THIS MOVIE IS SPECIAL BECAUSE MY KIDS WERE RAISED WATCHING THIS MOVIE AND HAVE THE ACTUAL CHARACTER DOLL SINCE THEY WERE LITTLE. IT WAS PURCHASED BY THEIR GRANDMOTHER WHO HAS PASSED AWAY AND THIS MOVIE/STUFF DOLL MEAN ALOT TO THEM. I WAS HAPPY TO HAVE FOUND THEM AT BEST BUY AND PURCHASED TWO COPIES.

It's a movie about a mouse off to find the elusive American Dream. What's not to like? Brought back a load of memories, and made me realize cartoons were much harsher growing up - now I feel old... Ah well. Great story, recommended. Just watch it first before showing it to your younger kids.

Movie to watch over and over again. Grows with your kids. Perfect story, especially when (like us) you came to USA to experience freedom, escaping the nasty socialism imposed on Poland. Being Jewish...a cherry on top. Perfect.

For some reason this movie doesn't get the hype it deserves. It was one of my favorites as a kid. I am extremely excited to share this movie with my kids and hoping they get as much enjoyment out of it as I did.

My daughter loves this movie and it reminds me of my own childhood. So many weird cartoons out these days that it is nice to sit with her and watch something we both enjoy that has a nice family feel.

This is one of the best movies ever made, come on mice and cats trying to coexist! Great price at best buy store as well would definitely recommend going there to purchase the film.

I loved watching the American Tail movies as a kid and I'm excited to share them with my daughter now. I wish the movies were on two separate disks instead of being a double sided DVD but otherwise this was a great purchase.

Both of these movies are great for the entire family. Both of my sons have already watched these movies multiple times. If you are looking for a good clean movie for the kids, this is it.

This was a favorite with my granddaughter; and we're hoping it will be a favorite of Her son as well. A good way of showing a small child part of the immigrant experience.

A classic kids "tail," from Don Bluth (The Secret of NIMH, The Land Before Time), and it's lesser sequel, in one packaged set. A great treat for parents like me who saw this as a child to share with their children.

My 4 year old daughter loved this movie. I enjoyed watching it with her because it brought back fond memories of watching it when I was her age.

This is a great family film. It has become a family favorite. It's entertaining for both young and old. I was very excited to find it on DVD.

We bought this set to give to our daughter on Christmas. Needless to say, my husband and I were more excited about it than she was!

Good childrens DVD. My kids are now teenagers and when we were in Best Buy, saw the dvd and had to have it to watch again. Timeless.

Even though the kids have already seen this at their friends house, they really love having it at home and being able to watch it over and over (and over and over!).

This is a classic movie I remember enjoying as a kid back in the '80s and my two year old now loved it as well.

It has singing,action,drama, and the story is based on Russian mice that speak English and their hard ships.

Loved this movie as a child and got it for my kids. They liked it but there are other more up-to-date, digitally enhanced moved they like better.

Great movie for a 3 year old just the right length of movie for him to sit through without getting board.

A great classic for my daughters collection! Two movies for the price of 1! Can't go wrong
