Unreliable expertise

My review is based off the service I received. I purchased this iPad and asked the associate which Apple Pencil is compatible. They tell me and I say I’d like to add it onto my purchase. They say ok, put in the order for store pickup because they didn’t have it in stock. I wait a whole 12 days for this pencil to arrive only for it to not be compatible. Very disappointed that I couldn’t rely on the expertise of the associate and now my time and money is wasted.
