This film is just as important today, as it was in the 199s when it was first released. It is gritty and hard to watch. However, it does expire the cancer that hate is, and how it can be spread so easily.

I have watched the DVD of this movie before. The movie quality on the blu-ray is so much better on my HDTV. The packaging is not bad, but there is room for improvement because this is not a collector edition. Highly recommend. Great story.

Excellent movie that not only portrays the ongoing racial tensions and issues in America but in my opinion shows the true issue of a "both side" issue. This is not a White problem, and it the race card and concerns are consistently brought up by people that behave as inappropriate and racial as those they are making claims against.

This movie challenged race at a time when it might not have been so comfortable to do so. You must have an open mind to be able to appreciate the challenges this movie makes. Watch it and you'll see that anyone can change. It is a little gory at times though.

Edward Norton is awesome! Norton plays a leader of a group that fuels hatred towards other ethnicities. He has to go to prison in order to open his eyes. He is released from prison only to find his younger brother is following his foot steps. Great movie!

A great performance by Edward Norton in this film. American History X is a superbly written and directed story that is as relevant today as when it was originally released. Thanks BB for the great deal on this addition to my collection.

It doesn't matter how you feel about race or religion which makes this one of the greatest movies ever. It might make you cringe for the things involving race but it might also make you see things in a new a different perspective.

A hard movie to watch, but a very important movie to watch in my opinion. The condition of the case and the disc were also fantastic.

So they don't make movies like this anymore. Although this movie is old it still reflects society today. Kids need to watch and learn. Get it, one of the few movies I'm proud to own.

love this movie it show how hate really gets started and how a good person can become so ugly by the hate they become surrounded by.

Great story about your typical brainwashed kid, that changed his beliefs after a taste of the real world. No matter who you are now, your past can always haunt you.

This selection, American History X, is a tale about racial tensions and white supremacy. It's an excellent choice for the first time buyer...

Good movie fast delivery was happy to find for a great price

I had this movie on DVD but somehow, lost it. Saw it at Best Buy on Bluray and jumped at it. Love the setting and the way the movie is told. For $6, it was a solid deal.

Shocking movie, a reality of racism, great acting all around. Amazing transformation by EDWARD NORTON.

Great movie but I struggle through it each time with how uncomfortable it is. Wonderful piece of art that should be seen by everyone at least once.

Ed Norton is absolutely amazing in this movie and the character transformation he goes through is well depicted. The issues at hand make you angry but the story is well told.
