I have the Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max and use both the traditional lightning (plug-in) charger and various wireless charging devices we have set up around the house, but I’ve never had a MagSafe compatible magnetic wireless charger (with the magnetic round puck/disk). I’ve tried the official ones in the Apple store many times, and upon receiving this one, it works just as well, and better than the wireless stands I already had. I like being able to quickly and effortlessly attach it to the back of my iPhone and know that it is instantly charging; on my wireless stands I sometimes have to move my iPhone around a bit and adjust it for charging to begin. I can also use the iPhone while it is charging since I can simply pick it up with the magnetic pad/disk still attached and charging. It also charges faster at the 7.5W rate; my wireless stands max out at only 5W. The only caveat I have about this charger is that it gets very very warm on overnight or longer periods of charging. I wouldn’t go so far as to say “hot”, but it’s almost there, to the point where I can barely stand it when I pick it up—I quickly have to put it down or detach it from the iPhone and have it cool down a bit. But I feel that’s just the nature of the charging process, so I don’t think it deserves a knock on the stars for this review.

Wireless charging has been around for a while now but magnetic wireless charging for iPhones is new within the last couple years. One of the two downsides to normal wireless chargers is that you cannot use your phone in bed while it’s charging, and because if you do know get it on there right then it will not charge. This charger fixes both of those issues because it magnets exactly to the right spot it needs to charger and stays connected so you can actually use your phone while it’s connected. The design of this charger is very sleek and well built. It is made of a very nice aluminum. One of my favorite things is that it has fabric on the side that connects to your phone which helps prevent scratches, especially if you don’t use a case. The chord is a decent length which allows you to easily use it while lying in bed for example. As far as how fast it charges I believe it is on par with most other wireless chargers and I do not really have any complaints. I believe this is a great quality and value if you like the comparable Apple one and do not want to spend the money. I’d prefer to buy this over the Apple one anyway. Anker makes extremely high quality products and stands behind them. I would highly recommend this cord to anyone looking for a wireless charger for there iPhone.

This charger works exactly as it was expected, and even better. It fully charged my iphone12 in about an hour and a half when it was at 15% of Battery left with the case. Small size which is perfect for travel, and has a strong magnetic grip with a cloth on the surface so it wont scratch the surface of the iphone12, very clever. It doesn’t include the AC adapter so it will require one with a USB-C female plug, but with a 2.5amp adapter it will be more than enough to get a rapid charge of your phone. That is the one that I am using and can be easily found on amazon, very cheap. It is really useful to have the 5ft long cable that allows me to accommodate the unit easily and put it wherever I want. The aluminum finish gives an elegant touch and matches with the overall quality look of my iphone12. Two things that really stands out on this charger. First, once it magnetically grips to the iphone, you can feel confident that it is really charging. This is not like other wireless charging pad that if you don’t align correctly or if for some reason the iphone moves of the aligned position then it will stop charging. The second advantage, is that this charger includes short circuit protection and temperature control will give me peace of mind that my Iphone will not overload or break.

Anker has been really outperforming the competition. Anker products in my opinion have been better than many OEM products in terms of power and also quality. The first thing I noticed upon opening the box was how long the cord was and that it was USB-C. The charger was already perfect. The charging disk is made of metal with a nice felt or cloth pad on the top to protect your phone while charging. The cloth material is of high quality and should pose no issues with wear and tear. The magnetic pad is strong and secures to your iPhone. It will connect with a case if you have a magsafe equipped case and it will connect magnetically pretty will if you have a non-magsafe or regular phone case (depending on the case thickness). I have the newest iPhone 13 pro max and it seems to charge just as quick as my other high-end wireless chargers. I always charge when I go to bed so I didn't get a full glimpse of how quick it charges. Great magnetic wireless charge for your iPhone 12/13.

