The batteries that came in it worked for about 6 months, after that about every 4 to 5 months I've had to install new batteries. Every now and then I would hear a crack come from the scale when I stepped on it, I am 6'4" and currently weigh 220lbs, when I heard the first crack I weighed about 260lbs, the scale now has 5 cracks, three across the front - one on each side of the display, one about the middle and one close to the bottom, there is one across the back. The scale may weigh up to 330lbs but it seems the bamboo can't handle anything close to that weight. The display is nice and bright, but when the batteries get low the display isn't as bright and the weight is inaccurate but that is expected for a battery operated device. I would suggest this scale to be used by someone who weighs no more than 200lbs.

I’d been shoopping around for scales for a while. I didn’t want anything fancy, but I also didn’t want a scale that looked cheap. This scale is perfect. Weight is accurate, I went to the doctor and it weighs the same as the scale at the doctors office. The backlight is an added bonus!

I bought this scale because of it’s unique appearance. I like that it’s more contemporary looking a lot. As far as the quality, it works! No frills scale. The screen is backlit, which is a really nice feature.

Great Scale it has 3 mode weight pounds,kilograms and stone pounds. Also is a beautiful design that blend in any room and its does look like scale

Scales looks great in our restroom. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that occasionally you have to step on the scale more than once to activate it (turn it on). Other than that it's a great bargain.
