My 13 year old daughter has become obsessed with Green Day.

The first original album since 2000 from modern rock superheroes Green Day, American Idiot is one of the most anticipated and controversial albums of the year. Amazing! There is not one bad song on this album. Pop punk at its peak! Can’t get much better than this in the world of pop punk! These guys have perfected their style and it shows!! Not only pop punk fans but fans of all music will enjoy this. Best rock album I have heard in quite some time! Can’t believe I didn’t give a chance back when it was released almost 15 years ago! Highly recommended!!

After a couple of dismal decades of music ( I was not into Flock of Seagulls, Airsupply, Madonna or the like), I heard a few songs from this CD. I was reinvigorated into listening to more music. I introduced my kids to American Idiot and lost a few of this very same CD in their rooms. So if you ever see a little old lady singing in her car, it may be me listening to this CD.

Boulevard of Broken Dreams This track, one of my favorites on the album, sees Jesus of Suburbia, after the novelty of the City wears off, being abandoned by his followers and lamenting about being alone. He says, My shadow's the only one that walks beside me, my shallow heart's the only thing that's beating. Green Day's frontman Billie Joe Armstrong has said, "If Holiday is the party, then this song is the resulting hangover." (Fun fact: the song's music video won the 2005 VMA for Video of the Year.) Wake Me Up When September Ends

American Idiot is an excellent punk rock opera. The songs flow seamlessly from one to the next. The songs "American Idiot", "Holiday", "Boulevard of Broken Dreams", and "Wake Me Up When September Ends " are the highlights of this song cycle. Buy this music, you will not regret it. The price is nice also.

It is a great and well work album. My wife (no ask, no question) she loves GD and even loves more this album. She likes almost every song of this cd. I like GD. the older the albums, the better, BUT! i have to agree that this is a well work/well done album. There is even a musical about American Idiot. Like a said, this is a great work in every aspect. Buy it, if you are a fan of GD just buy, if not enjoy this pop punk musical/album. you ill like , even with time like i did.

I found this on sale & was excited to add it t to my collection. This is one of my favorite albums from one of my favorite bands. I would recommend it to anyone who is a fan of Green Day's older stuff and a fan of rock/alternative/punk music in general. Thanks Best Buy!!

...just depends on what that means to you. Certainly, not a born-again Clash, but certainly decent and listenable.

Great album! I only got to listen to it once because the second time I put it in my stereo it got stuck and scratched it pretty badly. Luckily it was only $5.

Although Best Buy has discontinued its music section, I was happy to find a bin full of my favorite CDs at discount prices. Please bring back your music section.

I'm not really a Green Day fan, punk rock in general...bought this cd for my teenage stepson and we listened on our way back home and memories came to my head about the songs, not a bad album at all and I will say that Green Day is one of the best bands in the rock punk scene. I won't recommend it at least you're a modern punk rock fan.

Owned the album in high school, lost it, found it again, lost it again. Then I found it again at Best Buy and bought it. 5 star album and a huge success that Green Day hasn't been able to achieve again since.

American Idiot is one of the best modern rock albums with so many number 1 songs on this album alone. Jesus of Suburbia is my favorite song in this album and is one of my top ten Green Day songs.

I decided after liking so many Green Day songs on the radio that I should have this CD. Good price. I like that Best Buy continues to have nice selection of Cd's with so many stores no longer carrying them.

Green Day...nuff said!! An excellent, high energy album for the rocker inside of you. BUY IT!!

I forgot I own this CD and bought a second copy because I got so excited when I saw how cheap it was. Me forgetting I owned it and the price does not reflect the greatness of this CD!

What can I say that hasn't already been said about this great album? CD was in perfect condition and still plays today.

I initially bought this CD when I was 16, and I recently had to purchase it again because my other copy got lost...I can honestly listen To this entire CD on repeat all day!!
