The ac power cord that comes with the Nintendo Switch is the recommended cord to charge this portable battery. This battery DOES INCLUDE a USB TYPE C CABLE to charge the Nintendo Switch when you are on the go. The owner's manual states that this portable battery is NOT compatible with PowerIQ, PowerIQ2.0, or Qualcom Quick Charge when you want to charge this battery. However this battery is capable of charging OTHER DEVICES at a quick rate.

Essential for on the go gaming with a Switch as the battery life in a Switch is limited. This adds an additional 4 to 8 hours of gameplay, which is super helpful.

    Great Portable Power

The price of this portable charger is not among the cheapest, and some say it is mainly due to Nintendo's licensing. But the peace of mind in the combination of Anker's brand reputation based on personal experience with their products and the assurance that it is approved by Nintendo to deliver a safe charge is enough for me to pay the premium price. It functions as it is supposed to and works great The battery itself is a bit heavy (to be expected with the power behind it), but has a nice matte finish. This does not come with a wall adaptor to charge, but does have a decent sized USB-C to USB-C cable to charge the Switch, and the console can be used while it is charging, which is a big plus. Unadvertised on the box, this also comes with a nice carrying bag. Highly recommended.

If you've purchased Anker battery banks in the past then you already know that Anker makes awesome products. This officially licensed Nintendo battery bank is no exception. Also, it fits perfectly in Satisfye's Elite case and in my opinion is the perfect size to carry on you person and backpack. Unless, you are going on an extended trip this should provide you with enough power to keep you gaming for a good while. I tested the output with my usc power meter and the numbers it outputs are right on the money. I was tempted to take a star from my review because it comes with no wall adapter or cable but you can use you Nintendo cable and adapter to charge it. Obviously, if you already have an Anker wall or desktop adapter you can also use it to charge it. I've been using mine for a month now and have yet to have any issues with it and it charges my Switch fast and while its on. I highly recommend it.

I bought this charger because I was traveling across Europe for a month and needed something to charge my switch on buses and plane rides. I exclusively used this as my main charger for my switch and it was great. It kept my phone and switch fully charged wherever I went. Also it was great because I didn’t have to carry around my bulky Switch charging brick because my phone charger is a USB-C brick and the battery pack comes with a USB-C to USB-C cord so I could just use my phone charging brick with the cord they included. Awesome charger because it’s switch approved and high quality, the size isn’t even that bad either for how big the actual battery pack is.

I love my Nintendo Switch. It's portability and flexibility make it one of the best, in my opinion. Sadly, the battery doesn't last very long. The most I've gotten out of it is about 2 and half hours. Enter the Anker PowerCore designed and branded for the Switch. If you are a portable Switch user, I recommend getting a power bank. I looked at several, but when I discovered the Switch uses power direct, that changed my perspective. A non power direct power bank would charge your Switch very slowly, whereas this Anker PowerCore gave me almost 40% charge in 45 minutes or so. There are many power banks out there, but those with equal size and power direct were actually a tad more expensive than this one. Even with that, the price is the biggest deterrent here. Depending on your prioritization of power direct charging, you can find something quite a bit cheaper. Overall, I recommend the Anker PowerCore. It's size makes it a lasting power source for Switch players on the go, and the power direct compatibility gives you performance you couldn't touch with a lesser power bank.

This is a great portable charger and is so convenient to use with my Nintendo Switch. It is easy and fast to charge up plus it lasts for a long time. Also, it fits perfectly in my Satifye switch case. I feel like the price point was a little more than I would have liked compare to the other Anker chargers but it was worth it!

The first thing you need to know about this battery is that it is officially licensed by Nintendo. The reason that is so important is that anytime you deal with any power related accessories with the Nintendo Switch, you have the chance of frying the charging port and if what you are using is not officially licensed by Nintendo, then Nintendo has the option to deny the warranty. So yes, you will be paying a little extra for this batteries simply for the Nintendo licensing, but that aside, you have the peace of mind that you are safe if anything power related happens to your switch. I do want to add that this battery is incredible. It adds hours of extra playtime to your Switch and is powerful enough to charge it up while playing on it, most batteries are unable to do this. And because it uses PDP charging method, you can charge the entire battery in about three hours. This battery is also very slim for the capacity it holds. It also comes with a lovely gray carrying bag.

