The Apple iMac is the best all-inclusive desktop for the money unless you really love Windows. The attention to detail and sleek design are tops! The machine is powerful and runs great. The 21.5 inch screen picture is awesome. Getting this for a discount over Apple's never-reduced prices was a plus!

    Fantastic item, but not perfect

This is the quintessential Apple item. Perfectly designed, great display, very fast, expensive and very proprietary. I love how fast it is, how easy it is to use, how great it looks and the design of all of the features. But I am not crazy about how I cannot expand the memory or hard drive. This computer is incredibly fast, so I don't expect to need to upgrade it any time soon. But it's disappointing that I'll need to buy a brand new item when that day comes.

We love our new Apple computer. It is so user friendly and smart. Even a non-techy person can easily learn how to use it. It is a big improvement over our old Dell PC. It only cost a couple hundred dollars more than the Dell package that we considered, but it is well worth it.

I love the MAC computer my husband purchased for me. I was hesitant to switch from DELL to MAC but am so happy I did! I love the ease of the system and the integrated features with my IPhone and IPad. The performance is wonderful and it just plain WORKS all the time!!

I love Mac computers mainly because of their dependability. I've owned my MacBook since 2009 and it still works like a charm. I've been wanting a desktop computer as well and found this one for $300 off! I couldn't pass up that deal. The 21.5 inch iMac is the perfect size for my desk. The 27 inch was nice and all but too big for me. If you are some sort of photo/video editing professional, I would say get the 27". Otherwise, the 21.5" is perfect for your normal daily tasks such as web browsing/spreadsheets/note taking. Obviously, the screen is gorgeous. The setup is very very easy and I was able to transfer all my info from the MacBook with no problems. I wanted the 2013 model because you can upgrade the internals later on down the road. The 2015 models have everything smoldered on so it's impossible to upgrade anything. Overall, I love this computer and I plan to have it for many years to come.

We all love the Mac desktop! The screen is large but not too big for our desk. The computer was easy to use right out of the box. It was a GREAT price and we chose the 12 month financing that was available.

Switching over from Microsoft to Apple was easier than I thought it would be. Very happy with the performance of my new Mac. Fast, easy to set up and very impressive graphics. Still learning some of the shortcuts but for an old guy I think I'm doing well.

This computer has been amazing. Buying with the $150 off sweetened the deal even more. Would gladly have paid full price for this fine piece of technology. Great for everyday use and getting kids familiar with computers and how they should run.

Apple makes a great pc. Slim modern fast.. The screen size and resolution is great. Easy to set up 1-2-3.. Coming from a Windows os takes a little bit get used to. The sleemless integration with my iphone 6 and iPad is the cherry on the cake.

I have just about every portable Apple/Mac product out there, but this was the first desktop unit I've purchased. It is everything you would expect from Apple. Sleek design (how do you they hid the processor and hard drive in there??), and all the design elements you'd expect from Apple. It wasn't inexpensive, but I'm hoping it will last for several years for our daughter to get through middle and high school. Beautiful screen. I have the retina screen at work, but I honestly can hardly tell the difference. This "non-retina" unit is less expensive, and just as "wow-worthy." My daughter is disappointed that Minecraft is hard to figure out on this unit, but that's such a minor thing. I'm glad we made the investment even if it means we'll be paying it back for more than a year. lol

After using a PC for the last four years, it's delightful to be back with an Apple product for my computing needs. There have been numerous upgrades and improvements since I had my last Apple (first generation OS X) so I'm just getting back up to speed with Pages and iPhoto, but overall, I couldn't be happier with the speed, graphics display, and ease of use. My only gripe (and it's a small one) is the lack of a numeric keypad on the keyboard that comes with the system, but for about $50 I can upgrade to a full size keyboard.

