This is a good backup for a single computer. I use it to keep my computer from rebooting each time we have a short hiccup in our electric supply - something that happens fairly often for us. Size is more compact than my previous backup power supply for the same amount of power.

I have 6 APC 550VA Battery Back-Up Systems with my Home Business Network. All APC products work great. During their usages I have had numerous power failures for one reason or another. All my APC 550VA Battery Back-Up Systems worked perfectly as advertised and as their specifications stated they would. I have used other Back-Up units in the past and none have performed like my APC units. When the need arises I will own additional APC 550VA Battery Back-Up System Units! I'm very satisfied with this product to date!!!

Not much needs to be said. Set up was easy as usual. Everything works as expected. Hope it lasts as long as the last one.

Nice product for the money! Bought this to provide protection to our camera survalence system, router, switch, phome systems.

I strongly recommend this backup. 90 percent of the time when my power is interrupted it's for a very short time. If you do online banking, online classes or just want to protect your computer from shutting off in the middle of a windows update, which is a very bad thing, I would buy this. I have decided to buy a larger back up because I use a lot of extras on my computer such as scanners, surround speakers, routers and external hard drives. So I need more battery life to support my tasks in process in case of long term power failures. hope this helps, Merle

My original Battery B-UPS battery finally failed after extended years of use. They don't last for ever. I was going to buy another battery when I saw the ad for this upgrade. The price was less than replacing the battery. The shipping was only a buck$. Cheaper than going to the store so I had it delivered. Works as all the APC products I have purchased in the past. Good company and product, great retailer and price. Thank you

This UPS has performed flawlessly for several years, protecting us from blackouts and shutting down the computer for us in an emergency and the battery is draining. It doesn't last super-long or have a meter or display but it does what is needed and provides full regulated power.

This is my second battery backup from APC and it is a great value for the price. It does exactly what they say it will and with the 100 year old wiring in my house I need the voltage control for both spikes and drops in amperage and voltage.

The APC battery backup/surge protector is a must for any home office

Yesterday 11/24/10 was a good test for my new ups . We had 3 power outages throuhout the day and the ups performed perfectly . Unit was easy to install and free shipping was an important factor .

We lost poet while my kids were doing home work and the didn't loose any data.

I actually bought two of this units due to a price drop. So far it's all good. I did not have the time yet to test the backup part...well let me try one of them. I just unplug it and my computer "HP Workstation 8800" is still running.

APC batteries are great. However, the software is a bit flaky and the USB connection on this model is not very good; the cable doesn't have that nice "snap" that assures you the connection is solid.

The fact that this unit connects to the computer and goes through an automatic shut down when power is lost is really neat. It provides enough power for that procedure to occur withoug losing any of your data.

The UPS is used on office PCs and delivers as advertised. The item was on sale and Best Buy had the best price locally and on the Internet. Purchased on the Net and did store pick up. Item was ready and checked out within three minutes of entering store.

This is a replacement for a 450 that lasted for six years. With the price of a replacement battery so high, it was a small jump to get a higher-capacity UPS.

So far, this UPS was worth the money. I haven't actually had to use it yet, but it's set up and ready to go. I only use it for my internet modem and my personal cell tower. I did unplug it and it kept everything running. Hopefully, when the power goes out, I'll still have internet and cell service for a while.

I bought 3 of these for my home office and AV setup. So far I really can't say much other than these just run in the background had have preformed as they are supposed to when the power goes out. They've been in use for about 2 years now with no issues.
