Customers admire the 11-Inch iPad Pro (2nd Generation) for its screen size, ease of use, and camera quality. Many also appreciate its performance and battery life, as well as its lightweight design. However, some find the price to be high. A few users also noted the absence of a home button and headphone jack as drawbacks.

This might be my lengthiest review but here goes nothing. I hope this helps users who are like me. I will end this summary with a comparison between the iPad Pro and the Surface Pro X.
Design:
- Love this design, the screen is truly beautiful. I would be lying if I didn’t say that I was not excited to see the mini led display coming in the new iPad Pros. The fit and finish of this product feels satisfying. I enjoy the round corners and the squared design. It provides a modern and sleek design. One thing I would like to see in the future is if there was a way to create a the kindle like reading on these beautiful displays. I am not sure what has to go into that but it would be nice if you open a pdf, books, or kindle app your device would adapt to the app and change to a e-ink style reader.
Size:
- PERFECT. Ok so if you want to have something that is extremely portable and what the MacBook Air should have been. Then yes get this device. It is easy to hold with one hand. One thing you should know before you buy is that if you are going to use the split screen feature. Go for the larger ipad. The 12.9inch allows for the full availability of the applications when in split screen view. On the 11inch you will see the mobile versions of the applications. So not a deal breaker just something to consider.
Camera:
- Look I don’t care what you say, with how expensive iPhones are these days. Keep your iPhone 6, 7, 8 or Se and just buy this product. when buying a house my wife and I traveled with this and used the camera to measure items, create a mini project using Apple notes and drew designs while eating lunch. I mean come on, it just gets the job done. Now one thing Apple needs to fix is the location of the front facing camera. The location is not bad but the bezel is large enough for a landscape camera. If they want to market this as the best tool and “laptop replacement” then give us a landscape front facing camera option. Other than that the front and rear facing cameras are amazing though. Picture quality is something else. I would like for Apple to make the iPad Pro models to always have the best in class cameras as that will make them stand out from the competitors.
Speed:
- BLAZING FAST. That is it, the speed to which this device operates is truly amazing. I have used the PS4 application on my iPad and taking full advantage of Pro-Motion. Let me tell you, little to no lag and a phenomenal graphics.
Battery life:
- Great for one app at time. I have found in my use that if I am bouncing back and forth between applications my battery will drain quicker. Most likely putting a lot of stress on the RAM and GPU performance for this device. If you stick to one application then you will 100% get that all day batter life, sometimes two full days.
What I use it for:
- I use this as my main computer. I came from a Surface Pro 6 and while I loved that device. Here is why I think you can make the switch. First of all, most people talk a bout the apps and honestly it is true. The apps on iPasOS are just better, smoother, offer more updates, and responsive. I use this mostly for a file storage, PDF’s, and content consumption. My go to apps for this device are: Notability for taking notes, journaling, professional notes, and filing all of my final PDFs to annotate or read later. Notion for keeping track of who I talk to and articles to read at a later time. Things3 for easy to track to-dos and SimpleMindPro for any of my ideas that I want to see on a mind map. All great apps to use if you are like me.
Surface pro X or iPad Pro:
I want to keep this part a little simpler. Know what your needs are when using this device. If you are going to need full Microsoft Office applications, then the answer for you is simple. The surface line up will offer you the best user experience to take full advantage of the MS applications. Not to mention it will be easier to navigate with a cursor we are all familiar with. If you are creating content, finding yourself wanting to write more and have an interactive experience get the ipad. The interaction with your device comes down to how you consume your content. If you find that everything you use is on an app then perhaps that is a sign you could enjoy using an ipad more. If you are more traditional and enjoy a laptop to with tablet like versatility then get the Surface Pro X. I stuck with an IPad Pro because I don’t need to make fancy presentations. I use this for my personal life and my dedicated note taking device at work during meetings and video calls. It works for me and has save me a lot of paper.

