I USE THIS IPAD EVERYDAY, FOR WORK AND PERSONAL USE, I REALLY LOVE IT. WORKS SMOOTHLY AND THE KEYBOARD IS GREAT! I TAKE IT WITH ME WHEN I TRAVEL TOO, TAKES LESS SPACE AND MUCH LIGHTER THAN MY PREVIOUS LAPTOP.

I’m a freshman in high school and needed a smaller laptop since my Alienware one was too big. I take an AP Human geo course as well as a few honors classes so I have to have to use various sources and apps which are more useful on an ipad than a regular pc (such as the ‘notes’ app that apple provides for free). I needed something lightweight that wouldn’t take up too much room in my backpack and this was honestly perfect. Using the apple pencil, I’m able to complete virtual mapping labs without using too much paper and even use the split-screen view to help with other assignments all at once. I bought the magic keyboard and it has also helped a lot which does make typing really easy and quick unlike the school chromebooks for example (They lag a lot and the screen is small). The ipad’s screen size is overall great in my preference, because I personally think that if you’re trying to draw or watch videos and need something to see clearly enough, this is very useful to not strain your eyes as much. I’ve seen someone in my class with the 11” in. except it really does look small. The 12” in. is big, but not as big as as one of those huge HP laptops that a lot of students like to use. If you don’t need to use heavy software, the ipad is a good choice. Some things I really like about it are 1. It’s easy to get used to, 2. Using it with the apple pencil and magic keyboard makes it very versatile and handy, 3. The screen is wide and long; the display is really nice, 4. If you use chrome instead of safari, it feels more like a laptop, and 5. It’s reallly good to watch movies on because the sound is top notch. A downside would most likely be the overwhelming price of it all because the ipad itself is already expensive. This can definitely be a laptop replacement so that’s why I prefer using it. But another downside is that there’s no headphone jack! You can buy one for $9 on amazon or the amazon store (which is in-person), though. Hope this was a bit helpful. (I added in a photo with what I use the apple pencil for)

Love it , upgraded from the 1st gen 9.7 iPad Pro to the 4th gen 12.9 pro and so far is the best iPad I’ve ever own, super fast and great cellular antenna I haven’t use my MacBook Air since I bought the iPad Pro 2020 , I can do anything in it . Super light and portable and even though is 12.9 in reality is more like 11.5 so is not that big as the 12.9 first gen . Worth every penny

I upgraded from the regular IPad 7th gen and this IPad Pro is a game changer . Gaming on this IPad is great especially with a controller playing games with good graphics like Call of Duty Mobile or Grid Autosport racing . It could also handle photo editing/video editing with ease . The speakers are good while streaming your favorite shows on YouTube, Netflix and Hulu

The iPad Pro was an awesome purchase and I was nervous at first due to only having MacBooks or MacAir Truly no nerves now and only great results. The iPad runs smooth, the features are ideal, and the processing is just as good as my MacAir. The iPad is not as heavy as reviewers may say. You will def need protection from dropping or scratches. Yet, overall I am loving the fact that I have made this purchase for my ultimate laptop/IPad needs.

The 12.9" Ipad Pro for 2020 (4th gen) is a quality product to be sure. Sturdy build, fairly rugged for something with a large piece of glass attached to it, and great performance with the new chip set. Faster wifi than previous model, great screen, and enough processing power to run anything in the app store. However, there are a couple of issues with the new model. First, the nearly edge-to-edge screen makes holding the device difficult (my fingers inadvertently touch the screen sometimes, making the page change or move), Second, the camera can take pictures in portrait mode, but only using the front camera (the array of lenses on the back of the device apparently can't do portrait mode--weird), Third, the price structure for iPads is a little strange. You purchase the device (in this case about $1250 for the 256GB cellular model), then add sales tax (in Illinois that about $130), then add apple care (2 years for $129), and finally an apple pencil (which I highly recommend--$130), a case or cover (I got the apple smart folio for $120), and if you want the new apple Magic Keyboard, well that's another $349. And did you want a rapid-charger for your iPad (it takes something like seven hours to fully charge without one)? You can see how this goes. So to sum up, I would say apple made a very good device that is hampered by decisions that either don't make a lot of sense (portrait mode on the selfie camera only), or are impractical but look good (edge-to-edge screen). And the purchase price is a bit like a down payment in that to really use the device you will need a few very pricey accessories.

