In my opinion, as a movie fan and also being a forever fan of Actor Al Pacino, and sports enthusiasts, this was a great movie. I personally think that it was realistic and quite instructional for the youth of today.O

A good deal I found while shopping. Love the Blu-ray for my movie collection, and this is a special edition too. Excited to watch it!

One of my all time favorite football movies. The cast is filled with some of today's biggest actors & actresses. Interesting film from beginning to end.

This gritty look at real life as a professional football player engages rhe audience into the horrors these athletes subject themselves to for our amusement. Great script, amazing actors, and thrilling action. Great movie, and at $3.99 you should give it a try if you've never seen it.

Al Pacino as the coach of a team full of miscreants and second stringers trying to make the playoffs. Old school look at inside football, pre CTE era.

Oliver Stone’s Any Given Sunday is now 15 years old and this newly released Special Edition Blu-ray just bleeds off the screen. Featuring a supremely aggressive audio/visual package, this is totally-in-your-face filmmaking at all times. Hurtling, stylized, frenzied cinematography from Salvatore Totino that shakes the senses. The hyperactive yet still lucid editing is in perfect tandem with the over the top subject material and everything is played at just the right tone and pitch. The eclectic musical score compliments every wild and crazy scene. Al Pacino is at his Shouting-Mad best here, and he gets some seriously good dialogue from John Logan and Stone; his “inches” locker room speech is one for the ages. Stone brought major directorial intensity to each and every scene in this scathing indictment of professional football; in retrospect this film feels very ahead of its time. The cold, cynical message this film purveys is still relevant and topical. The absurdly deep cast all deliver deeply committed performances; standouts are an icy Cameron Diaz, a perfectly weathered Dennis Quaid, sleazy James Woods pushing pain killers on the players, and of course, the flashy and confident work of then-acting-newcomer Jamie Foxx, who holds his own with all of the veteran actors, and does a lot on his own with his arrogant, show-boating character. The sequence where he has dinner with Pacino and the chariot race from Ben-Hur is playing in the background is still one of my favorite scenes in any film. And let’s not forget about the in-credits stinger – so nasty! Great football action, sharp satire, fantastic visuals, and dynamite sound design help make this one of the best sports movies of all time.

Was able to get this in store for $4. Such a great deal for such a classic movie. It pays to check the bins!

Good all around football movie. Touches on steroids use and money and how serious a business football is.

It's a great movie with great actors and it's a must buy. Once I saw how cheap it was I had to buy!

I had hopes for this one due to the fact Al Pacino was in it as the head coach. His part was good and he did well in it. Other than that, the movie was laden with F bombs, drug use, profanity every few seconds it seemed, nudity I did not want to see for a sports movie of this kind. This is not a good one to see about a football team. There are so many other ones that are better. Do your research. Even Cameron Diaz uses the F word like it's a normal daily word use. Not a fan of her, overall. I would not recommend this one.
