Even though I don't have iPad, I bought it due to fast charging. Because the external charger i bought for my iPhone requires 2.1 amp charger. As always, iPhone products are trustworthy.

Have some non Apple chargers which don’t work well. Replaced with 12 watt charger. Quicker charge and no interruptions during charges. Great charge adapter.

I bought an aftermarket 12v block it charged my iPad for the 1st use and that was it. This one from Best Buy has worked every time.
