Perfect story, characters, settings, and aesthetics that will please fans of psychological horror or even just thrillers. Each episode had me on the edge of my seat, which is rare for me. The Blu-ray release comes with extra goodies that reveal an inside look into how the show is made.

This is a great series. Clever writing, great acting, top notch directing and production. I also like the recurring cast idea - that was a stroke of genius. I own all seasons and really like in total and think it is a must have for the video library!

This is definitely one of the best seasons of AHS. There are a lot of twists, but not too many storylines to keep track. The ending is one of the best conclusions of a season yet.

Love love love love love love love love love love love love

This season of AHS was a big shocker to me. I expected horror and I received such intense characters and an overall unexpected evil that came from these actors; they have such a beautiful talent. If you don't already know, these season are NOT connected. They create and whole NEW storyline but they use the same actors. Every actor in this show is so gifted in the way they can morph into a new character and perform their role so effortlessly. I enjoyed the plot twists and the "back story" scenes that they injected to help us understand each characters presence and necessity to the plot.

One thing I really like about the American Horror Story franchise is that every season is a different story that has nothing to do with the season(s) prior. I like this because you don't need to watch the seasons in order. The series utilizes many of the same great actors in each season, but they play different characters. You will definitely enjoy this season (Asylum) if you are a horror/mystery/thriller/suspense fan as FX does a great job at pushing the boudaries of what can be showed on TV. Very good show, I definitely recommend it.

American Horror Story, Season 1 was awesome. American Horror Story: Asylum, (season 2) was amazing! This series truly gives suspense in each episode. It is one of the series one doesn't want to stop watching. Questions pop up as others are answered. It really shows how scary it can be to be trapped with no escape. I definitely recommend watching the first season of AHS before watching AHS: Asylum, but they are both great series on their own as well. I cannot wait to watch American Horror Story: Coven.

Once I started watching this show, I couldn't stop. As an older person, I couldn't find any movies that had the 'shock' or 'scare' effect any more. However, American Horror Story changed all that! Even the opening music coupled with the way images are flashed across the screen, make my skin crawl. It's the best scary movie I've seen in 20 + years. If you like to be scared, and are looking for something out of the box, then THIS is the show for you!

This is one of my favorite shows! Once again the American Horror Story series did not fail. the beginning was incredible, however I feel like the series ended kind of abruptly with a few questions left lingering. It was very creepy and has moments that make your skin crawl. It is definitely everything that you would suspect with the word asylum in the name. We are looking forward to watching and purchasing future series of American Horror Story!

A chilling followup to season 1. I could have done without the modern day parts (though Adam Levine in any form is yummy), but great writing and historically accurate in attitudes and practices in asylums. An amazing ensemble cast who take the suspense/horror genre to a new level. Low-gore scary sticks with you longer than slasher films. Definitely will get you hooked on the series.

Watched a couple episodes of the newest AHS the one with woman gaga... Had to revisit the spooky ones. This season has plot and character, a mystic aura that captivates you! Unlike the cheap gorefest and adult rated shock screams tossed at the viewers face, with the latest season. Give me build up and suspense and a wild ride like modern horror should be? Than I would recommend this to you!

Why do the kids watch these things? I can't sit through them, the are too scary and creepy and eerie. This coming from a guy who watched Twin Peaks in rapt attention. And yes, I am old enough to have watched the Night Stalker and Twilight Zone and Outer Limits. I must be getting old, or things are just getting a little more graphic. But the kids like them, so we give a good rating.

When this show was on tv I never missed an episode. Forever I wanted to buy it but it was always too high priced (ranging around $30+ or so). So when I looked at the add for Best Buy and saw that it was only $15 I immediately went online to purchace it. And when I got to the checkout it was only $12.50 plus tax so I was able to get Asylum & the first season. It was awesome!

American Horror Story: Asylum is the most terrifying season of the AHS franchise! This season gets into your skin since it contains many moments that cause claustrophobia, terror and deceit. While entering the Asylum stay prepared because anything goes! In addition, performances by Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson and Lily Rabe are set to keep you on your toes.

The acting is top notch - especially Jessica Lange and it's such a great idea for a show, you can't not love it if you're a horror fan. However, there is unfulfilled potential here. It could have really been amazing. Almost feels like a different writer took over close to the end. They didn't explain several important things and it felt like the writers gave up. I also really hated that Name Game episode. That was the stupidest thing I've seen in a long time. I was embarrassed for the actors. Nevertheless, it still shines in a sea of senseless muck. Definitely worth watching.

I have watched all three seasons of American Horror Story. I liked this season the best. If you like scary and shocking story telling, this is for you. The acting is fantastic. Really well done all around. Horror/science fiction at its best. I also enjoyed the DVD extras, which gave a very interesting perspective from the actors and writers.

The price was awesome at Best Buy. Even though you can see some of this on cable, having the luxury of owning it is the reason I bought this. You can't beat this series for keeping you on the edge of your seat in every episode. Watching something from a quality DVD is always better than an on-line version.

This is still one of the best seasons of this show. Definitely spooky even though it goes off the rails in certain episodes (musical numbers, aliens, etc.) I love coming back to it and finding new things or after watching newer seasons and connecting them all. Greatest cast ever.

My wife & I got sucked in right away one night when we were skimming through Netflix and decided to check it out. We ended up pulling a 2-night AHS marathon with season 1 and just rolled through season 2 in just a few short days after that. Jessica Lange is, by far, at her best in these stories. Instant classic.

I've been hooked on AHS. This season honestly take a little time for the plot to develop but, it is worth the wait! American Horror Story is a gem of a series where every season has a unique storyline. You get film quality episodes with the bonus historical truth.
