I have this monitor with my gaming PC set at 2560 x 1440 WQHD resolution or 1440p. It looks and performs very nicely with HD movies and video games. I'm using this monitor with XFX - AMD Radeon R7 360 2GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 Graphics. and a HDMI cable.

Good monitor, good price

When I saw this monitor at the low price it was offered at (and with favorable reviews coming in,) I decided to go pick on eup to replace my 22" 1680x1050 monitor.
Setup was simple. The system automatically detects the connection used. The one thing that threw me initially was that there was no DVI connection - just one VGA and two HDMI. Fortunately my video card - like many from the last several years - does have HDMI out, or I'd have to have found a DVI to HDMI adaptor.
I was starting to see flickering - sometimes occasional, sometimes fairly often - from the monitor. It turned out to be interference from the HDMI cable running too close to its own power brick - so be aware you'll have to be sure they have space. Since separating them a bit more, the monitor's been fine.

Great Monitor for the price! I use this monitor for photo/video editing and connect it to my laptop via HDMI cable. AOC Manual and customer service are not the best.

Great Value to Cost to Quality w/ a Caveat

Before anyone says you should have realized this was only 1920x1080 before purchasing it, let me indicate that I did realize the resolution. I also went to the store to examine it before the purchase. The following is just from an Apple products owner who has become accustomed to Retina displays on an iPad and iPhone, as well as the gorgeous non-retina displays on an iMac and MacBook Pro. My review is not meant to dissuade from purchasing, but is simply from my perspective.
The pros are most definitely the value for the price and overall design. An IPS display at 27" with good brightness and contrast at this price is a great value. Color reproduction, the depth of black, and even the brightness of the whites are all great from my perspective. I really love the value. I also really love the display's crispness in terms of comparing it to my previous 23 inch display from Acer. It is a step up even though it is technically a decrease in ppi. For those accustomed to the typical monitor this monitor is a really nice monitor. And the look with the slim bezel and the "brushed aluminum" appearance is gorgeous. It is almost as if this monitor's design was targeting Apple users as the look blends well with my MacBook Pro. Overall, this is a really nice monitor for the price.
The biggest con for me is pretty exclusive to me. The pixels per inch on this monitor work out to around 81/82. My old monitor was 95. My iMac is 102, and my MacBook Pro is 110. My MacBook is my primary system so when using this monitor I drop almost 30 points of pixel density per inch. Of course, when compared to my iPhone and retina iPad the difference is even more staggering. The reality is that going between my "i" products screens and MacBook to this screen makes everything just seem less sharp. I had never owned a 27" monitor at this resolution as this is my first 27". And I have now used it for a couple of weeks to see if I could acclimate. It still seems fuzzy to me.
My only other complaint is that the base design seems fragile. For the price though I cannot complain too much.
Overall this is a great value for the cost. Just know that the 1920 x 1080 over 27" is really jarring for text and such if you are used to better resolutions on your other products. But for most this is probably not a problem so I would still really recommend it.

IPS monitor with a non reflective coating was the selling point for me. I wanted it to have speakers, but unfortunately, the speakers suck so bad.

Aesthetics - very beautiful monitor, the outer frame is barely 10mm and the silver aluminum finish at the bottom looks great. The base is the same metal finish and looks far better than the black plastic finish that other products carry.
Display - very sharp, bright and clear.
Control Menu - very elaborate control menu, reasonably user friendly.
Connectivity - 2 HDMI, 1 VGA

I am going from a 24" to a 27". The picture is nice and sharp on it. Doesn't have any bleeding or fading. I am not using the speakers on it, so I can't speak for them. My only complaint is that I wish there was an adjustment to tilt back a little. I made my own little feet (you can buy them anywhere I got some on amazon for something luckily) from sticker bumper pads to protect furniture on the bottom on the fronts to make it slightly tilt back.

I had been looking for a monitor for a while, then I went to Best Buy yesterday and decided it was time and this is what I settled on. I took it out of the box and it was very easy to setup, only one screw to hook the monitor to the stand, super simple, then I plugged it in, and it was setup, super easy, and it is absolutely beautiful, even better in home than in store. This monitor is truly a piece of art, and better yet, it sits next to my mid 2010 21.5" iMac at home and the top of each computer are aligned nearly perfectly, that is a feature I had been looking for, for a very long time with no luck, so this was a nice surprise to find this out about this monitor. It is worth the price, and being that it is $30 off right now, you defiantly need this monitor!

