much faster than older models

The speed difference is significant. Careful, as the dimensions are different than older models, so old mounting and covers won't work.

First iPad better than expected by far does everything u could need and more suggest you get the Apple Pencil but not an apple case

Debated between the larger model but decided on this. Unless you really need the extra real estate, the price point makes this one worthwhile for portability. As I travel a lot on flights, the smaller model is less likely to get grief during takeoff/landing and fits in most "pockets" in luggage and other travel gear. Quality is excellent and smart keyboard is simple to use.
