So, I hoped for great, I got ok. At least for the antenna I needed. Set-up was quick and easy. And it is really thin. Works great attaching to a window. While my fairly new Samsung Smart TV registered 20+ channels, only 3 or 4 actually can be watched without annoying signal loss. I question the 55 mile range, but how do you really know for sure? I am in the burbs, lots of trees, but no tall buildings. 55 miles range should have worked, based upon the online OTA channel guides. I also could spin my house around, so my family room windows face a different direction.
My suggestion is that if you cannot mount the antenna to face the direction of the desired TV towers, then get a much longer range antenna than distance indicates

Cable and dish free for over a decade. Rabbit ears worked just fine. I live in town and recently CBS affiliate and PBS station signals kept dropping or freezing. New ANTOP antenna has greatly improved reception and decreased (but not completely stopped) to problem. Easy to set up. Better looking than the rabbit ears and aluminum foil. Improved reception. Didn't have to get on the roof.

Picks up local channels however this is not omnidirectional. By turning or adjusting you can get different channels based on where the towers are in your area. The channels are clear. Some are clearer than our regular cable. Shipping was super slow.

All the local channels come in clear. So small it's hardly noticable.
