform, this would easily be a 5-star CPU. Not being able to use a $2,000 audio interface is frustrating, and I’d prefer not to replace it at that level. For now, I’m using a Scarlett interface, and if I need to track vocals, I’ll continue doing so on my Mac. Overall, aside from the UAD compatibility issue, this CPU has been outstanding in performance and stability.

If you work and game on the same PC, this processor was made for you. I was able to overclock it pretty easily to 5.9GHz with some undervolting using a manual curve. With the overlock, this processor is 20% faster than a 7950X. I think AMD saved their binned chiplets for this processor because this thing is a beast and undervolts like a dream. In medium weight workloads, the processor has no problem pulling 5.4GHz on all cores for hours on end. In light workloads, the processor boosts to 5.9GHz, single cores. Gaming requires Game Bar (built into windows) to be running in the background for it to pick the 3D V-Cache CCD for the game, but even if that doesn't happen for some reason, you're not going to be hurting for performance. Essentially, when the 3D V-Cache kicks in, it's amazing, but when it doesn't for whatever reason, it's still a 9950X running at 5.9GHz, you're not exactly missing out.

    Dominates Gaming and Creation

Installing this highend CPU felt pretty simple for something so expensive?! But after the installation and booting I will say it dominantes a lot in the gaming and creation feild! The huge cache ensures smooth, consistent high frame rates at around 90 to 120Hz locked and pretty low stutters in sims and social VR games like VRChat, outperforming prior-gen X3D by 20%+ in frame times. Perfect for wireless Quest Link or indexed setups without reprojection! I highly recommend this CPU because its also great for future proofing!

Coming from 5900x to this has been a beast of a performance. I wish it wasn't as expensive though but for performance it is delivering, I wonder why it is on the top. Highly recommend if you can afford it.

Top rated CPU in 2025, if you are planning to build a cyber comp, this CPU will be the BEST option before 2026, and the only thing can beat 9950 X3D is the next version of itself (in the near future). The best of the BESTS, and the cost-effectiveness compared to intels is absolutely INSANE.

I have had many CPUs but AMD has far proven the leader in gaming CPUs and the X3D series is untouchable! There has not been a workload thats even given this CPU the slightest struggle! Well worth it!

The cpu that saved my career in editing the 9 9950x3d. At first I wasn’t going to buy it cause I thought it was a bit much but decided to go with it along with my x870e motherboard and I have to say it’s a match made in heaven. Ryzen done it again

Was building my first ever PC from scratch and was getting all the components I needed 1 by 1. Was down to my most expensive parts Motherboard, CPU, GPU, and SSD storage...Came across this CPU bundled with the X870E Arous Pro. CPU also could have had a little discount also $700 pretty steep even though it's an amazing CPU, but the board was $210 at the time, but built my PC over the weekend after picking it up and been solid since then.
