This television series is one of my favorites. Set in the Cold War, this series looks at what deep cover Soviet spies who are pretending to be an American family have to go through in order to operate and live in America and yet stay true to their Soviet ideology. Especially compelling is the conflict the spy parents have with their oldest US born child, who is essentially just an all American kid who discovers that her parents are anything but all American.

Love the series, watched it on TV and just had to add it to my collection. Series is about a couple from Russia that didn't know each other at the beginning but are now pretending to be an American family with 2 kids. Series continues with various missions that at times including killing people or having relations with them to get information to pass on to the Russians. They do what they need to but are struggling as the show continues.

This series has been one of my favorites each season since it began. The writing is top notch. The cars, costumes, hair styles and clothing are historically accurate. There are interesting little details which add to the authentic feel like the introduction of digital encrypted radios in the cars of the FBI agents in season 3 that becomes a plot point for the main characters during a mission.

I am a huge fan of The Americans. It is a great tv show with amazing characters and plots. Homeland has been my favorite spy and espionage tv show, but The Americans has surpassed it because of this amazing third season. Everything starts coming together and it is incredible to see. Acting and directing is still top notch. Highly recommended.

The story of two Soviet spies living in the US during (roughly) the Reagan administration. Not highly believable for the most part, but highly entertaining. You are kept on the edge of your seat wondering what crazy thing will happen next. The main actors are excellent. Other actors will have you hoping they get strangled.

The continuation of this incredible series goes by so quickly you will be wondering why you had to wait so long for it to come out only to finish all episodes in a weekend. Extras are nice, but they are just extras. A great story for anyone who likes spies, history, or deception. When does season 4 drop?

Season 3 continues this exciting & original look at Russian spies living & working in 20th century America. I didn't think this series would work but I was wrong. Each season is better than the previous season. Great cast & great screenplay for each episode. Not a dull moment.

I have been following The Amercians since the beginning and it just keeps getting better and better. Unfortunately I missed a lot of Season 3 so it was great to watch it on DVDs. The quality of writing and production values are first class. This is a must buy.

The Americans is rare, in that it started strong, but has improved each year...hasn't fallen off in the least. Season 3 is brilliant, brilliant stuff, and this set is well worth your time and your purchase price.

Now it's getting very interesting. I dont know what I would do as a parent but she is getting out of hand. Dont know what Im talking about? Watch it from Season 1. Binge watch is a must, call in sick if you have to.

If you possibly can, begin with season one and follow through with all the other years. The progress is dramatic and historically accurate and will hold your interest. Truly amazing.

This show is one of the best on television right now and the third season is the best by far. Highly recommend checking out the Americans if you want to be thoroughly entertained.

This isn't for family night but for you love suspense, great drama, and a storyline that doesn't drag, this is for you....plus you can rewatch and catch stuff you misses before...

Third installment of the Americans was great but really hinged a lot on Paige. Overall though intense and I love how the timelines collide with international events of the 80's.

Love the characters and their personal and professional struggles that are constantly at odds. Great writing, projects a good feel of the 1980's and the Cold War Governments.

The Americans is a Very Good series dealing with the Cold War and domestic espionage. It is well written and acted, except, at times in my opinion, just a bit over the top. While not on the level of John Le Carre (Tinker,Tailor,Soldier,Spy) (A Spy who came in from the Cold), this is nonetheless top notch Spy-Thriller-Espionage Cold War - Fare.

Best show on TV. Too bad there is no investment in Blu Ray and have to settle with DVD. Much lesser shows get the BD treatment. I don't understand FX.

I binge on the Americans and watch 2-3 episodes at a time. The story is compelling and maintains interest from episode to episode. Watch it!

I love this show "The Americans. I enjoy the concept as well as the timeline of the early 80's. I buy the series to watch in my later years to come.

A great series if you like spy thrillers. Haven't been disappointed in any of the episodes.
