It is as good as it can be. It creates white noise but so far I have not seen one device in this style that does not create it. Sound quality is very acceptable, the volume is low.

I ordered a NEW SmartCharge and I received an open box with just the item and an instruction booklet tossed into a battered box. It does not even have the tray the charger comes in normally, the bag for the item was torn, and obviously it is a REJECT because it has a lot of static in any station it shows on its screen. First time I buy from BEST BUY and the last time I will do so. The welcome wagon made me feel like a fool, worthless customer. I regret having gone to this store.

Very easy to setup. Sound quality is good coming from bluetooth on my Galaxy S8+. The fast charging USB port is a great added feature that I connect my dash cam to or charge my phone. The extended reach from the device itself helps a lot with call quality, though I don't use it too often for that purpose. The audio jack and microSD slot is a nice touch to have. But I really only use the bluetooth feature for music. Would be a solid 5/5 if the volume wasn't too low, having tested on multiple phones. But overall still a solid product for $30.

5 stars but useless in Los Angeles area

I really want to give this 5 stars as it saved the day for me. i can't because it doesn't work anymore in the LA area. I acquired a 2003 Honda which doesn't allow a simple swap out for the car stereo and also doesn't have modern features like bluetooth or hands free calling. I was dubious about getting an FM transmitter because i thought the sound quality would suck but surprisingly the sound quality was great. For two weeks or so. i had hands free calling and could listen to anything that I wanted to stream from my phone. And then all of a sudden the FM dial became so clogged with radio stations that there was no longer any way to get an open frequency. if you aren't in Orange County or Los Angeles you will love this thing. It can save you lots of aggravation and money by adding bluetooth features to your older car stereo. Where I live though, there are too many radio stations and it won't function without some dead airspace somewhere along the dial. A real bummer since it had been working so well.

I purchased this transmitter as a replacement. The Anker ROAV SmartCharge F3 is a great transmitter overall. Sound is clear, range is good, and is very easy to use, it also has an app with other useful options. I love that it has 2 USB ports. I have yet to try playing music from a flash drive so I cant comment on that, but that option is offered. I use this transmitter in my 07 Toyota Tacoma and the 12 volt port is down on the lower end of the dash which makes it a bit more difficult to use while driving. If the flexible neck were just a bit longer this would make a perfect product for my use. Other than that this is a great transmitter overall for the price.

I love this ROAV Bluetooth transmitter it works great on my 1997 Lexus. Sound is crystal clear as long as the station you are on is not in use by a real radio station. That’s the only time you get slight ambient noises coming from the frequency’s. Other then that the app works well and the product is very easy to use. I would recommend this to anyone who has adequate OEM speakers in their vehicle who would rather keep their stock system instead of paying a bunch for a whole aftermarket set up. Sound is clear Easy to use App actually works Voice calling and Siri are also supported and work well.

I got it 3-month ago, and waited to see how it works. I have it on my work van, it's on daily since then. This charger/transmitter is great. Once I got accustomed to using it,was wonderful. Every now and then i have switch channels, but I understand that it's not an issue with the transmitter itself rather than the availability of the FM frequency you dial to. Simply, I switch to another channel. Clarity is good. It announces that its paired in bluetooth mode, which is handy while driving, so you're not distracted. Hands free calls are definitely 10-pluses, with the clear sound it provides. The ability to use micros-SD for extra songs is a plus (which I actually used), the 2-USB ports are a double plus.

I bought this device after I switched cars with my Dad since his car didn't have an AUX cable plug in (not a big fan of the radio). It's pretty great, sound quality is there, and it's user friendly. I would say that the only downside to this device is how touchy it can be in regards to the plug in adapter. Sometimes barely tapping it will cause it to have to reconnect to your phone and there have been times for me that it doesn't reconnect at all. That part is a bummer, but aside from that, it's a pretty good bluetooth transmitter. I also bought the Roav F2, that doesn't have the fancy looking screen and didn't/doesn't pose the touch sensitivity problems this one does for me.

With the associated app, this handy gadget is perfect for vehicles that don't have bluetooth connectivity. You don't have to use the FM transmitter and you can turn it off through the app but you must turn it off everytime you use your vehicle. I had to return mine because it interfered with my TPMS or tire pressure monitoring system in my vehicle which uses FM frequencies. It was just too annoying having to go into the app every time to turn it off and hope that it stayed off. If you are looking for this type of item and your vehicle is old enough not to have tpms then you can't go wrong picking up this item without the hassle of having a new deck installed.

We receive pretty good sound quality using the FM transmitter through the Bluetooth connection to our phone. It sounds just as good as piping it through a Bluetooth speaker. We have it installed in a 2005 Lexus. It was extremely easy to setup and start using. The hands-free dialing is OK. It works well for receiving a call, but requires a little getting used to initiate a new call through your contact list. The speakerphone has a pretty good microphone and does a decent job of filtering out background noise.

I love it because this item is Bluetooth so no wires need. It took a couple of tries to find a clean channel on the radio but once I did it now allows me to steam my Pandora thru my radio and is crystal clear. I find it to be very user friendly and I recommend it for anyone who want to stream audio to a non Bluetooth car radio!

Finally one of these with good quality sound. I have purchased 2 others in the past and was very upset. This however, it much better. It has the USB option along with the Bluetooth and I don't lose my USB charging spot because it has one on the adapter. Great price and a very good quality product.

Got this to replace an FM Transmitter that had gone missing. The material and built quality on this is excellent, for starters. App is easy to use, always seems to be running in the background though. It's up to you whether or not you want the car finding ability. I live in the country so it's not necessary. The display is a light blue and ALWAYS on. You can dim it in the app but it's still distracting, I find myself bending the neck on it so it sits away from me during night driving. You liking this product is really based on the fact of where your cigarette lighter in is in your car. This thing takes up some room with the neck and the head. The station surfing autoseek isn't bad, it's easy to manually fine tune. I do also like the fact it keeps track and monitors your car battery amperage. That's a nice, useful feature. There's always a bit of static with these things, Depending on electrical or radio interference, it can be frustrating. Keep fine tuning, but there is the chance your best result isn't to your liking. Overall this is a great product. I'm impressed by the features. Sound quality depends on where you live, but when it's good, it's GOOD.

It just plugged in to the power outlet and automatically found an unused FM frequency. We tuned the radio to the displayed frequency, hooked up with bluetooth and it was on! Sounds great. Easy to understand directions. Lots of features.

1 1/2 years after getting this for my old tech Jeep Wrangler, I'm still very happy. The usb port charges my iPhone quicker than a lot of wall plugs. And the voice audio coming over the radio is very clear. Most surprisingly, as noisy as the cab is driving a Jeep on the highway, nobody can ever tell I'm in the car! I expected the tiny built-in mic sitting way down at my cigarette lighter (though somewhat directional with the nice little goose neck feature) would magnify the cacophonous whooshing sound you can't escape in a Wrangler at high speeds. Again, not the case! Are there better blue-tooth transmitters for hands free connections to your car radio? Probably. But probably not at this price point.

Great with the bluetooth & wired. Useless for FM transmitter. But it does what I needed it for, which was connecting phone with bluetooth but no headphone jack to an older car stereo with aux input but no bluetooth. To be fair, no FM transmitter has ever worked well without disconnecting the car's antennae. But this is the only one that I haven't beennable to get even a hit of a signal using *any* frequency.
