Also because it is Wi-Fi only is lets you connect to Wi-Fi anywhere you are.

Great investment for starting college!

Went from a 3rd gen ipad pro and it was super heavy so i decided to go with the air m3 and definitely like 5xs lighter and a longer battery overall. Honestly best paired with the apple pencil pro!

Functions enough like a laptop when I need it to, and still has the ability to handle games (it handles Fortnite better than my Switch ever has, for example). After investigating and comparing a lot, the iPad won due to its versatility not only for notes taking but also all the capabilities of a tablet. Also the 11” size makes it very portable to carry with me everywhere. I also like it because I can surface internet on a bigger screen without the need of a computer.
