    Great Antenna

This antenna was easy to assemble and picks up way more channels than our previous antenna. We live in an area where we would lose certain channels during the summer months, we assumed due to foliage and humidity. Not only do we get all of the channels during the summer with this antenna, we get channels we never got before. The antenna doesn't need a power supply, so it was easy to put in the attic for optimal reception. The only minor complaint is it was a little hard to attach the coaxial cable to the antenna due to the weatherproof molding; however, once it's attached, you shouldn't have to mess with it again.

Took me around an hour to install. Hooked right up although directions were a little vague. From the moment I plugged it in the antenna picked up at least 30 high quality channels. There was no fiddling around pointing it in different directions while someone watched the tv hollering out the window. A little more than I planned on spending but the quality product was worth it

    So Far So Good

I picked this up in a effort to see if I could cut the cord from my cable company and so far so go in terms of everything coming in clear. I went with the 2V over the 4V because I felt I didn't need the range living in a more urban area closer to the broadcast towers. I have the antenna running from my roof with about 60ft of cable to a splitter that takes it to 3 TV's in the house (adding another 10-30ft of cable length) and no major issues and without the need for an amplifier. All of the major networks come in great, I did lose some of the 2nd tier networks from some of the outlining areas that had picked up when I had the antenna directly wired to the TV. They are networks that are not carried by cable so I'm not losing anything that I had before. I use the antenna with a Hulu and Netflix subscriptions and am not missing out on too much from what I was watching before.

I returned two other expensive antennas up other stores that didn't work well for me before I finally purchased this one. The cost made me hesitate. Best money I ever spent. I get over 45 channels with it. I don't need to move it to pull in any channels. It pulled in perfect signal instantly while being mounted in same place as antennas I returned. If you want an excellent hassle free antenna buy one of these. Weather doesn't effect my tv anymore.

I mounted this outside to ensure signals were easily and clearly received. It works far better than I expected. Picture is crystal clear and I now get tons of free channels. A quick visit to the FCC's DTV website will help you determine channels available in your area and the best direction to point your antenna to receive them. Set up was a breeze and this is a very sturdy product that I suspect will last a long time.

This Antenna is much better than I expected. It was very easy to install. I get way more channels than I ever did before with a large bulky antenna. Everything comes in crystal clear. I live over 50 miles away from some of the signals and they come in perfectly. I have already recommended this product to friends!

I bought this for my mom who is in a small town in the Florida panhandle where DISH is the only choice and she does not like DISH. Her giant antenna on the roof only brought in 2-3 channels and you have to get on roof to adjust. This is much smaller and mounted on a post pointing toward Panama City and she now gets 6-10 channels! It is a little tricky to get pointed in the best direction and weather, as expected, affects which channels she can get at any given time but this is a HUGE improvement over the dinosaur antenna.

I dropped my digital service provider to save money and now I get my main network programs, plus quite a few extras, via digital antenna. The picture is perfect! Virtually no difference from my paid service. The only hang up is finding the right place in the room to get all of the channels. I found near a window worked best. This antenna replaced a less expensive version that I returned to Best Buy. I ended up using a smart remote on my phone by Peel to see daily programming for all of the available channels. The antenna has blended into our living room as a conversation piece for some but we found a nice place where it does not create too much of a decor distraction. Not sure how it would fair outside in the elements. Hopefully some other reviewer can provide input on that feature.

I tried the Terk Omnidirectional unit based on a BB employee's recommendation while I was in the store even though I was there for the ClearStream 2V. I got both and thought if I could get away with using the Terk since it was easier and cheaper, great. Unfortunately that wasn't the case. After 2 nights of messing with the Terk and not getting the results I wanted, including putting it up in my attic, I swapped it out for the ClearStream 2V in the same spot up in the attic and immediately got 54 channels (compared to 32 on the Terk) and all of the Network ones in 97% or better signal strength according to my tuner. I'm 16 miles from the broadcast towers in Portland and according to one of the Google Map overlayed sites I found, in green territory for all the channels. I have this hooked up to a Homerun HD unit and it feeds my entire house with over the air TV now. A bit on the spendy side, however still less than what most people spend on their MONTHLY cable bill. Very happy with it.

Wish I would have spent the money on this antenna first, instead of trying all those flimsey cheep ones. Works great. Get 30 channels more than with others. Wish they had one with a radio connection for when I work in the mountains in the summer.

I have read a lot of reviews and was very concerned about the performance. I did buy a Mohu Leaf 50 and it did well but best reception was when I held it outside. I had to turn and flip the antenna to get all the channels that I did want and had to move based on which ones I wanted to get. Ok, not fun when settling to watch our favorite shows. Sooooo....took it back and got this one. It performed fairly well on the back porch but performed the best in the attic. (Live in two story townhouse) I was able to hang in the rafters and find several positions that worked to get maximum channels. After running the channel search, I got multiples of network stations which was great since they show slightly different programming. Easy to install and tapped into the coax that was already run for cable. Channels are very clear (some interference from time to time on a couple channels) and steady. We get enough programming and movies that we really do not need cable. Do miss some of the news channels but it is probably better for my health. I have read peoples issues with it but I have not had any problem. Good luck.

