Christian Bale is a character. This movie has symbolism , sarcasm, and reality involved. I’m from LA city of Angels. I have friends and family that are actors like Tyrese Gibson and Marquise Wilson. So Hollywood was one of my stomping grounds and watching movies a way to relieve stress and let my mind relax!

Love this movie! Bale knocks it out of the park! Great dialogue along with lovely brutality. Highly recommended!

So of course the movie was and is an instant classic, a flawless horror comedy social satire of the 1980s, and the superficial nature of the US in general. We all know that. The 4K version is spectacular, the video is gorgeous, easily the best the movie has ever looked, the Dolby Atmos soundtrack is mostly in play for the iconic music throughout the movie, and is rich and full as you would expect. It's perfection. The surprisingly decently priced steelbook is the real shocker here. The screenshots are quite accurate, you get a plastic slipcover of Patrick removing his mask, lift it up and you get his full yuppie visage, with a few specks of blood slightly visible. The artwork is gorgeous. Absolutely gorgeous. Steelbooks aren't what they used to be, mostly just a poor collage or stock image in steelbook form. This one is like a painting. Well worth the money. Grab it while you can.

Let’s see Paul Allen’s Steelbook. One of my favorite movies of all time

This is in my top75 all-time greats. Not for everyone, though due to extremely violent storyline. It has a similar view down the path of someone getting crazier and crazier (a la Taxi Driver, but this isnt of the calibre of that film which is probably in my top 10.)

Christian Bale carries this movie. It is riveting. Sometimes difficult to watch. Stay with it. You will not forget this movie. It is a wonderful example of theater craft; both from the acting, writing, and delivery. As I say, some scenes can be offensive...don't judge this movie by those scenes. Mr. Bale is just an awesome actor and has shown us that since "Empire of the Sun, " when he was 12 years old! Enjoy!

Christian Bale is phenomenal in this and when you understand that it is most satirical commentary and not a straight forward gorefest, you can see it in a lighter tone. It is graphic and by no means an easy view, but it is very clever and funny.

This movie still holds up after all this time and Christian Bale's performance is top notch

This is a great version of this movie, the sound seems to have improved quite a bit over the Blu-ray version. Black levels are pretty good for most of the film although at some points it goes slightly grey. For reference I’m using an LG oled display.

It was a gift. He loved it ! Now we have to find time to watch it again.
