We bought this to avoid paying cable or dish fees. It gives us the channels

The antenna works great. I did not give it 5 stars because the mounting bracket does not come with it. The bracket has to be ordered separately and it is not sold by Best Buy.

For the size, you would think it would pickup more stations compared To the small antennas.

Best antenna for ota. Picks up 60 channels from west side of Slc.

Free is not always good, especially if you don't need it or want it. Because your want's an needs are always changing. After watching several cable providers always running promotions to generate new customers but never doing a price reduction for those of us who faithfully pay are bills ever month year after year. I decided I wanted free.

Had to get it up pretty high to get the reception that our old TV antenna gave us. We lose channel 22 about 8;00 to 8;30 every morning because they cut there over the air transmission power. That is supposed to be against the Law.

Matched the product description very well. Easy to assemble but there was absolutely no TV reception in our area.

I am in north central Indiana and about 75 - 80 miles from any broadcast tower north and south. I have been receiving OTA channels for about a year now using the Antennacraft UBU55 UHF / VHF combo antenna and picked up about 24 channels from Indianapolis. On a very clear night I would sometimes get stations from as far away as Chicago but these would quickly go away when it was cloudy. I started my search for a stronger UHF antenna and ended up purchasing the Antenna Direct DB8e based on reviews posted online. It was very easy to assemble and install. I stacked this antenna with my UBU55 and it is about 40 ft up on the tower. Now for the best part. On the day I installed this antenna it was a very cloudy and gloomy day and was drizzling rain. After the install was complete I performed a channel scan for the first time. Here is the best part. After the scan I was very amazed that I picked up 30+ channels from Northern Indiana (the direction the DB8e antenna was pointing). These channels have a very strong signal and 90% of them are in HD. Cable and satellite can not touch the picture quality OTA provides. All of these stations are 75 - 80 miles from my location and the DB8e pulls them in as if they were next door. The DB8e antenna has been in use for about 3 days now and I still have no loss in signal. I am very impressed with this antenna and I will be ordering another one to replace the UBU55 all together so I can have one pointed north and one pointed south. A year ago I was paying over $100.00 for satellite tv. Now I have all the stations I need and they are absolutely free. So if you are wanting to cut the satellite or cable tv cord then you can not go wrong purchasing this antenna. It rocks.

This product is not as good as the one I threw away. my old one of 23 years had better pull then this one better then rabbit ears but not by much

It's a pain to set up. plus you have to buy an extra piece to attach it to the roof. don't buy it

The antenna I received was assembled backwards so all directions were incorrect, I had to return it the same day. Couldn't even test it out
