Customers praise the Wii Speak compatibility feature of the game, saying it makes communication easier and enhances the overall gaming experience. They also enjoy the variety of activities available, such as shopping, fishing, and decorating their houses. However, some customers find the gameplay repetitive after an extended period of time, and feel that the graphics, music, and plot could be improved.

I am 21 years old and saw this game advertized with a couple of, most likely, equally aged women. Now this is not a product i went out to buy. I came across it at a friends house (his little brother and sister have a wii).
We attempted to play the game expecting a similiar expieriance to Harvest Moon. We were wrong... very wrong. There is very few things that this game offers that are entertaining to a true gamer. The graphics are bad, music is bad, plot is bad, activities (while plentiful) are bad. Now im not gonna hate on this game just because i didnt like it.
I did find it had some great qualities for a younger audience. It was easy to pick up and play, lots of colors, activities a plenty (albeit boring for an adult), and it supports nintendos live speak and online play.
Overall i would only recommend this to a child who doesnt really play a lot of video games but rather enjoys things like webkinz and Club Penguin. Adults should stear clear of this game for they will, if they have any sort of attention span, become bored and possibly angry very quickly.

Don't know why, but I love this game!

We absolutely love this game and I have no clue why. It's not that it is action packed or that the graphics are wonderful or anything like that. It's just... hypnotic. Yesterday, Feb 23rd, was Festivale and the whole town changed for this day. It was really cool and it keeps it interesting. My 5 year old loves it and really my only complaint is that I can do NOTHING while she is playing because I have to read all of the conversations the other characters are having with her to her. You will love this game... I just don't know exactly why!

I love this new Animal Crossing game. I thought that it was goin to be a "boring little kid game". I'm 20, so I like a game that makes since and is fun to play longer than a couple of minutes. Thats what I got when I bought Animal Crossing. This game has everything. This game has fishing, shopping, online chatting, fossil finding, art collecting and more. You should never get bored with this game because it has so much to do. 5 out of 5.

This game is great for the first month or so. Afterward, it gets kind of boring, unless you are playing with a friend. It is great for younger kids, my niece is 8, and she loves playing it. I will say though, that after I bought the game guide I knew a lot more about the game then if I wouldnt have bought it.

Sadly, because i have the ds version this game is very boring, so if you do have the ds verson like me DONT buy it because you will be disapionted about how its so simular. Iplayed this game for a while and got rerally bored. BUT if youve never played any animal crossing games before your sure to love this game!

This is a great game and there is always something to do. Great online multiplayer and you can bring your character with you via your DS. This game is real time so a day passed in the game is a day passed in real life.
The graphics are actually pretty good but they are just the Wii style whichis more animation then real life but they are overall really clear.

This is the best game out of 10 we got! Everyone loves it. We didn't get the wii speak with it and you really should so you don't have to type and type when you have your friends over, etc. So, we ended up getting it later. I have to fight the kids to get off of it. You definitely won't be disappointed in this game

One of the best addicting games

Animal Crossing may come across as a kiddie game or just another game, but on the contrary, it is the exact opposite. It is an addictive game and every time you play the fun gets higher. Plus, if you have family that own a wii, you can buy a microphone where you can chat while playing or go to each other's towns.

I like this game because I feel you get your money's worth out of it, it takes at least a year to finish the game. There is alot to accomplish in the game, it's educational, and could teach children how to budget their bells (money). Fantastic game that I would recommend for any age of female.

Love it, I don't have the wii speak yet but I can't wait to get it! :)
Downsides, there aren't many changes to City Folk that differentiates it from the other two. (Besides the City of course.) The wiimote controls take a little getting used to too. :)

Who knew that paying off your mortgage could be so much fun. You collect virtual money called Bells and spend them how you want. This is so much better than the first two. I reccomend to anyone who wants to have a good time!!!!!

I went in to Best Buy and saw this game in a bargain bin for 50% off. It was the one that is bundled with the Wii Speak. I figured I would just get it for the Wii Speak since that alone is $30. I would have never paid the full $70 for this game and I'm glad I didn't. So far everything is the exact same as the Animal Crossing game I have on DS. If you have already played Animal Crossing on your DS, don't get this game unless you really want to play through the same game again on your TV.

Huge disappointment from Nintendo

This game has many different goals to achieve. Some of them require that you have grass. Here's the problem, anytime you walk on your grass it dies and the only way to fix it is to not walk on it for 6 months. I loved this game at first, but all my grass died and it looked like I was living in a desert. It was so ugly that we decided to start over. The grass started dying immediately so I did some research and it's a feature Nintendo put in that thousands of players are upset about. If you want to keep your grass you have to put more work into keeping it than playing your game and it prevents you from making your goals. My daughter and I were in competition to see who got all the fish, bugs, etc first. But I found in my research that you should only load the game once a day to minimize grass death. The suggestion is that all players use the same character and don't turn the game off til you're done for the day. This makes the game frustrating and a bad choice for children. I now have a $50 game that neither my daughter or I play. I seriously suggest that people don't buy this game until after Nintendo fixes this design flaw. This "animal tracks" feature prevents you from playing the game the way it's supposed to be played. It should be a fun game, but it's not, it's just frustrating.
