I almost went with a generic amazon cooler, but decided it was worth to spend extra to make sure my kids drinks and foods were fresh unspoiled. So far so good. I’m happy with this purchase

The Anker SOLIX Everfrost 2 Electric cooler is going to be such an amazing addition to our camping trips. I got this cooler just in time to take with us out to our camper for a few days. I knew this would be a large cooler (58L) but in my mind I wondered just how much would actually be able to fit in its two separate compartments when I opened the lids to see and how heavy was it going to be full? It didn’t seem like it had a lot of space. Boy, was I wrong. Upon taking the cooler out of the box, the battery was very minimally charged but after plugging it in for just a little over 2.5 hours we were at 100% and ready to go! You can definitely hear the fans when they turn on but it’s nothing that draws a lot of attention. The separate lids for the compartments each have a fan which cycles the cold air to evenly keep the temps controlled which was great! It has a bottle open built into the side of it as well as a few spots for some added accessories. I thought the road trip accessory kit was coming with the cooler, but unfortunately we didn’t receive that kit with this cooler. Not a game changer for me but would’ve been a nice addition. The solar panel will most definitely be a purchase for later down the road. I love the fact this cooler will charge with that option added to it. It just adds to its portability without having to rely on electricity to use it! Ankers app was absolutely easy and connected so easily to my phone. It gives you SO much information on the cooler so it’s definitely a must download when you go to use this cooler. The drawers for the batteries honestly feel cheap. The cooler only came with one battery. We used the other compartment for the charging cable for now until the second battery is purchased. With the weight of this cooler empty (approximately 60 pounds according to box), I feel like the pop up handle / table on the side of the cooler also feels a little cheaply made, not very heavy duty. I was concerned with it especially once we put the food and drinks in and the weight increased substantially. But again, I was wrong and it held up to a cooler full of food and drinks and made moving it around easier while using wheels. Now, when trying to lift this into your vehicle or in our case, our side by side with food and drinks inside, can you say TEAM LIFT? You definitely need help getting this thing off the ground if wheels are not an option, so keep that in mind. We had our basic “camping foods” including burgers, hotdogs, cheese and normal condiments on one side and we had a 12 pack of canned drinks along with 6 water bottles on the other side. Temps were set in the beginning to -1 on the side with the meats and 32 degrees on the side with the drinks. Needless to say, this things gets cold QUICK!! Much quicker than I thought it would. In about 17 mins, the side with the food dropped to -1 and from that point, we turned it up to 35 to keep the food cold but not frozen. The drink side was increased to 35 as well. Drinks were nice and cold and honestly, I had the space to fit a few other things in there even with the canned and bottled drinks in there. I definitely underestimated the storage ability upon first glance when we first opened the cooler. Another plus for me was that the drinks weren’t dripping wet from being in ice, the food was cold and not saturated from the ice. This was my favorite feature honestly. Everything staying nice and cold but without the wet, dripping issues from melted ice. Moving to day 2, approximately 22 hours after turning on and storing food, the cooler was still cooling and the battery was at 16% and we had it in smart mode. I will say in Virginia our temps were right around 63 at the most during the day and overnight dropped into the 40’s. I was very pleased with this cooler and the battery life. I’ll most definitely give an update to this review once we have it out in our 70-80 degree days while camping. I do believe that is when having a second battery will be beneficial. Over all, this cooler is expensive yes, BUT to me you’re getting a portable refrigerator/freezer not just a cooler. You can use it for camping, parties, road trips, or even during power outages. I think it’s definitely worth the investment. Anker makes great products and this cooler is most definitely one of them!

This cooler is very nice and has been useful especially during the summer. It is nice to go to the grocery store and then put the perishable food in the cooler and not have to rush home but almost exactly two months and the power input no longer works and won’t power up or charge the battery so now I will have to try and exchange or warranty it.

This is an awesome cooler for a number of reasons, However, it's big. 39inches wide,20 inches tall and about 18 inches deep (Back to front). Weighs nearly 70lbs. You'll want to make sure you have space in your vehicle for it. Small SUVs will lose a lot of space to this cooler. It cools down quick. Dual zone so you can freeze on one side and keep things cold on the other. Runs fairly quiet. Lids latch down solidly to keep the cool in. The Anker app works flawlessly to control it, or you can use the manual onboard controls. Plugged into a regular household outlet, the cooler will run and charge the batteries. For road trips the included 12v car accessory plug will keep it going so you don't have to worry about draining the battery/batteries. Solar panels aren't included, however a 100W solar panel will keep your batteries topped up and the cooler running during daylight hours. The batteries can also be charged via USB-c. A bonus to the batteries are they can be used as a power bank to re-charge your devices like phones and tablets. This would make a good addition to a van life build, Basic camper trailer, off grid cabin and such. To test out, once it got down to temp, I put in a room temp 16.9 oz water bottle on the freezer side set to 0degF. It froze the water solid in just under 6 hours. Now for the not so good. Anker claims 3.2 days with 2 batteries, however only 1 battery is included. In a temperature controlled room set to 70degF, the battery went from fully charged to empty between 18.5 and 19 hours. Doubling it with a second battery, or out in hot weather, those claims appear to fall a bit short. The cooler is not insulated really well, so once the battery is drained the internal temp will gradually creep up faster than a normal cooler. But no worries if you're near a power source to recharge. The not-so-good. A second battery is very expensive at $199.99 on Ankers website. That's over 20% of the cost of the cooler itself. Another detractor in my opinion are the wheel chocks. Good to have for sure, but there's no carry bag, way to attach them too the outside of the cooler, etc making them easy to misplace or lose. One thing for future iterations or as a buyable option would be a rack or shelf you can put in each side to help organize/separate your food items. All in all, this is a good cooler that I'd recommend. If it had come with 2 batteries this would be a solid 5 stars. As is, it's a 4.5.

