Combined on one Disc are 3 American Legends from the past with Johnny Appleseed who planted love and apple trees all over the country; Paul Bunyon and Babe, a giant woodsman and his ox who according to legend created Puget Sound in Washington State and cleared the land for farming in North and South Dakota; and Casey Jones the brave train engineer who dedicated his life to seeing the mail was delivered across the country. The narration is done by famous stars and this animated set of stories is beautifully done as only Walt Disney can produce it.

This is a must for Disney collector. It has on it the rarely seen Disney animation short “John Henry “. A great cartoon!

I use this DVD to teach my first graders about Johnny Appleseed. I love all of the stories.

Quality entertainment for the grand kids (ages 2-10)

This is a classic! A good way for kids to learn and be entertained.

We were excited to find this movie collection at Best Buy. Our kids love these old Disney shows, and have tried to watch them online, but the quality online wasn't great. This DVD is a great buy ... It was a great price, and our kids can watch it anytime they want.

I remember watching these when I was a kid. This features 4 stories of American Legends/Tall Tales with a brief story on each one -like Johnny Appleseed and Paul Bunyan. My 7 and 4 year old enjoyed watching these as well and learned a few things. Oh, nostalgia.

I had only see these on tv when they used to play on the Disney channel. Very cute and helps a little with some of the American folklore for the kids. My two young boys had never heard of these classic stories so it was fun to introduce!

This is a copulation of four cartoons that were originally shown individually. The songs are fun and this is a great way to introduce these real life people to smaller children.

Picked this up at my local best buy for five dollars. Good stories simple presentation great for the kids and parents. Great bargain really!(Cheaper than DMC & walmart)
