If you need an iPad for more intense tasks like video and music editing I would recommend the iPad Air.

For the price, we couldn't beat this to replace it! Works great and keeps up to the performance of the mini. I wouldn't recommend any other iPad for a kid or adult that just uses it for basic gaming, video watching, or day to day tasks.
