    Wow, very nice monitor

I wanted a dual monitor setup, so I purchased this monitor to use with a monitor that I already have. I couldn't believe the difference. This AOC LED monitor with IPS makes my other model look so dull and bland. The AOC is extremely crisp and vivid. I have it connected from a Display Port on my computer to the HDMI port on the monitor and it works great. In fact, it makes my other monitor look so bad that I am on my way to get another AOC, so they will both look fantastic. I have not used the speakers, so I cannot comment on them.

    Not what I expected

Normally when I see "IPS" advertised I think.. "Great viewing angles, darker blacks, brighter whites. And although this is the case with this monitor, compared to other IPS displays I've used it falls short. Surprisingly short. Me and my fiance did our best to adjust the color and brightness gamut for at least an hour and a half and couldn't figure out why this particular IPS display was so dull in terms of the brightness and color recreation. Its not a 'bad' panel. But if you're playing immersive games or a photo / video editor I'd stay away from this screen. The screen also had a little ghosting and pixel flicker when manipulating photo's and wasn't as sharp as we were expecting (we know the PPI isn't ideal but our 37 inch 1080p TV at the same viewing distance appears sharper. Something is wrong here). Definitely returning this panel.

Great product, decent quality, great price

I use the 27'' monitor with my MacBook Pro 13'' in my university dorm. It's super comfortable to read webpages, emails, e-books, etc. on the big screen. And it's much cheaper than Apple's Thunderbolt display, without any noticeable downgrade in quality. (Note that I'm not a gaming guy; you might or might not run into troubles when you play graphics-intensive games - I simply don't know.)

Best priced IPS especially for photography

It's like, I'm seeing things for the first time. A whole other world of difference from regular LED monitors. It's like night and day. Anyone looking for an IPS type monitor, should look no further. For this price and quality, everyone should have this who can't afford the more expensive IPS monitors especially, if you are in photography and graphic arts! Color is absolutely astounding! White IS white! Dark's are dark. I can't say enough good things about this monitor. I would certainly trust the AOC brand for quality and price. I would NOT think twice!

    Beautiful display

I really love this display, it outputs soooo much better than my old 32 inch tv. Monitors always have better response time and resolution. My tv only would output to 1366 by 768. This monitor outputs to Full 1080. It is a really sleek display and thin. my old tv stuck out a good 4 and a half inches. This monitor is Less than an inch thick! It saves a lot of room on my desktop. Plus with the two HDMI ports, i can hook my PS3 and my desktop up to it at the same time. It works amazingly with my new GTX 660 ti. It came with Assassin's Creed 3 and it was absolutely stunning on this display. The only reason why i didn't give it a 5 star rating on price, was because it was much cheaper about 4 months ago. I think they had it for 249.99. I wanted to kick myself when the sale went away.

Purchased this monitor for the main purpose of viewing and editing photos. This monitor fits the bill. As other reviews stated, the speakers are sub-par, but already had external speakers. There is no glare on the screen and that is what I wanted.

    Really great monitor! :)

This screen is GREAT! My old screen was supposed to be the best of the best, but I hated it - it hurt my eyes - but this screen is just fine. I keep the brightness all the way down to 0. I use it to read text late at night, and view web pages. I couldn't get my old monitor to go down far enough, and actually thought of giving up my computer totally, it hurt my eyes that bad! This monitor is just great! :) Here's something to think about - when I bought my first LCD screen in 2005, I paid $400 for a 19" square screen! This screen is a 27" wide screen, and cost $180! Something to think about... :D ~Cindy! :)

    Good product with One Caveat

This monitor is great. The only caveat I have with it is that the buttons are touch sensors, not physical buttons. While I don't mind touch buttons per-se, unfortunately they aren't always as responsive as they should be. Other than that this is really a great monitor for the price.

I got this monitor to replace my 21.5" monitor. I wanted larger screen to be able to open more documents on screen, mostly for programming. This monitor is good as it gets for $269. Super bright, nice colors, very good viewing angles. Watching HD movies is also nice. This is the best monitor I ever owned. It is worth every penny.

Washed out color and froze pixels

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I tried two of these monitors and can say they are not worth the purchase. The first one had frozen pixels and both had washed out colors. I did a side by side in home comparison with the Acer I ended up purchasing and the colors on the AOC look dull and washed out compared to the Acer. The blacks have a white tinge and the whites are grey haze to them. I tried adjusting the color and all the settings but they didn't come close to the other monitor whtch was $80.00 less. The touch buttons are finicky and the base is wobbly. As much as I wanted to like this monitor more it just didn't happen. I would steer clear of this one.

Yes for single mon, No for dual mon workstation

My new company bought two of these monitors for my AutoCAD workstation. I had planned to mount them to my dual monitor stand but could not. These monitors DO NOT have mounting holes in the back! The biggest gripe is that side-by-side the heights are almost 1/2" different!!! there is no height adjustment so if you want to stretch your AutoCAD image across both monitors you basically can't because they are not even. Oh well, but a the sale price of $169 each you can't beat the deal. At $299, I would definitely go with Samsung or another brand that can be mounted to a monitor stand. I will recommend ONLY as a single monitor but NOT for a dual monitor workstation.

This was my first AOC purchase. I was replacing two side-by-side 22" monitors with this 27". So pleased with it when I got it home, I went back the next day and bought another one. Side-by-side 27", great set-up for software development.

Deep colors. Crisp image. Beautiful design. This monitor shattered my expectations for how good gaming on my PC could look for under $300. 27" is almost too big, but I love it! Only con to me would be the lack of DVI or Displayport inputs :/

    Minor Annoyances; terrible return policy

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

The Good: This AOC 27" IPS monitor has a nice big and bright display. The Annoying: The base (monitor stand) is not stable; causing it to wobble when using the keyboard or mouse. And, since there is no VESA mounting on this model, you're stuck with only using the base. Finally, there is no DVI input; which isn't a deal breaker. I wanted to enjoy this monitor but these annoyances were enough to make me want to return it. The Bad: Best Buy return policy of 15 days. Store #329 wouldn't help me out with a return or exchange because I was 3 days over their policy... or in their words "WAY past the return date". I will learn to like this monitor while I'm doing online shopping at sites other than Best Buy.