Had been a Windows user before there was "Windows", so was hesitant about changing over to Mac/Apple. Had only even looked athem once or twice over the years, not counting iPads & iPhones. After looking at new PC replacements with the options and builds that I needed and wanted, This level of iMac wasn't any more expensive, or even as expensive as the PCs were adding up to. Love the simplicity and styling, no cables all over the place to hide or work around. Nice keyboard and mouse that doesn't need to be immediately upgraded. Display is as good if not better than anything out there. The "Retina" would have been nice but not nessasary. A person sets down to use this computer, they'll see someone took time and thought about how people actually sit and use computers at home, not about how cheap they can build things and get away with "the customer/user will adjust". From opening the box, thru setting up and using, Apple makes sure it feels like a special experience and that you've purchaced something a bit different, a bit better. Changing from Windows to OS X, I don't know what the big deal everyone thinks there is and all the "re-learning" is all about. Different? Yes it is, but not hard at all. Within a day not even thinking about it. Fast and easy setup and fast activation. the desk is cleaner and more organised. I think anyone who wants something a little more than an entry level or disposable home computer would be happy with this model. Heavy gamers may not be happy, but for near anything else at home or small business, this is a good level to have. Plenty of ram, way more drive space than most will ever need, nice viewing area on the display.

The new iMacs are an amazing machine. Definitely more costly but that's the way it is with Apple; you get what you pay for. I love the fact everything with the machine is contained in the monitor, really conserving space. It's fast, easy to set up and reliable. The only drawback I can think of is the new iMacs don't come with a DVD drive built in, although you can get a decent external drive for around $40. I would recommend these iMacs to anyone who loves Apple products and is in the market for a desktop.

This is my second iMac. The first I bought in 2006 - it lasted 9 years - try using a Windows computer for 9 years! The new iMac is just as great as the first - a little sleeker, and I like the wireless keyboard and mouse. Performance is the biggest change and everything on the new machine executes incredible quickly. OS/X Yosemite has some great features also. Apple continues to deliver the best.

I was hesitant to purchase this computer at first because of the it's price, but it is totally worth it. It's easy to use and navigate through. I was afraid I would have a hard time with it since I use an HP computer at work. I did not care for the keyboard only because it did not have a 10-key pad. I just hooked up my wireless keyboard and problem solved. Oh and it does not have a DVD drive so that was purchased separately. Plus I used Ebates to purchase the computer and DVD drive online for 1% back and picked both items up in store :)

First it is a Mac, that being said the quality, craftsmanship and function are superb. This computer is replacing two Macbook Pros in our household. With the use of iPads and iPhones our MacBooks had become stationary base stations. The iMac fits this role perfectly, giving us a little more bang for our buck by losing mobility we were not using anyway. Great, fast computer with plenty of memory and amazing screen. Size is a huge plus as well. Love it and have no regrets on this purchase. As far as reliability I will base that on the fact those two MacBooks are at my office now where they are outperforming my PC's that are 3 years younger than my macs.

I was skeptical about Apple because I'm not good with computers. However, I was looking for a computer that wouldn't crash when using many multiple windows (I'm working on my Masters and completing an internship), was easy to use, and simple to understand. The screen works very well with multiple windows, Apple is very simple to understand and navigate, and I've had no problems (aside from getting used to shortcuts).

I finally bought an iMac after years of dealing with PCs (from Windows 3.1 to Windows 7). I'm glad I did! Right out of the box you can see the quality and thought put into, not only the product, but the packaging as well. Set up was straight forward and easy. If you have the time, I highly recommend using the "Transfer from a PC" option. It took about 8 hours (ran overnight), but copied everything from photos, music, documents, and even my favorites from Internet Explorer. While the iMac versions of Pages, Numbers, Keynote, and Notes will open your Microsoft office files (Excel, Word, etc), they are not completely compatible. I recommend getting Microsoft Office for iMac. Mail setup was easy as well. Having an iPhone and iMac means they are designed to work together, another plus. Even though iOS is laid out different and takes a little getting used to, it really does make sense once you start using it. I recommend this product and wonder what took me so long....oh yeah, the price. Don't settle for a cheaper PC, spend the extra money and get an iMac. You will be glad you did, I know I am.
