History person. i enjoyed the movie. I like history and the movie was comfortable for me.

This film is shot part stage, part movie but its really good. it makes you feel your watching a play and a movie at the same time.

I had saw this movie on HBO one night and enjoyed it very much, so I was super excited to find it on DVD at my nearest Best Buy!

I got this when it was on sale and it was a blind buy for me. It was well worth it. Give this movie a try. You won't regret it.

If there never was the Tolstoy classic, this movie might warrant another star. That said, although visually gorgeous, the movie just can't escape its literary predecessor. Not only is it a shell of the book, the movie departs from the book in several key and befuddling ways. Perhaps worth a viewing, but those who have read the book may want to skip this.

Love this film! Not only does it tell the classic tale, it does it in a fantastic fashion. Set in a small theater, the story unfolds as if a band of actors is playing out the various parts while the setting of the story is confined, but not limited to, the actual theater. It's definitely a brilliant film with the most superb settings and costumes. And boy, what a stunning cast. Excellent. Highly recommended.

Very different approach to this play. Hard to follow the stream of conciousness at the beginning, but gets better as you go along.

It is always a pleasure to watch Keira Knightly and this movie provides an excellent forum to display her charms.

I feel that this version of Anna Karenina is better then most of the historical ones. Easier to watch and funnier.