This is my first magnetic charging accessory and I have to say that now I’m hooked! The design feels solid as the “head” has an aluminum casing. There is a fabric face that won’t scratch the back of the phone. The integrated cord is 5 feet long which is perfect for plugging it in behind a nightstand. The cord is also very flexible. In my experience with many Anker cords over the years they are very reliable and it appears this cable is very similar to their “basic” cables in quality. The magnet is strong and aligns instantly on the phone. Since getting my iPhone 12 I have used a few Qi pads for the convenience, but on more than one occasion the phone got bumped off and did not charge. I will be using this charger on my desk where I am most likely to bump my phone while charging. I also found that while using this charger instead of my Qi pad the phone didn’t get as warm, so perhaps the alignment of the charger makes it more efficient. While the charger did not come with a power supply this was not a big deal as I paired it with one of the several nano-type, PD plugs I had for cable charging my phone. Overall I am happier with this charger than my Qi pads and will probably pick up a few more of these to replace them.

This thing is garbge. It doesn't come with a brick and when I use it, my phone overheats.

It was great… while it worked. It was so funny that the day after it was not returnable it just stops working completely. I would say just spend the extra money and get the Apple MagSafe OEM charger. I enjoyed it when it worked though, especially with the longer cable, but all that now is for nothing. It just stopped working. Completely. I wish I had just bought the OEM Apple MagSafe charger.

The PowerWave Sense Magnetic 7.5W Charging Pad is a small wireless charging pad designed for the Iphone 12 and Iphone 13 and is Magsafe compatible. I used it with my Iphone 12 and because of its magnetic design, it always created a quick connection without any fumbling around finding a sweet spot on the pad. The pad is also very small and easy to travel with. Using it in a car is very possible because the strong magnetic connection prevents the phone from slipping off the pad. I recommend the pad for anyone with an Iphone 12 or 13 who wants a convenient wireless pad that is also great on the move. Note: USB charger not included.

One star because it charges the device like it should, but the whole selling point was that it's magnetic so you can charge your phone while holding it and using it and... the cord is heavier than the magnet can support so it just slides right off of the phone every single time.

One of the features that made me excited for Apple’s iPhone 12 (and now 13) series was MagSafe, a way to magnetically attach accessories like chargers and car mounts to the back of the iPhone. Now a year after the introduction of the iPhone 12 I’m a little surprised that more accessory makers haven’t taken advantage of MagSafe. When I saw Anker was out with a new MagSafe compatible charger I was immediately interested. I have owned more than a few charging cables from Anker and they have never let me down. Anker’s PowerWave Sense Magnetic is a small aluminum and PU leather puck with a long cord and USB-C connector. No, it doesn’t come with a power brick, but with the number of chargers I have lying around I was more than okay not adding another to the pile. While it’s MagSafe-compatible the PowerWave Sense Magnetic is not “made for MagSafe,” meaning it has not been officially certified by Apple and therefore cannot charge at the full 15-watt speeds of officially-licensed MagSafe products. It maxes out at the 7.5-watt qi-compatible speed that most other wireless chargers do. As with other Anker products the PowerWave Sense Magnetic is solidly-built. I appreciate the heft of the aluminum puck, which lends a sense of quality, and the attractive PU leather covering one side that provides a soft surface for your phone or case to attach to. As a black iPhone owner I would love to see this charger rendered in black as well, as I’m sure it would look great. Usage is dead-simple: plug the USB-C cable into a compatible charging brick and hold the fabric-covered side of the puck against the middle of the back of your iPhone and it will snap into place, beginning to charge immediately. Note that you’ll need a MagSafe-compatible case if you want to charge successfully without removing the case; regular cases without the appropriate magnets will not keep the puck tightly attached. I ordered a MagSafe compatible (but not “made for MagSafe) case from one of my favorite brands and was pleased to find the Anker PowerWave Sense snaps right on as it should. Limited to a maximum of 7.5 watts of wireless charging means the PowerWave Sense will not charge anywhere near as quickly as Apple’s official MagSafe charger or the (very) few third-party Made for MagSafe options available. If you’re someone like me who generally plugs their phone in before they go to bed you’ll have no trouble waking up to a full charge, but if you’re looking for speed you may want to look elsewhere. In my testing the PowerWave Sense is able to add 4-5% to the battery every 10 minutes, which is admittedly not much, and nowhere near as fast as a USB-C to Lightning cable plugged into a powerful charging brick. After 20 minutes on the PowerWave Sense my phone went from 81% to 90%, but your mileage may vary based on the power brick and how much you use your phone while it charges. The PowerWave Sense does get warm after prolonged use, but it never felt too hot, and I trust Anker’s description of the built-in charging safety features to keep things in check. Overall, I’m pleased with the PowerWave Sense, but not as impressed as I hoped to be with the first MagSafe compatible charger I’ve used. I like the simple magnetic attachment and the overall design and construction of Anker’s offering. I also like the long cord that Anker says will last for 10,000 bends, something I take their word for as an owner of numerous Anker products. All that being said, for $10 more you can have Apple’s official MagSafe charger, which will give you the full 15-watt charging experience, albeit with a shorter cable that is likely not as durable as Anker’s. Neither product includes the charging brick and both use USB-C. At the end of the day, having not used an “official” MagSafe charger, I can’t comment on how much faster it charges an iPhone if it is indeed faster. If you’re less concerned about speed and more concerned about purchasing an attractive product from a brand known for durability, I say you can’t go wrong with the Anker PowerWave Sense. But if you’re looking for the fastest charge MagSafe can offer, you’ll have to look somewhere else.