I have stayed out of the apple ecosystem for the last 5 years or so. While I still much prefer my Android phone to an iPhone, Apple as a far better tablet experience.
Everything runs very smooth and looks great. The camera is excellent for a tablet, great for Zoom or taking a few casual pictures.
Could it be a lower price for what you get? Yes. But you do get a very high quality tablet with a strong lineup of tablet-specific apps. You could wait for a sale or look at the iPad Air; I do think the new iPad Air that recently came out is finally in that great spot of cost/performance ratio - which is nice to see from Apple.
Using an Apple Pencil with this can turn it into a nice drawing tablet too. So far we have been using it mostly for ad design for our small business. Photoshop, Canva, and a few other apps paired with the fantastic screen and the Apple Pencil make a great design experience.

I purchased this iPad to replace my 10.5 iPad Pro. At first I was worried the .5 inch size difference wasn’t going to be that noticeable, but after using the new iPad, I can actually tell a difference. I love the edge to edge screen and how bright it is. The cameras are perfect for scanning documents and the LiDAR scanner is great for AR. I love how thin and portable this iPad is. I would definitely recommend it over the 12.9 inch version!

I upgraded from an iPad mini. This thing is massive compared to that but I wanted the bigger screen and the gen 2 Apple Pencil is so much better than the old one. I got the Logitech smart folio keyboard to go with it because the apple one is way overpriced. It’s great but it makes it very heavy because it has a batter built in. I usually take it off when I’m just using it around the house, unless I really need a keyboard for something.
It’s really powerful. I can use Remote Desktop to connect to my Windows PC and it looks just like I’m using a Windows laptop.
The 4 speakers make it sound pretty good. I wish it had a headphone jack though. I have the USB-C adapter but there’s no good way to carry it with the iPad so I rarely have it with me when I would have wanted to use it.

This latest generation iPad Pro is a huge upgrade over my old iPad. The processor is super fast, and battery life is great. As usual, the Apple retina display is awesome and the new camera works really well. The only minor complaint I have is that the USB C connector on both ends of the charging cable is no longer compatible with my other chargers or with the 12 volt charger in my car.

i own a business of selling and repairing computers in israel, and i see lot of all kinds of devices every day. this product is one of the best i ever seen. i moved to this ipad from samsung galaxy tab s series and it's really huge upgrade. apple is absolutely win in every aspect of their devices. the screen quality is amazing, the CPU super fast, the camera is great for scanning documents and taking shots outdoor, and the overall performens is very smooth and fast.
the only con in my opinion is the lack of night mode camera. taking photos indoors or at night is very poor. also a native whatsapp for ipad is missing for me, but it's facebook fault, not apple fault.
i think apple is the best technology manufacture this days, and it's just going better every year. tnx apple! love you

This ipad is great. Granite i am not much for reviews but many thing i buy i do a little research before buying. Not this case, due to recent events and the whole lock down that everyone is going through i had to get an ipad for my daughter so she can do her school her. The most current ipad we had at the time is the iPad Air 1st gen. So a lot has happened since then. This new ipad comes with everything. Fast processing, clear displays, great Bluetooth connectivity, etc. you can use a wireless keyboard, mouse, and gaming controllers. Yes your xbox or ps4 controllers can be Bluetoothed on here to play mobile version games if like to game. I haven’t messed with the camera functions yet but there is an AR mode which let you see items that are not there in real life but it is displayed through the camera to see how it would look. Ex: if you want to instal floating shelves on a wall but are unsure. There is an app that will allow you to see your wall with the shelves through this camera function before installing them on the wall. It is a great purchase and the function are versatile for everyday use than my old.

I use my iPad every day for work, not as a computer replacement but as as enhancement. For the most part I review and annotate (many) documents, take notes during meetings, create vector graphics, and make presentations (it is better for that purpose than a laptop, IMO). And yes I also use it for entertainment. Because I use it so much, I decided to upgrade and I don't regret the decision despite the dent in my wallet. The form factor is seriously much more of an improvement than I expected; my wife still refuses to believe the screen is the same size as the previous model (it is). The apple pencil is a slight improvement in terms of operation -- it feels a bit nicer, and I won't miss the removable cap -- but the convenience of attaching it to the side of the device for storage and charging is a game-changer. I no longer have to remember to charge it over-night every few days. I also have the smart folio and it is an excellent improvement over the previous version. The iPad Pro is simply the best-in-class tablet device. The screen is beautiful, it is crazy fast, and the apps are excellent. Since I store my files on iCloud, integration is seemless: documents that I annotate appear on my computer within seconds after changing them. So it is not a laptop replacement for me, but I used it almost as much as I use my laptop.

