This is the best way to experience this excellent film. Ron Howard's classic movie is one of my favorite films of all time. The 4K transfer is a very good visual presentation that is the best I have ever seen it and a worthwhile upgrade to the standard blu-ray. The Dolby Atmos sound is dynamic sounding with a full punch in the low end, especially when Apollo 13 blasts off!! Great movie and definitely happy with this purchase.

Apollo 13 is a fine film that has earned a solid UHD release. The 2160p/HDR-enhanced presentation is stable, the DTS:X soundtrack launches the audio into another stratosphere, and the included extras on the Blu-ray are enjoyable. Highly recommended.

You can’t really go wrong with Apollo 13 and I’m 4k, it’s pretty amazing. It was also priced right!

This is a great movie that tells a true story about a few astronauts who had a mission to go to the moon, but had some serious mechanical issues with the space shuttle. Don't want to give out too many spoilers, but great movie overall.

Very Good Movie on 4K Blu-ray is a good deal that I cannot pass up.

This is one of those movies that when on TV I would watch every time. This movie is fantastic. I finally decided to buy it, as I’m a fan of the better audio/video associated with Blu-ray and 4K. Just buy it!!

If you like this movie, the 4k version is really nice to have. Just keep in mind that the movie was not shot in super high def, same for the sound, but the transfer is still very good.

"Apollo 13" does not disappoint. What could have been a sad part of history is greatly acted out, and you can almost experience what these 3 brave astronauts went thru while in space trying to remedy whatever it took to get back home. The 4K transfer and sound is excellent, and this is one movie that you may will watch often.

My wife had never seen this movie. As we've been on a "space" kick lately, this was a prefect time to introduce her to Apollo 13. I personally hadn't seen this is many of years, so it was a nice refresher to me. Great cast with an excellent story. Movie looked and sounded great on my 4K TV and Klipsch surround. Definitely recommend to any newcomers or just needing a refresher.

Watching this on 4K with a home theater system on a large tv is just awesome. Seeing it, hearing it and feeling it. Yes feeling. Just awesome if you have a nice home theatre.

I agree with the others that say this is a great entertaining movie. This is without a doubt the best with a great story that has entertaining dialog as well as humor throughout. Ron Howard has fast become my favorite Director making movies like this. They honestly could not have picked better actors than Tom Hanks, Bill Paxton, and Kevin Bacon to star in this movie. I honestly do not know what there is not to like about this True Story about survival, courage and determination to bring these men home safely. Definitely a Classic movie to fully enjoy even for the non-spacenuts among us! :).

Film transfer is decent. But what you're expect for an older movie. But the new audio remix is completely worth it. The rocket launch had my chair vibrating.

This movie is one of my favorites. True story and Hanks is at his best when he plays a real person in real situations. Great movie and supporting cast!

Great movie in 4K. The video quality as well as audio transfer makes this a worthwhile purchase if you can find it on sale. Recommended for fans of the movie!

I purchased this movie when it first came out on LaserDisc, and I thought it was just the best looking and sounding version of the film I had ever seen. When the film came out a few years back on Blu-ray I purchased that version also. It was a good step up in picture and sound over the laser disc. This 4K pressing, though, blows the other versions away by far. The detail and clarity of the disc is astonishing. Interior spaceship close-ups, the astronauts' space suits, and the interior of the NASA control room are all rendered beautifully. The DTS-X soundtrack is amazing also. Every little blip and spaceship noise from the instruments are perfectly placed throughout the sound field. The blast off scene from the Apollo 13 rocket ship will have you holding on to your chair. The low-end extension is amazing in this scene and very appropriate elsewhere where it needs to be. This is the best possible version of this movie currently available and well worth the double or triple dip.

Great movie, but old film grain still shows on 4k. But work having because of engaging story.

Ron Howard is as reliable as it gets, although his films are usually fairly plain. Apollo 13 is no different. It isn't as esoteric as something like First Man, but it isn't a thrilling as something like Gravity either. It is good though, and this 4K disc is by far the best viewing option.
