Bought one of these from Best Buy 3/6/16 for my better half to use in editing photographs. She loves it. She indicates it is spot on when comparing photographs with the real thing and she is VERY color sensitive. For a 27 inch IPS monitor this is dirt cheap. I connected it via VGA. It also has 2 HDMI ports. No DVI so an adaptor/cable is necessary to connect to DVI on PC to HDMI on this monitor. Very easy to install using WIN10 (used driver in WIN10). Did not use driver on included cd (had older date so??). Printed out manual to use the on monitor controls. The controls are on the lower right front of the monitor appear to be touch sensitive spots (?) there are no buttons per se. DEFINITELY Recommend this monitor unless you need something faster for gaming. Absolutely no problems so far. Used free shipping offer.

Love this monitor. Love the fact that it has 2 HDMI inputs and a 3.5mm audio in and out ports. Was looking for a extended display monitor for my laptop and a gaming monitor. Original had a standard LED monitor but wasn't satisfied with the picture and decided I wanted an IPS monitor. Got this one due to its low input lag and the fact it held its own when tested against upper professional monitors such as the BenQ XL2420T and Samsung 2233RZ all of which have 120Hz refresh rates as compared to the AOC's 60Hz. The design of this monitor is so amazing and so is the picture. The only downsides I see to this monitor, one not with the product its self, are sound, which doesn't bother me since i have my own speakers, and size. The size is perfect if was my primary monitor but it isn't. I an ideal size would be a 23" or 24" but that has to do with AOC this product series not the product itself.

These monitors look very nice and resolution is great. I was a little concerned about that at first but they look great. Quality of the build is not so great. Mostly plastic and the stand is not so strong in terms of moving the monitors into perfect position. I bought 2 and have them next to each other. They wobble slightly sideways so I haven't been able to position them perfectly. Aside from this the power button is a touch sensor and on one of them it has a hard time turning off. Turns on fine though. One downfall is that I wanted to get a monitor mounting arm but these do not have the mounting screws on the back. The price was great at the time I purchased them. I had them delivered and it seems BestBuy is not the store you want to deliver things to you. They promised one date and when I called they said I might receive them a month later. It had also happened to a friend of mine.

I have not been able to use this product since it is not very apparent how to power on this screen. It is not simply hook up and switch on like other monitors,.....unless i'm missing something.

I took this to replace a 24" Samsung that died after 7 days and I am extremely pleased with it. The color and response times are excellent for a monitor in this price range and it is very attractive, matching my other components quite well. It comes with two small rear facing speakers with limited response but I use a Bose sound system and turned them off right away. Set up was easy using HDMI (there are two inputs) but the on screen feature and mode adjustments are confusing. Naturally there is no paper instruction manual included (just charge ten cents more and put a copy in the box) but you can go to AOC and read it online. For daily use, "moderate gaming" and watching movies I can't fault it at all.

Bought this monitor about a year ago, worth every penny. Was trying to decide on this or a TV for a bigger display and ended up with this. The color quality and viewing angles are great as you'd expect from an IPS monitor and it's just the right size for a desk or small bedroom. The stand feels a bit flimsy at first, but it's held up fine. The refresh rate is only 60Hz, which is fine for a majority of things. If you're into hardcore gaming, you may want to look into a 144Hz monitor, but expect to pay a lot more for a good one.

After one year it just stopped from working. During the past year, it constants flashed black screen. I'm used to it and how can it be soooo bad???

This monitor was ok for video. However, text was jagged and blurred. Not good for my older eyes!

It astounds me that I can be a display this good for this price. This monitor is exceptional. Great viewing angles, incredibly vivid and sharp. I love looking at it. Additionally, the design of the monitor is, well, cool. I love the brushed aluminum base and area below the screen. It really looks slick. I also like how low profile this is for a 27" screen. The bezel-less design is cool but don't expect the IMAGE to run all the way to the edge of the screen. As another reviewer remarked, there's a half-inch black border around the image. It looks a little trippy initially though you quickly forget about it. It looks like it *should* go all the way to the border, but apparently not. Anyway, great screen, great price. I'm happy.