I finally upgraded my iPad and couldn’t be happier with my purchase. I use this instead of a laptop so I bought the bigger screen with Wi-Fi and cellular, 265GB, along with the keyboard and Microsoft home office. Anything I do on my computer I can do on my new iPad, plus much more. I can’t take pictures on my computer, but I can on my iPad. It takes great pictures which I can see on a larger screen, which makes editing easier. It is light weight, easy to carry, and I take it with me everywhere (along with my phone).

Great camera! Love the size, even though it’s large it’s light to hold. Very fast processing time, also got the Apple Pencil which is also fantastic. I can do anything on this. So not regret getting at all.

I don’t even know where to begin... but this is, hands down, the best iPad that Apple’s released, ever. I’ve had iPads since the very first generation years ago and always felt that there isn’t ever really a huge “jump” from one generation to the next — only significant and noticeable changes every other model, or so. However, this one blows iPad Pro Gen. 3 and all predecessors out of the water! There’s a HUGE improvement from Gen. 3 to 4! I’m an interior designer and use all Apple products (iMac in my studio, MacBook Pro when on-site and mobile, and my iPad Pro everywhere - especially for client meetings, sketches, cad, and taking notes/gathering information for projects). This iPad’s fantastic though. The battery life *actually* lasts as long as Apple touts, the screens resolution and clarity is SO much more vibrant and clear, and it’s fast! No lagging, no apps closing, and no dead battery after using for four hours! I toggle between heavy apps all day long and this thing keeps up... it’s amazing! My ONLY complaint is with the Magic Keyboard. The iPad’s sides aren’t protected at all, and if you use it to write or sketch with, think again... you have to remove it from the keyboard every single time since the magic keyboard doesn’t flip under/backwards. So, that was a bit of a miss on Apple’s part. They could’ve at least sold a smart case separately to give the option of a little more protection. Other than that, I have absolutely nothing but praise for the new iPad! It’s great for anyone, but it’s especially a must-have for designers and architects!

I purchased this for my daughter who is starting to get into graphic design. I also purchased this with the Apple Pencil. We had a iPad 4th Gen previous to this purchase. The Pro is super fast, the battery life is amazing, and the screen is beautiful. We opted for the largest screen and it was worth it. Surprisingly this is also a pretty light device. The old iPad 4 we have is heavier.

I wasn't sure I was going to like the size of this because I thought it would be so much bigger than the 10.5, but I was surprised at how much better I liked it. I am older and eyesight is getting a little bad so this makes it much easier to see. It's super fast and the camera is awesome. Love it!

I ended up taking back because I want the New Samsung galaxy Tab S7 plus . An oled 5g 12" tablet with DEX built in and SD card expansion and XBOX GAMEPASS compatible !!!!!!!!!!!! Sure you can enjoy more tablet oriented apps and all that APPLE can offer but don't like that you're cramp in apples regulations . Not too open like an android tablet . And they didn't want to allow Xbox gamepass but I understand that it would kill there apple arcade. Overall a great tablet that you can own but I'll have more fun with My portable XBOX in a tab, lol.

Bought the second generation 12.9 pro a few years and found it unwieldy at the time. I've owned the iPad since its first generation and bought several (Air, 10.1 Pro, etc...)for family members over the past 10 years. After some research on the latest model (mini-led + XDR), I decided the higher end display and M1 chip aren't necessary for my needs (browsing, movies, email, MS Office). The 4th gen iPad Pro with Cellular came at a 150$ difference, which was easy to justify when you think of monthly data plan, and how quickly thing add up. You no longer need a dedicated sim slot because of e-sim capabilities as well, so one less port/slot to worry about. On my original comment about the 2nd gen being unwieldy, the 4th gen has come a long way since then. The size, weight and weight distribution makes this a very easy tablet to carry around. If the price drop further for Memorial day or closer to the holidays, this would be a great deal overall. Your independent use cases and mileage may vary, but the 12.9 fits my needs perfectly. Hope this helps someone out there.