.... I am delighted with this purchase! Thrilled. Took all of five minutes to set up and the colors are absolutely brilliant. I use it with my mac book pro as a second monitor -- and am so so grateful I didn't purchase the Apple Thunderbolt for $999. If someone can find fault with picture/pixels in this screen they've got far too much time on their hands. For a buck sixty nine, on sale I almost feel guilty. Almost.

The AOC monitor has a beautiful display, sharp and clear. The controls could use a little improvement, but once the monitor is setup you never have to use them.

Great 'Daily Driver' Monitor

This is my primary day-in-day-out monitor and I love it, small borders, great colors and fast response are perfect for both work and gaming.
In fact, I'm ordering a second one today to have dual-monitors.
The sound is not the greatest, but to be honest, I've not ever particularly enjoyed the sound from HDMI connected monitors.

horrible speakers

The image from the monitor is pretty good, however the speakers that come with it are absolutely horrible, they are pretty much comparable to an iphone speaker....if you are like me wanting to use this for PS4 gaming monitor and use the onboard speakers than do look elsewhere. The image is comparable to almost every other monitor out there but for 169.99 the 27inch size might be a bit of a waste when the reason i bought it was for the speakers.

Great monitor with a slight quirk

I bought this monitor to extend my 27" iMac which I also use as a monitor. When it arrived I liked the monitor so much I sold the iMac to buy a second one of these! The resolution is not as high but the bezel is so thin (Maybe a third of an inch tops) that 2 of them side by side would look great. Especially compared to an iMac display with a 1 inch bezel. The picture quality is very good. It has 2 HDMI and 1 VGA inputs. If you run your computers output through the HDMI it will put black bars on the sides of the screen and try to shrink the video. I havent found a way to correct that yet even with installing the drivers. I have just been using it over vga which works fine. My only real complaint about the monitor though is that when windows is booting and it goes from the windows loading screen to the desktop and the screen turns black for a second, the monitor trys to auto adjust the picture and ends up being way off to the left almost every time. I then have to go into settings and manually set it back. There could be a way to shut that feature off I just havent found it yet. Also the included software is not very useful and actually defaults its language on one of the programs to japanese. It also threw my color settings off and made windows photo viewer tint everything yellow. Just install the monitor driver (which you need to make it show the highest resolutions) and everything else can be better calibrated through windows and your graphics driver.

I purchased this monitor back in January. The best thing about the monitor for me is the different view angles. the picture looks almost the same when you are looking at the screen from the sides or standing over it. although, most of the time, I'm right in front of the screen. great for gaming. frame rate speed is ridiculous. response time is practically instant. Awesome monitor. I want to buy 2 more for my computer.

Got this monitor on sale to use with my 2016 12" Macbook. The picture is great, but the internal speakers are pretty terrible. I am not an audiophile by any means, yet I can't get over the fact that the sound is so tinny. I'll have to connect a Bluetooth speaker to my Mac when I use this monitor for a desktop setup. If internal speakers are important in your decision, choose another monitor.

Great color, good clarity for 1080p
Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
I've tried other similar 27" monitor and this one provided the best clarity. It's expected that a 27" 1080p would not look as sharp as a 24", but this monitor, unlike framless designs from other brands, still has clear texts and good viewing angles. The colors are expected from an IPS display. 5ms may not be ideal for hardcore gaming, but it still works well despite some ghosting. The design is nice, and a good change of pace from the typical black frames. Although frameless, there is still about a half inch bezel so multiple monitor setup won't be truely seamless. Also the monitors won't line perfectly, as there is a slight taper towards the bottom. The touch sensitive buttons can be hit and miss and there's no VESA mounts. The biggest issue I have is that the monitor colors seems to be a bit inconsistent. I have 2 of these and with the same settings, one seems a bit yellow than the other. I was able to get it close with some fine tuning through my graphic card, but it's annoying that I have to do so.
Pro:
Nice clarity, colors, and viewing angles
Aesthetically pleasing with thin design and no frames
Con:
No VESA
No DVI
Color may be different between multiple monitors
Aligning for multiple monitor is not flushed