Overall you can't beat it for the price. While ideally it would be wqhd at this size, 1080p is still good enough for a 27" monitor for a third of the price. Almost everything can be scaled down with settings on your computer to make the screen more usable for multitasking while still remaining sharp enough. If you're going for multitasking though, 2 23" monitors can be had for the same price and offer much better multitasking capabilities. After only a few minutes I was able to get the colors to match my second monitor by just tweaking them in the OSD. No DVI input forces me to use a DVI to HDMI adapter unless I buy a skinny ended hdmi cable, as my graphics card's hdmi output is too close to a metal lip to allow it to plug in. If you use VGA on this monitor you wasted your money. I haven't tried the speakers, but if you're spending almost $300 on a monitor just pick up a $30 set of speakers and they will always outperform the monitor's. Some reviews made me think I'd regret the 1080p on a 27" but it is good enough for me. I only notice it if I think about it, otherwise everything looks good. BF3 looks great, and because it's only 1080 I don't need a $400 graphics card or SLI to run it.

I bought my first one a year ago and was amazed by how clear and crisp the picture was on such a HUGE screen! I run with dual monitors, and my second one (an older, smaller HP) just looks so sad next to the AOC. I love the look, it has an auto on/off feature than has never failed. The touch controls are very responsive. I can't wait for #2 to come in! This monitor is worth every penny.

Great purchase. Best price for the size. Looks great, good picture. I have 2 for my duel set up. Probably will be buying a third.

Pretty much has been said about the other reviews which are all positive save for the built-in speakers. But I'd like to point out that the two HDMI ports is a hidden gem. I use primarily a Kangaroo mini-desktop PC which is Atom based. With the other port I can connect my laptop for computing power or connecting another media streaming device such as a Roku. This has not been emphasized. So 'nuff said.

i got monitor after owning a 23" acer for 5 years. this was one of the only IPS displays at best buy and for the $299, it was a great deal. i had two certificates from best buy, so i paid $258 for it, and the price dropped by $30, so i only paid $225 for a monitor that should cost easily double that. this is by the far the display ive ever seen. AOC is a great company. the only reason i bought it was because of the great reviews here, and this monitor deserves one more good rating.

Screen size, resolution and color/light output is great for multiple windows.

This monitor looks fantastic. The picture opened my eyes to a whole world of possibilities that I'd never seen with my Samsung T240HD. In fact, the picture is so good that it makes my computer seem faster! The one con: When I tried HDMI to connect the monitor, I ended up with black bars around the picture, and a picture that was sub-par. I'm sure there are ways to fix that with NVidia, etc. as the other reviewers have pointed out. But I couldn't find a way to fix it with my graphics card. So I ended up with an old-fashioned VGA cable. Also, the speakers are weak. You'll need to turn the volume all the way up.

I was worried about Aoc, never owning their products before. This is a just amazing. The design is great, the colors and sharpness and perfect. The only thing is Bestbuy is wrong on the contrast ratio, its 20mil to 1, not 50 mil to one.

I decided to get this monitor after comparing to few others one of those was a samsung(which is my favorite brand) , was reading costumer reviews some people were complaining about cheap quality and all other things, so people DO NOT GET DISCOURAGED about bad reviews. I'm a big PC gaming fan and I'm so satisfied with preformanses of this monitor, fast, great picture quality all together, everything is great. Besides all of that I love the way it looks its a good quality(aluminum)design is 10 out of 10. I'm not a fan of monitors with built it speakers but this ones are invisible so it doesn't effect the design and speakers are decent.

I've owned this monitor for about a year now. Even a year later I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again. For the price, it's a great monitor. Picture is amazing, design is great and matches Mac products very well. I've had no issues in the year I've owned it. No dead pixels, no artifacts, no major light bleeding, it's just been solid. No major extra features to speak of, it's just a beautiful, no frills HD, IPS monitor that does the job. My only minor gripe is a lack of DVI port, but I knew that going in. Not a huge deal, but it would move this monitor from great to amazing to have another connection type.

I don't write many reviews so this gives you an idea of how great this monitor is off the bat. I've been shopping around for a large screen IPS monitor for the last month when I found this one. I then went home and read the reviews, paying particular attention to photography website reviews and after seeing their endorsements went down to pick it up. My photographs appear much sharper, text is fantastic for reading Kindle books and also for writing code. Bottom line is that everything displayed has much higher image quality across the board. The only thing left is to get a Spider image calibration tool and I'm set. Could not be happier or more satisfied with a purchase. Only downside is no VESA mount or DVI or Displayport connectors.