This little trash magnet only charges when placed in a VERY specific spot on a phone, and even then frequently stops charging. No wall plug-in is included, so you'll need to buy a USB-C compatible plug.

Been using the Anker Mag Safe charging pad for a few weeks now and like how easy the product is to use. I have a non Apple clear case and the charging pad connects and stays firmly in place while charging. When done charging you need to slightly pull apart as the magnetic properties keep the charging pad securely connected to the back of the iPhone through my clear case. Great product that I charge my iPhone on nightly.

I keep putting my phone on top of but is not working the magnet works but the charger is slow and it disconnect itself

This is a cheaper alternative to the official apple magsafe wireless charger. You are capped at 7.5w charging power, official apple one will get you up to 15w with the proper usb-c wall plug. Knocked off a star because just like the apple charger nobody gives you a proper usb-c wall plug. I'd like to know who they think has a collection of usb-c wall plugs all over their house that they think they don't need to provide one. The magnetic snaps to the phone through my case ok it's not overly strong but it does the trick. You won't get as much charging power so the apple one will get the job done faster but if you just want a cheaper slower option for overnight this will work just fine. Overall it works as described but I'm disappointed that without a usb-c plug you have to go out and spend more money to just to use the product you just paid money for more.

This is my 2nd magsafe item. I have an iPh12 and now 13 ProMax's. This charger has a stronger magnet than my 1st, and definitely charges much quicker. Look and feel is good. I did like the soft padding on the charger which did not affect the power of the magnet. Charges fast.

I do not own many Apple propriety cables and I have many USB type C wall adapters, so I like to use the wireless charger for Apple Magsafe and Anker for my iPhone 13 Pro. I used both of these magnetic charging pads and found both to be about the same, except the Anker was $10 cheaper. I was impressed with the quality of materials, including the cable. However, the Anker has a 5 foot cable vs Apple’s 3 foot one. The only other difference I could find is that Anker discloses the magnetic wireless charging speed at 7.5W with iPhone 12 and 15W as a non-magnetic charging pad for other phone brands. I found it odd that Apple does not disclose the true charging speed as a magnetic charger as they only state the Magsafe can charge up to 15W. Since there is not much difference between these two magnetic charging pads, except the Anker is 2 feet longer, saving $10 is a no brainer.

Thought this would fit products that were made for Apple MagSafe cord, but it’s a 1/4” bigger.

Magnetic connection is solid and charges easily and every time through the Apple Magsafe case. Looks good on the nightstand. Note that it does not come with a power supply and is a USB–C port, so just make sure you have a USB-C charging plug for it.
