Amiibo Festival is probably not going to win any awards or thrill many "hardcore gamers", but it does have it's appeal. For a family this is a perfect game to play with kids or older players. If you look at it for what it is, a board game in the Animal Crossing world on your tv, then it starts to make sense. No, it's not going to be very exciting, but it is going to be relaxing and might even make you smile, believe me we need more of that in the world these days. Don't let the nay-sayers scare you away, if you want a fun, cute, quirky, relaxing game that lets you kick back and just enjoy a moment by yourself or with loved ones then consider this one next time you are shopping for games.

It's a board game. It's Animal Crossing characters being cute, happy, and disappointed while they make you laugh. The mini games that are very card reliant could be tiring but most are fun.

I bought this mostly because I am an avid Amiibo collector and also love animal crossing. This game can mostly be described as boring. It's not awful, but I feel like the age limit on actual enjoyment must be about 9. I enjoyed the childlike-innocence of it in the same type of way I love real animal crossing games, but it is so functionally limited in content that it feels like it should be one separate play mode on a much more content filled game.

This is a game that is barebones, lacking modes, and is one of the first games that REQUIRES amiibos and Animal Crossing cards.
However, saying all that I've had a blast playing this with people. It exudes positivity and is joyful to play even when losing. It has wonderful pacing for a party game and there is no clear winner until the very last turn.
If you have friends or an amiibo collector. I'd give this game a try.

More like a life than mario party, this is a board game set in the animal crossing universe and as long as you have people to play with you should have a really great time.

I really like Amiibo Festival, for what it is. It's unfortunate that we still do not have a real Animal Crossing game for the WiiU, and this game will not satisfy anyone looking for that experience.
If you have purchased the Animal Crossing amiibos, however, and want a decently entertaining board game to play in which you can use them, this is it. If you're a fan of Animal Crossing as a series, you may find the characters' dialogues quite entertaining. Just remember that it comes with two Amiibos, so expect a game about half of a normal full-price release.

Nice board party game that can be played individually or with friends. It's not pretty fun as Mario Party with the minigames since the main gameplay is a "Roll the Dice" and move freely in the board. It has some minigames that are pretty fun. Pros: some cool minigames and amiibo functionality. Cons: gets boring after some time and lack of content.

The game has a cute charm that will get Animal Crossing fans or people who like cute stuff hooked on the game. Be aware though that this is no Mario Party game. Another plus is that it comes with two exclusive amiibo and 3 amiibo cards for Animal Crossing. I would only recommend this game if you're a fan of cute stuff or a fan of Animal Crossing.

It's a mellow version of Mario Party. There aren't any mini games, really, but I don't scream curses at my friends when I play it.

If you get this game under $15, I would say it's worth the gameplay. But anything more than that, not so much.

The game is fun, however it's not what I expected. If you've played Mario Party, it's quite like that except without mini games. Another interesting fact is, you take turns in the game by "scanning" the amiibo (or amiibo card) on the Wii U gamepad. So imagine everyone passing around the Wii U gamepad controller, just to scan their amiibo. All you're really doing is choosing a direction to move in the game, and then it's all luck based. Not too exciting, but it's a relaxing game...

The game is a simple but fun game. Though for most mini games you will have to purchase Animal Crossing trading cards.

This game while it may seem a little slow and boring to some people, is indeed very true to the original Animal Crossing games. It has all the cute characters, and the board and mini games expand the more you play it. It's basically worth it because of the amazing Isabelle and Digby amiibos, and the 3 amiibo cards that come with it.
It's also a nice game to have when you want to have good, fun with younger children that enjoy boardgames and cute characters.

This game is really relaxing. However, don't buy this game thinking it is similar to Mario Party. It lacks mini games and such, but it still is entertaining. What made me purchase this game was the incredible bundle. If you're an animal crossing fan, then you should definitely get this game.

I know a lot of Animal Crossing fans were hoping for a proper Animal Crossing on Wii U, not a Mario Party game re-skinned with Animal Crossing locales and characters. However, for kids who might not be able to fully grasp all the mechanics (especially home expansion and item management) of a main entry into the Animal Crossing franchise, this is not a bad option to introduce young ones to the series.