This is the best most versatile charger I can find. It holds a ton of juice and charges a phone and a Switch at the same time. It’s compact, a little weighty but will be a consistent pack for a long time. I’ve had mine for over a year and it’s still gets the job done. Well worth the price tag.

Anyone who owns a Nintendo Switch should know that if you're not using 1st party or certified products, you run the risk of frying out the Switch's USB-C port. Even if it's a very small, when using a Google Pixel phone charger or a Samsung Chromebook Charger, the risk is there. Then you want to carry a portable battery around to charge your devices but a lot of them aren't powerful enough to charge a Switch and they still pose a risk of burning out the port. Anker has been making battery banks and chargers for a long time now and have built a pretty good reputation for themselves. I use a lot of their products around the house, including 2 Dash cams (for the wife and I) and a charging hub. There are both pros and cons about this product and I'd like to mention them in here: Pros: - Can charge your Switch at full power - Comes with a USB-C to C cable - Can charge many other devices, including your phone, your Pro controller, or your tablet. - Nintendo certification means if the battery does damage the Switch, it's covered under the Switch's warranty. - Sleek and long design means it takes less space in your bag and can fit in one of the thicker Switch carrying cases - Comes with a protective pouch Cons: - The Switch Pro controller doesn't charge from the USB-A port (still works from USB-C port) - Battery won't charge unless it's plugged in to a USB PD charger - Doesn't come with a wall charger As you can see, many Pros, very little Cons. I ended up doing some research about the Pro controller and it seems that the USB-A port is a "Smart IQ" port that detects the device and charges accordingly but for some reason, the Pro controller doesn't take a charge from that port. Plugging it into the USB-C port works just fine. As for charging the battery, I used my phone's charger (Samsung) and it sat all night at the same charge. The charging port does say "USB PD" so it only makes senses that it charges with USB PD. Luckily, the Switch power supply is USB PD so it will work on the battery bank. Aside from those two things, the Anker Powercore is a great battery bank to have in your bag for charging all your devices, including your Switch. I bought mine back in November of 2018 and I recently bought a second one for my wife and her Switch. I'll always recommend an Anker product.

This will give my switch a full charge while playing battery sucking games like BOTW. Works amazingly well, and for what it does, I’m surprised it wasn’t bigger. Does the job, still easy to transport, works great for multiple charges on other things like my GoPro Hero 8 Black and my phone.

It's expensive but piece of mind is priceless. Great to bring on planes so your Switch can last longer than 4 or more hours. Also works great for other devices and especially USB-C phones with the USB-C to USB-C cable. Love charging my Switch without worrying about looking for an outlet.

I've had a few different types of Power Banks over the years. When the Nintendo Switch first came out, there really wasn't a lot of options out there. After having trudged through a lot of other devices, I came across this gem in a local Best Buy. At this point, I realized there was a difference from the mAh rating on the banks and seeing that it had 20,100, decided to give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised. It provided hours of use off of one charge. It's one of the few power banks that I have tried that actually was able to CHARGE the Switch while using it. Many of the other chargers could only charge if you weren't playing with the console. So whenever it was done charging, it would start to direct charge it. When the power bank ran out of power, the Switch was fully charged. This was after several hours of use. If you just charge the Switch and don't play it, you get about 3.5 - 4 charges from it. While playing, it depends on how active the game is as to how long it will last. You can expect at least 4 more hours no matter the intensity and I have gotten up to 8 - 10 hours with games like Pokemon. If you do a lot of internet actions, it will last less, but even when the battery runs out, you still have the Switch charge left. So, just to make sure I had juice, I bought 2 of them. We liked it so much (the wife wanted one too,) we now have 3 of them. This is from using the OG Switch, too. So, if you have the new 2.0 standard, it will last even LONGER. The purchase date listed is 3/17/2020, but we bought the 1st one about a year and a half ago. You just can't go wrong with it.

Before purchasing, i saw hit or miss reviews on this and still do, but i am super glad i purchased this. I wanted something that wasn’t a monster as far as size and could charge my switch, laptop, and phone. I was also nervous at getting a power bank that was cheap and would wreck my switch. I was pleasantly surprised that thus charged all my devices and did it pretty quick! It held up for multiple charges for my switch before i had fo recharge the powerbank and even more with my phone! 10/10 would recomend.
