The series is 13 episodes long, with an Original Video Animation ( or bonus episode) at the end. (Total 14 episodes lasting 24 minutes each) Note: They have more episode after the Outro. Music behind this and its influence into the series is quite beautiful, and tells a story of its own, and definitely fills its role in this series. At first when I was looking for Angel Beats! I wasn't sure if it would be the English voice actors or if it would be in the original Japanese with subtitles... After buying it and watching it all the way through, you get the choice of which you prefer which was a definite plus. As far as the plot goes, its actually quite deep and worthy of being watched multiple times, if not to see if there are any plot holes (And there aren't, I've watched the series about 6 times) Essentially a bunch of people who lived their lives unfulfilled end up in this... Purgatory of sorts and have to fight or find their way out. Its got a lot of action, for those who like the shooter types. Its got plenty of humorous moments, and a few touching moments as well. I recommend this to pretty much anyone that would like any of those genres of a show. I'm waiting patiently for the second season to be released come April 2012, if my sources are correct.. but we'll see when it comes out in English.

This anime will make you cry out of happiness, sadness and for its side splitting comedy. Ive only seen the English dub so i have yet to see its true colours, but if your into science fiction and high school related action/drama, then ANGEL BEATS is something you should add to your collection!