I decided to upgrade from my iPad Mini 4 and wasn’t sure which new iPad to get so I actually ended up buying and testing Used iPad Gen 5 & Gen 6 9.7”, Gen 7 10.2”, 2018 Pro 12.9” and this New 2020 Pro 11” within a period of about 4 weeks. Although I am not a designer or heavy user I fell in love with the amazing technology that the Pro brings. Mainly, the minimal bezels, 120hz pro-motion, and stereo speakers did it for me. I coupled this with the Apple Smart Keyboard and it’s amazing. Yes, it is a bit pricey for people using their device as a true tablet for surfing, email, and a few videos but the experience with the Pro is second to none. If you have the extra cash or can use Best Buy’s great financing plans I highly recommend it. You will not be disappointed.
Also - there are many people who look at both the 11” and 12.9” Pro and struggle to choose the best one. There are countless threads and YouTube videos which I’ve read and watched myself. Having had both devices, I would advise to REALLY, HONESTLY consider your usage. Replacing a laptop or doing a lot of design work? I’d highly recommend the 12.9. For me, a lot of my use is basic on the couch, sitting in bed, or traveling. I was enamored with the 12’9” Pro when I brought it home, it is truly an amazing piece of technology. After using it around the house for basic surfing and videos for half a day it began to feel kind of obnoxious. Despite how much I loved the larger display it was awkward to hold onto one handed or not prop against something for me. My 11” Pro from Best Buy arrived a couple days later and I was able to use them side by side for my basic purposes. At first the 11” actually felt small after spending so much time on the 12.9” (yes that is odd since I was coming from a MINI!) but I was much happier toting around the 11”. Much easier one-hand operation and more comfortable on the wrist. So, at the end of the day I resold the 12.9” for a large profit which then made my 11” purchase a fantastic deal! I still would love to get a 12.9” again some day.

I have used an Air for years now and only had to give it up because it has a charging problem and I couldn’t live without it to get it fixed. Anyhow, the new one has a great screen - I use it to watch Netflix, etc- and the camera is pretty neat. Also, much lighter than the air while being a little bigger.
Has some weird Essex if you are used to an older model. Annoyingly, a different cord and no way to plug in earphones (though I would bet you can buy them). I don’t have a pen but would probably be a good addition (if I wasn’t afraid of losing it or the dog eating it). My el cheapo Bluetooth headphones work fine with it and the sound is really noticeably better even for watching shows.

I’ve owned several iPad models and this pro model doesn’t disappoint. The screen is incredibly responsive. Battery life is great. Even processor-intensive apps launch quickly and run smoothly. The screen is bright enough for outside use. The cameras are incredible!
The only negative Is that the iPad doesn’t lay flat due to the protruding camera lenses. Getting a case fixed that for me though. This is the first iPad that I feel almost completely replaces a traditional laptop or desktop computer.

This is the lightest, quickest and most enjoyable iPad ever. I bought the magic keyboard with it and that has turned this into a beast. I have not taken out my Chromebook since I got this iPad Pro. The speakers are great, the display is better than any I have encountered. The 11 inch is perfect. Almost feels like the MacBook Air 11 inch that was out a few years back in terms of size. I highly recommend this device. Oh and the face unlock is fantastic, no more Touch ID for me!

I love my iPad Pro. It's my mini laptop and goes where I go if I'm going to be away from home for any length of time. I especially love the productivity I get when connecting it to the Magic Keyboard made for it. I bought this in 2021 and am just now writing this review. I hope to get many years out of this and hope to only part with it if I decide to upgrade.