Great buy, just wish I'd purchased it earlier. The HD that's received over the Clearstream seems to be a higher clarity over the cable or satellite, guess those guys have a higher compression ratio on the signal, not sure. I'm in the Atlanta area and I've got the antenna mounted in the attic and I'm about 30 miles from the source and still pulls in around 18 channels. The antenna assembles in minutes, very easy to do. Solid construction and easy to follow instructions, not that you'll need them. It even comes with tar strips in case you want to mount the unit on top of your shingle roof. If you're thinking about ditching your cable or satellite company, this will do a great job, haven't even missed it!

I live by Lake Michigan, between Milwaukee and Chicago. TV signals are about 32 (Milwaukee) and 53 (Chicago) miles away. I oriented the antenna towards Milwaukee. Chicago is exactly the opposite the way, but I still get some channels from the windy city. I get all HDTV channels from Milwaukee crystal clear. I get ABC, CBS, Fox, NBC, PBS, MeTV, Bounce, Movies!, ION, qubo, ThisTV, LWNet, CW18, My24, Zuus Country, Telemundo, Univision, TeleWI, several weather channels, a couple of tv shopping channels, a couple of religious, channels, and more... I got a tv signal booster to get more Chicago channels. I helps with some, but other are still pixeled or can be seen only in good days. I don´t think I can expect miracles though. The antenna is indoors on a second floor. Not sure if results would be even better if installed outdoors. Use TV Fool web site to figure out what to expect in your location. http://www.tvfool.com/index.php?option=com_wrapper&Itemid=29 You only need to enter zip code. Click on "Find Local Channels", and you get all the info: distance, orientation, signal quality and the such. I am very happy with this product. I think the end of cable/satellite tv as we know it is approaching. More digital channels will be added in the following years. I have a fast Internet connection and use Netflix for additional programming for my kids. Needless to say, the savings are unbelievable. By the way, they gave me the Best Buy online price at the store (considerably cheaper). Just mention it, and they will give it to you.

I was looking for an indoor antenna that is reliable and easy to assemble. The clear stream antenna demonstrate reliability and ease of use. Reception is clear however, I did not get the number of channels most people are talking about. There could be a lot of reasons including location and the distance from the nearest tower. Ocassional drop of signal is also noted but tolerable. This is still a good indoor antenna. I would recommend it.

As with all antennas, performance will vary from location to location, so I can only report that it performs well for me. I conducted trials with this model and several of the flat antennas (amplified and not) also sold by Best Buy. This model gave me the most reliable reception and the most channels. I also saved a lot of money by making an open-box purchase. As there are no moving parts, there’s not a lot that can go wrong, and probably most of the open boxes are from people who brought it home, tried it once, and weren’t happy with the reception.

My TV is not really near a window so my antenna is placed around 6-8 feet away. It works well but be warned - it's not a subtle device. It is big, bulky and ugly. I tend to hide it under a table when I'm not watching that TV. But, it does pull in the channels where the amplified Leaf could not.

Bought this antenna after trying a smaller unit meant to be mounted indoors, the indoor antenna barely picked up any channels, perhaps because of its location. I bought the v2, mounted it inside up high on one of my walls. It works great, no problems. I would give it 5 stars however i am unable to pick up fox and cbs (possibly due to antenna position. Also somewhat large for indoor mounting. But, all channels this antenna does pick up come in great!

This antenna is very easy to install (directly to TV) and works great. We do not have cable or any other TV service. We stream TV through our internet and this antenna receives all the local stations and then some. The reception is clear and easy. Much better than the $25 antenna we started with. And, we will hopefully get it connected outside and tied into multiple TVs in the near future. Great for getting your local channels.

It's not pretty to look at, little unwieldy, no mounting hardware or coax cable but the thing works. I live in Karns, TN and it easily picks up 25+ stations just pointed at Sharps Ridge. It's directional so ideally I'd need 3 maybe 4 to point at all the antenna locations. Picture quality looks better than cable.

This antenna was the best by far! I tried all the other antennas and this gave the best reception out of all of them. The other brands and smaller versions from this company kept having pixelation issues on most channels even tho I live 2 miles from a broadcast tower. Now I get clear HD quality channels without pixelation on 2,4,5,7. It also gets a lot of other HD quality channels too. Happy to say I finally found an antenna that works. Only downside is that it's pretty big. I just hide it behind the TV. #wecutthecord #nomorebigcablebills
