The monitor is OK, but the built in speakers are terrible. They are so bad that I could not understand what was being said. I almost returned the monitor but ended up buying separate speakers.instead.

Great picture quality, but one of the backlights burnt out in less than a week. If you want this for sound look elsewhere. The built in speakers are barely good enough for system sounds

Not 4k but good deal for the product. I love the slim edge that it has. I do have buyers remorse however because several other brands and types like this monitor were recently discounted below what I paid after I made the purchase :(

I was not all that impressed with this monitor and wound up taking it back for a refund. It worked like it should but I really wanted a 1440p monitor instead. Sadly BB is not really up to speed yet on better quality monitors.

I read about this monitor on the engadget blog. It looked pretty attractive and the article pointed me to the $300 bestbuy-only deal. When I checked this site, I was able to snag it for $269! Looks like it's back up to 300 though :-( Anyway, some of the press releases say this monitor is "border-less". That is not true. The border is about a half an inch. It's relatively thin, but very much there. I must say this is a VERY attractive monitor and seems to be high quality in its construction. The LCD is clear and crisp with good colors and excellent viewing angles. With the 1920x1080 resolution spread across a massive 27 inches, the pixel density is not very high, and pixelation is noticeable up close. You can fit two large browser windows side-by-side comfortably, but for some people, 1080p may not offer the extra screen real estate you would hope for on a 27-inch display. It's worth pointing out that higher resolution 27-inchers (such as apple's thunderbolt display) are SIGNIFICANTLY more expensive (as in 800-1000 dollars). The monitor has integrated speakers. I plugged my audio cable into the monitor, took a listen, and vowed to never do that again. To be blunt they are atrocious and didn't even rival the built-in speakers in my macbook pro. Not a big deal to me, bit for those interested in using this monitor for sound output, it likely wont do. The touch sensitive buttons are fine. They are a little difficult to use but you wont need to use them much past the initial setup, and after that they are quite attractive and unobtrusive. In short I am thrilled with the value. There are nicer monitors to be had, but not near this price point. Buy one now!

Bought on sale for $159.99, works great my only complaint is that it's a bit wobbly on the stand and the speakers that are built in are very weak and poor sounding but I am using external speakers anyhow.

I've owned this monitor for about a week-and-a-half now and have been using it heavily each day for work and also a substantial amount for personal use, mostly using Office, web browsing, and photo editing. The fact that this was awarded a PCMAG Editor's Choice award, along with the great reviews on Best Buy's site, influenced my decision to purchase. For this price, it's virtually impossible to find a comparable 27" IPS monitor, let alone one that's received good reviews. I was able to pick it up at $269.99 from my local Best Buy. Occasionally you might find a different brand coming up for sale for around $20 less at the absolute lowest, but typically those products look inferior to this AOC. The size is fantastic. Many people believe at 27" screen isn't good for day-to-day use and that a 1,920 by 1,080 resolution isn't enough for this screen size. That all depends. The resolution may not work well for you if you plan on sitting only a foot or so away. For my use, I have the monitor close to the back of my desk so I'm probably 2 or 2 1/2 feet away most of the time. At this distance it looks great to me. Plenty sharp. I have an older video card, so I'm using a DVI to HDMI conversion cable. I docked the features rating slightly for the reason that it doesn't have DVI connections built-in, but the conversion cable was only $7, so it's pretty minor. I would absolutely not use a VGA cable. VGA connections always look terrible and fuzzy to me, even on substantially smaller screens. To me it looks better than my 15.6" laptop screen with a 1,366 by 768 resolution since you typically sit much closer to a laptop of that size. The alternative would be to shell out for a 27" model 2,560 by 1,440 resolution, but those models are usually at least 2.5X the price at close to $700 and up. It's individual preference on whether or not you need the extra screen real estate those additional pixels provide, but I find I can get plenty on the screen at this standard HD resolution. My particular monitor doesn't have any dead or lit pixels, which I'm extremely happy about since I've had that problem in the past with an old monitor. Hopefully none develop over time. The styling is great. There's about a 1/2" bezel around the edge which isn't bad at all when you consider the price point. The power supply is external which may or may not matter to some. I haven't tried the built-in speakers, but most built-ins probably sound like laptop speakers at best. In terms of usability, it comes with software called i-Menu that lets you adjust monitor settings rather than using the buttons on the monitor to navigate. The buttons on the monitor are fine but navigating through menus that way (with any monitor) can be tedious, so I've enjoyed using i-Menu instead. As with most IPS screens, the viewing angle and color is excellent. In my use, black levels have been good too. Really, I have no complaints. The stand is perhaps the weakest point, but for it to be sturdier it would have to be larger and bulkier as well, so there's a trade-off. It's an excellent purchase and I've been extremely happy with it.

This monitor had a green tint that is hard to adjust. However I don't see any blur in fast moving games. The additional warranty is cheap. So I am looking at 4 years worry free ownership for under $200

I read plenty of reviews of this and the asua 27" with b and o audio. Went with this one. Screen bleeds a little to much so returned it and got the asus because it went on sale and was the same price.

Bought the TV for my Dad who is hard of hearing. The sound is not as good of quality than the previous television. I will have to purchase speakers so my Dad can hear.

Doesnt display netflix with imac. Not compatible. No fix stated. Display looks great next to my 27" imac. Wish it was a bit taller and offered more ports.

Very wide viewing angle, no motion blurring, crisps contrast... but Unfortunately, the monitor I picked up at Best Buy had a defect. In the top left corner of the screen, there was an approx. 4x4cm gray square without color or adequate lumination. Otherwise, i would have given it 4 or even 5 stars provided it last long enough. Maybe just bad luck, as I didn't see this as a common problem for this model.

It's worth every penny. On sale right now for 250, and honestly is the biggest bang for the buck. Sharp high quality picture, matte finish (which was a must for me), and has 2 HDMI inputs and a built-in speaker. Granted, the sound quality is lacking, but considering none of the other similarly sized or priced monitors had speakers at all, it'll do until I get some desktop ones.
