    Due to power fluctuations my router would disconnect and then reconnect. This would cause me to loose my vpn connections. The UPS solved my problem.

    This is always on and gives me peace of mind. It clicks once during a power surge or outage. It gives me time to shut down my electronics so they do not experience a hard shutdown or restart.

    What can I say. When the power goes off my computer does not. I got it on sale for $40. I don't think it is worth full price. I didn't find the specs that much better than some of the lower priced APC models.

    No longer has Ethernet Protection

    I received 20 of these from the onsale price last week of $59 and opened the first one to find that the ports on the side are only for phone line protection. APC has decided to remove ethernet protection from the APC 650. In other words no RJ 45 in out exists on this until, be warned. This port was the one primary reason the APC 350 were 50% the cost of the APC 650, the extra battery time was nice but the ethernet protection is the main component these were bought for by most knowledgeable network people. In my opinion, after reading APC documentation, I got they will not cover your until for surges if they occur thru the network if the network is not protected by their unit, so this unit only partially protects you. For this to work I would have to add the APC 11 to it OR go wireless on my desktops, no thank you.
