The American Audio headphones don't offer a lot of flash and pop, and the design is kind of clunky and awkward, but these are a solid headphone for a home recording studio. Good sound quality and a great price!

Great overall for the money, quality construction, long cord. I had to trim back the rubber housing around the plug to make a secure fit for my cell phone and tablet. It was easy enough but I shouldn't have had to do that.

My main use for these headphones was primarily to be used for my laptop. They are excellent at audio playback. These are studio DJ headphones, but I purchased them due to the wide audio range from low 5hz to high 30khz. The bass production in the headphones is like nothing I have ever experienced in a set of headphones before. The bass quality is crisp and exact unlike cheap headphones pushing titles of bass boosting technology. And at 64 ohms of impedance they are not made for low output devices. However, the volume and sound is still better on my cellphone music player than any other portable headphone I've used on them. The included adapters make use on a home theater system available and 6' cord which is partially coiled makes it practical to use over 6' from your system giving you the full effect of your stereo without disturbing others.

Very nice pair of cans. Sound better than Beats Solo HD. They do not leak that much. The bass is great. They do not distort. There is one major flaw...your head has to be long from the ears up. The headband does not rest on top of your head, making your ears the default anchor. My ears folded down. You gotta be sad so you can have a long face to wear these.