I received my Anker Solix Everfrost 2 cooler a few days ago and to my disappointment, the shipper had somehow managed to knock a hole in the outer skin of the cooler. After contacting customer support, they were very eager to make it right and are shipping me a new replacement cooler. They have been great to work with. One thing the damage did allow me to see was how thick the outer shell is on these coolers. They aren't flimsy at all and this cooler must have taken quite a hit to have a hole punched into it. It also showed that even with a gouge in the side the cooler still works exactly as its supposed to work. My family has camped for years and with my kids involved in outdoor sports, we constantly keep a cooler filled with food, snacks and drinks in the truck. That means always dealing with ice and even worse, melted ice water soaking into our food items. This cooler really does solve both of those problems. The cooler is divided into two separate sections. Each one can be set to its own termperature. So, you can have to coolers set to keep stuff frozen, or two to just keep stuff refrigerator cold or one to freeze and one to cool. The options are yours. I can't say for sure how cold you can keep this cooler, but I have been running one side at minus 4 degrees and the other at 35 degrees and I love it. There is a digital readout on the top and menue buttons and there is also an app that lets you monitor the temperature and batterie and make adjustments to the cooler. My cooler came with a DC charger and a car plug charger. You can also buy a solar charger if you spend a lot of time dry camping. My Chevy truck has an AC plug in the bed, so whenever I need to recharge the battery, I just flip on the plug and in an hour or two I have a full battery in the cooler. The cooler is heavy, but not much heavier than my Cabelas 80 qt ice chest. I think this cooler is just a little under 70 pounds, but it has a built in handle and built in wheels. It also comes with wheel chocks to keep it in place while in the back of the truck. If you use a cooler a lot like my family does, this is a great product and one that, so far, is working exactly as expected. Now, I have to send my damaged cooler back and anxiously wait for my replacement. Get you one, and you won't be disappointed.

When looking for a portable fridge/freezer cooler, there are a lot of choices on the market. There are many options to consider before deciding which one to buy, most importantly the size, weight, and different features it offers. Since this is the second generation of their portable coolers with batteries, it should perform quite well. And so far after testing it, it does hold up to its claims. However, the biggest drawback immediately is the sheer size and weight of this unit. At almost 70 pounds, it is not easy to handle alone. In fact, the closest thing is to imagine picking something that is 3ft wide with 8 gallon jugs of water on it. If you are able to accept that though, this is a fantastic cooler. For starters, there are two compartments that are the same size that can be individually controlled. This has become extremely handy when it comes to storage options, as well as power saving options down the road. You can control all the necessary things on the cooler itself, but it does also have an mobile app. The app was very easy to use, and connects flawlessly every time. While the unit is heavy, the handle used for moving it makes it very easy to move around. Because the battery and compressor weight is in the back end, it makes it much easier to lift on the other end. They advertised using this on the beach, but time will tell if these wheels can hold up to the sand. The inside has some nice thick insulated walls, as well as a drain plug on the bottom which is nice. Going through some testing numbers, here's what I have found. On AC power, it uses about 68 watts running both sides, and about 40 watts running one. On DC power, it will use 70-80 for 2, and 60-70 for 1. This is interesting because it's usually the opposite. However, if running on the provided battery, it averages at around 60 watts for both, and only a little less for one. These numbers are from the initial start up using smart mode for a couple of minutes. The problem I noticed with smart mode was that it never really turned off, it seems to be continuously running even if low powered after temperatures were met. From power up at room temps until the coolers reached a temp of 37 and 0 degrees, it consumed 30% battery (86.4wH) using smart mode for 2 hours. After for 10 hours, it was switched to eco mode and used 34% (98wH). This was all done indoors, where the room temperature was around 68. Assuming you give this cooler the best shot where you precooled and then ran eco only, then one battery can last almost 30 hours with the same conditions. That is very power efficient, but of course in the heat of summer you can probably expect it to be halved. While this is a great cooler so far, the price is questionable, especially when there are cheaper options and only one battery is included. It can be hard to recommend this due to that, as well as the weight. For long road trips, this is an excellent option because of the efficiency and configurable. If you are expecting to move this a lot on the trip, then you should consider something lighter. While the battery is nice to have in one package, you can purchase a separate battery twice the size for the money you save going a different option. The mobile app is great to use, and it is rare to see that with smart products nowadays. This is a good product, but know what you are getting in to.

Anker - SOLIX Everfrost 2 Electric Cooler 58L(61QT) is a cooler beast. I've used it continuously for several days. I've used it on A/C power, and on battery power. Here's what I can say. Both the freezer side and the refrigerator side keep your food and beverages amazingly cool. I am beyond amazed at how well this product works. I was able to place a few frozen items in the freezer section and ran the cooler on battery power for over 18 hours keeping everything nice and cool. Now keep in mind this was done indoors with the inside temperature being 70 degrees. So I am curious to see how well this will work during our summer months which will be around 95 degrees and a nice dry heat. Overall I would highly recommend this cooler. You can connect this cooler via wifi or Bluetooth which does come in very handy. The wifi probably not as much when camping but the Bluetooth definitely will especially if you're running it off the battery and you're sleeping, you'll get notifications when the battery is almost dead. The battery can be charged via A/C, or D/C. The cooler has a nice and easy-to-use touchscreen and an even easier to use App. The lid locks are sturdy and the hinges are very sturdy as well. I can't say enough great things about this cooler.
